I absolutely loved the "This is your Jeep" section. I now plan on camping frequently with my Jeep, but it wasn't always that way. I really just wanted one because I thought they look cool lol. And it wasn't until afterwards, thanks to the Jeep community, that I really started exploring the potential of the vehicle, and it's seriously a lifestyle change.

I'm sure you're counting down the days until it arrives, and I hope you have a blast driving it and making new memories. First time Jeep owner here! 2017 JKU Rubicon in Chief, mine was pretty heavily modified by the previous owner, so my first few steps into my Jeep have been trying to return it to at least OEM+. I bought it about 3 days ago at the time of this comment, and I've been met with nothing but warm welcomes from the community, even with my temp tag still on lol. It always makes me smile when I get a wave, or even getting my first duck the day I bought it, love the Jeep community so far.

Good stuff Matt ! I've been driving Jeeps since 1978 and the one thing I've noticed is the people with new Jeeps don't know about the Jeep wave. I wave to all the Wranglers and some look at me like I have 2 heads. I guess that there not real Jeepers, just trying to look cool, and they do.

I just got my first Jeep. Been stalking this channel. Got a 2022 Willys. I have to say the handling at highway speed is crazy. The husband says my mudders need to wear down a bit to reduce sway. I’ve mastered the mountain roads and LOVE it! The highway is not my friend yet. I will adapt but man, I would have loved the warning. I was white knuckling it on Georgia 400 yesterday morning.

Tire balance and wheel alignment is key. Also need to make sure all the ball joints and linkages are good. Get yourself into a jeep club and they will fix a lot of these issue for you for free. That is one of the biggest benefits to owning a jeep. I just fixed my sons friends moms jeep. She needed new ball joints, tie rods and hubs. Did all of that and it just cost her about 300 bucks. There are people that have connections and discounts on parts etc. A lot of times you can even break something and someone else will have that part because they upgraded it and need to get it out of their garage so they will give it to you are sell it really cheap. There is no community like the jeepers.

Hey Matt thanks for the nice video. We bought our first Wrangler in June and are enjoying it very much. Have been on a few long trips with it and find it very comfortable. Haven’t gone off road yet but will eventually. I put rock rails and door sill protectors on it, and will eventually put on all terrain tires, although the stock Michelin all season tires are pretty good. Nothing but good things to say so far. You are really helping us decide what WE want in our Jeep. Just us and the dogs visiting National Parks. Maybe tow a small teardrop camper. Not rock crawlers but we do live in the country and need to get through deep snow to get to our house some days 😂. You are correct want to order the right stuff up front and not have buyers remorse. Hey Matt! I’m a huge Wrangler fan and I have always wanted one since I was a kid. I always planned on getting one when I got older; but now that I’ve hit the 30-year milestone in my life, the thought of owning my dream vehicle-a High Velocity Yellow Sahara (4xe if I dream extra hard)-still feels like a pipe dream.
Every time I build my own Wrangler on Jeep’s site, I get a little depressed when I see the final price tag. Even with a 10-20% down payment my monthly would still be $1000/month… Does everyone here comfortably pay that or am I missing something? It’s mind boggling to me that people can afford 1-3 of these babies at a single time.
I really enjoy being part of this group and seeing everyone’s dreams come to fruition. So my main question for you is this: How did you get there? How did you acquire your dream car(s)? I’d love any advice that you can provide! Thanks!

Paid $585 (financed) for my first 2016 Jeep wrangler unlimited sport then traded that in with 68k miles for a 2023 Jeep wrangler Sahara Altitude and pay $491 (lease to own). I didn’t pay anything upfront for either of the jeeps. Have good credit. Keep negotiating! Go to more than one dealership… find someone who will work with you. There’s a dealership who will want to beat anything offered to you.

I've been enjoying upgrading my Jeep since I bought it last year. I started with tube doors for the summer. Then it was a front bumper, winch, led lights and upgraded skid plates. This spring I followed up with the matching rear bumper. I have a few more mods I want to do but in the end I still want my Jeep to look like a Jeep. I don't want to go too overboard and I figure that with mine being a 2 door I'll have better choices in driving lines offroad and don't necessarily have to go insane with lifts and huge tires. So to me things like diff protection which is not really visible is more important than some crazy grille. But that's me. I gut my chops years ago with Hummers and I thoroughly enjoyed a 1999 H1 that I had, but the Jeep is the modern day alternative and it's much smaller size makes it to me anyways a better choice.

What you are going to lose is ride comfort in a big way so be prepared for that.

I go back and forth on whether a Jeep is right for me. I live on a few hundred acres, mostly hunting land with old logging trails. I'm not really into off roading but I think a Jeep might be able to function as both a family vehicle (two kids) and a utility vehicle on my land. I work from home and am only a few miles out of town so I don't put on many miles, not super concerned about gas mileage. If it would mean I don't have to but a UTV, a Jeep might make sense...But maybe a truck would be better...or just a car and a side by side. Any opinions from people who know Jeeps?

I really want a Jeep but can't wrap my head around the price for the one I want. I know that they're a blast and I've had a lot of fun in my buddies, but dropping 65-70k seems nutty. I can "afford" one but I keep thinking about all the other things we could invest in and earn a return on. Maybe I need to just get over myself and buy an older one to mod out. Could probably get something decent for 30k all in and not use it as my everyday driver.

Man are you reading my mind. We finally put in our order yesterday. Settled on a sarge rubicon with the 6spd (wife insisted on manual). kept addons to a minimum, premium soft top, cold weather, and tow. One thing that pushed me into the rubicon, even though I liked the interior on the sport s more (come on tan cloth and no red), was that I was already saying "well I can swap the front axle with a dana44 takeoff", "well, I can re-gear and add ox lockers", well you get the point. I have SO MANY garage projects including a bus conversion, that I figured, lets just start on the right foot and it's all under warranty. I had a 6spd frontier pro4x years ago and I loved it for a lot of the stuff in the rubicon, dana 44s, locker, lift, bigger tires, suspension, skids. so it definitely seemed like the right decision since I used all of it and this is even better. This video is really on point though, I tried to be SUPER honest with myself, don't cheap out because you'll spend the money in the end, and know what you want to do.
The only thing I'm on the fence on was I didn't opt for the 4.88 gears. I'm probably going to kick myself when I have to spend a weekend some day pulling the diffs apart to put them in, but we're not ditching the 33s until they wear out, and I figured with the 4.88s it would be really weird to drive.

After that…do exactly what he said in the video and make it how u want! Screw what people think. If you like it then do it. Last March (2023) I bough my first but second hand Jeep. 2009 Jeep JK Shorty ( 2 Door) hard top in Manual Transmission. I only drive manuals. I love her and will never ever drive another sedan. I already added a touch screen for Apple Car Play for music, maps and phone etc. also a reverse camera installed at same time. I would love to buy a secondhand soft top converter for this Jeep. I also need to touch up the wheels and nuts as they were bit looked after by previous owners. 2 previous owners I believe. Original windscreen also which is awesome. She has been well looked after for sure. Down the track I hope to upgrade to another 2 door newer model but second hand as I can’t afford brand new ❤°|||||||°❤ I love the iconic Jeep stripes and lights look

I've had a Jeep Sport 2 dr since 2016. I love it. I got a Jeep Wrangler for more capability in Winter. Winter in Canada can be challenging and getting around in and after a big storm or blizzard is huge plus for me. Heck I don't even shovel the parking space out back that's what 4WD is for!
Here's what I would add: Steering vagueness in Jeeps is legendary but if you add an aftermarket suspension lift kit that will improve greatly as so many parts are changed and re-configured that steering gets way better (if it's done properly). You have to name your Jeep, I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned in the video, name your Jeep, do it , now it's mandatory. They are noisy, get used to it, they have a rougher ride, it's a Jeep, tough it out, you bought a Jeep you are not a wimp. You pull up to a stop light, next to you is a ( insert fancy sports car here). Who's ride is cooler? Yours is of course, yours has a name. Does his/hers have a name? Probably not but yours is cooler anyway.

Guys, if you plan on lifting your jeep and putting some bigger tires in it, change the front driveshaft the stock drive shaft on these jeeps aren’t meant for that type of rotation at the angle and will wear a lot quicker, also track bar, tie rod bar, ball joints it’s expensive but it will make your life easier if you plan on having it a long time peace ✌️

#6 JEEP stand for Just Empty Every Pocket. You can spend a fortune on aftermarket stuff. most of it is not needed. depending on which model you purchased. for example, a Sport or Sahara model may need a lift, bigger tires and gears if you plan to take it rock crawling. but they are perfectly fine if you just hit dirt roads and go camping. even with stock wheels and tires, they are more capable than most people's driving capabilities. I have owned 3. a 95 YJ Sahara, a 05 TJ Sport X, and my current 2015 JKU Rubicon Hard Rock Edition. my 95 got a 2-inch lift and 33-inch tires. my 05 for a lift, bigger tires, gears, and a killer Kenwood sound system, CB, and some chrome tube bumpers, mound for jerry cans, and a high lift jack, lockers, and much more. but I have not had to modify my Rubicon hardly at all. just mounts for the high lift jack and some jerry cans. from the factory it is far more capable than my driving skills off road. in 9 years, it has never let me down, or left me stranded, or stuck in some place i could not get out of. you don't need all the goodies to go off road in your jeep. people survived outdoors long before jeeps. just get out and have fun.

    Hahaha the Jeep wave!
I drove a Corvette 77. I put over 400 miles on it and people would wave at me and I had a Harley and you know there’s a Harley wave. I got rid of both of them and I bought the Jeep and I thought, thank God I don’t have to do the wave anymore and then there’s a “Jeep wave”? I can understand it if it was my dad’s navy issue 1946 Willis jeep, but a jeep wave just cause I bought Jeep off the lot? 😂. Thank you for explaining that to me.
BTW that Corvette took me places a truck couldn’t go. When I found out the frame had been welded from a major hit and it already had well over 200,000 miles “I drove it like I stole it”. Going from the vette to a jeep was slightly disappointing because the turning radius of a vette and I literally passed parked trucks and jeeps getting to back woods blue grass parties. I could take that vette to the front door. “Hey honey I’m riding back with Mary to the truck when she leaves” I mean 4 miles deep in the woods! 😂. The only problem was the oil pan on the bottom. A Chevy truck engine with massive tires and a fiberglass body, I went places my Jeep can’t go.
When my father died the navy issue 1946 Willis Jeep was still running. My father was born in 1925. He was a life long military man. He retired at 72 years old. I wanted it bad. But there were family issues and we had to have a forced auction.

When I got the car the shifter was all the way up in 4lo. But am I supposed to keep it there or put that in neutral? I just left it in 4lo and it seems to be fine? I’d just hate to be using 4lo without knowing it and mess something up but I also don’t wanna flip it to neutral and start driving and mess it up.
