Adriana getting killed was the most shocked I've ever been over a characters death, especially the way they swerved the audience, when the episode was over I just sat in my chair for an hour in shock and sadness
If you get the chance, check out the behind the scenes footage from that. Drea actually leaned into Michael's choke to make it look and be more real. That and the scene where Chrissy dragged Ardrianna out by her hair. Michael actually did grab her hair. The sled that Drea was supposed to be on broke. So she told Michael to drag her out by her hair. Awesome chemistry they had in real life!❤🎉
Phil didn't say goodbye to his grandchildren, he babbled like a baby and then got himself got and quite frankly my estimation of him as a man just fucken plummeted
Such an incredible show the Sopranos was... Everything was perfect. Makes me sad knowing there likely won't ever be anything as good in our life time for a series
The dialogue sometimes annoyed me; one character would say something that would've normally elicited a related response, but then, the person they were speaking to would say something that had nothing to do with the topic. It's all through the show. Here's an example: after AJ's attempted suicide, he's at home, looking for his belt but Carmella is talking about oatmeal.
Phil’s death was indeed satisfying, but it wasn’t painful. He died instantly from the head shot; the wheel pulping his head was just icing on the cake.
I only just watched the Sopranos recently cause of lockdown and I wanted something new to watch. Have to say its one of my favourite shows now. Also one thing I didn't expect for the show was how funny ot could be
Adriana. I didn't even LIKE her, but her death seemed personal and brutal. It felt ...real somehow....she seemed so scared, my heart pounded with fear.
Yeah. Bobby's death hurt me. He was born into that life, but he had a great heart. Better than most law-abiding citizens since fear of the consequences wasn't his motivating factor. You could make a top ten list of the moments Bobby showed real virtue. My number one, for sure.
Honestly Phil Leotardo’s death was the most satisfying of the entire series considering how despicable & hell bent on revenge he is. Also the fact that that it took the both help of the FBI and Phil’s crew to finally track him down and take him out
Adriana's death is absolutely number 1. I remember watching it when it first aired. Long Term Parking is still the episode that is the most affecting for me (maybe other than Employee of the Month, which I sometimes skip during rewatches because That Scene is too harrowing). I would also say that Tracee's death at the hands of Ralph ought to be in here with honourable mentions to Minn Matrone and the waiter Paulie shoots in the face outside the restaurant, too.
I love the arc of Ralph turning his life around and growing as a character, realizing how important family actually is and how it placed against Tony being super selfish and egotistical and not being able to handle Ralph being a better man then him.
It's wild how the show insisted on trying to make you feel "Hey, maybe Ralph isn't completely horrible" before you remember that he beat a completely innocent young woman to death outside the strip club while high as a kite and was never seen showing even a smidgen of regret at any point after.
Pussy’s death was the saddest for me. I knew it had to be done, but it didn’t make it any less painful. Adriana‘s death was pretty harsh, but also understandable. It was kind of unfair because she was tricked, but still. She was forced Into being an informant, if I remember correctly. I remember her tiny moan right before she was shot. I didn’t cry, but I was close with both of these deaths. I remember being so shocked by the vomit with Adriana though. Jesus-that’s my biggest phobia. It was tough watching this series with that phobia. It seems like vomit was the new blood back then.
Yessss, i say this all the time. The FBI forced her into being an informant after bullshitting her and telling her they got her on cocaine possession with intent to distribute when all she had was a very small amount for personal use. But her dumb gullible ass fell for it instead of telling Chris or even Tony, and would have easily got out of it with a lawyer. FBI hands down got her clipped
Paulie killing the old lady friend of his mother's he was robbing I found darkly comedic too. Paulie did some despicable things but you can't help but find him amusing.
She actually got what she deserved. Her character embodied all the stereotypes of a narcissistic consequence-avoiding person. She thought that jut LIKING music qualified her to run a club, or that whatever SHE did was ok but was wrong for others. She should have known that informing would eventually get her killed.
I remember the death of Gigi Cestone was a bit shocking as he died on the toilet 🚽 from a heart attack. At first you think he’s just fighting constipation.
I like her too. Sure, she's eccentric and selfish at times, but so is every other character. She arguably has the most positive character arc too, learning not just to stand up for herself, but also really putting in a lot of work to become both a better mother and sister in the later seasons.
After the saints of Newark and how Chris’s dad was the one to be there for Tony thru everything and was gonna apologize before being killed it been crazier looking back on Christopher’s death
Tbh Christopher’s death really got to me. Not only did I like his character but that was a HORRIBLE way to go. First your in excruciating pain then you get suffocated to death by your own uncle as you choke on your own blood and it spills into your lungs. And IT WAS HIS OWN NEPHEW….Cold asf.
I saw another video that had Christopher's death. A person commented that he was wheezing and coughing up blood, indicating that he had a pneumothorax. He would've been dead within the hour. Tony just hastened it. His death was a bit of a mercy killing.
the worst (or best) part of the whackings is that usually you wanted the guy to die (like Richie or Ralph), but they don't get whacked for the reasons you really want them to be
I think the number one death scene should have been when Tony got whacked. If you watch the last few episodes leading up to the series finale there are hints leading up to Tony's death which the show writer David Chase has already confirmed. In case you were not watching carefully the finale scene we see Tony walking up to the window at the restaurant and he looks in the window and sees himself sitting at the booth, which indicates that was his spirit watching his own death again. Also, in the episode prior we see Tony with members of his family go into hiding and he goes upstairs to sleep, yet when he wakes up its very bright and he is surrounded by an all -white background. That was him lying in his casket, and then he relived the last 24 hours of his life leading up to his death. I also believe Uncle Junior was also dead because the jacket Tony wears to see him just before the restaurant scene, is the same one, he had on outside the restaurant where he saw himself sitting at the booth, so most likely Junior died from dementia while sitting in his wheelchair and Tony's spirit went to see him. You can tell no one in that room saw Tony there talking to him. Just watch the scene and you will see what I am referring too. Sopranos was a great show!!!!!!!
There were a few brutal deaths, but nothing will top Phil's head getting crushed while his wife watched and his grandkids were in the car. And the poor teenagers seeing it as well. One of them puked
Bobby got me, broke my heart, he may have been a criminal but he had a heart. There were so many deaths in the sopranos that should have been mentioned though, as a few people have said. I do have to say, Christopher's death was right out there, the look in Tony's eyes blew me away
Yeah. Bobby's death hurt me. He was born into that life, but he had a great heart. Better than most law-abiding citizens since fear of the consequences wasn't his motivating factor. You could make a top ten list of the moments Bobby showed real virtue. My number one, for sure.
For me its Eugene hanging himself in his basement, whether meant or imagined I felt David Chase portrayed his last moments as being full of regret the way he tries to untie the noose and fights til the end, like I say thats my take on it. Bobbies death was saddest because he was the most decent amongst them all.

It makes me wonder if it was a subtle callback to when Christopher called it “Law and Order: The SUV”. But probably not
Just shows how stupid these guys are lol
He went from riding in SUVs to being another case in The SVU, Sopranos Victims Unit
Was checking to see if anyone else caught that
Adrianna was the worse. She just got outsmarted by the fbi. She was beaten by Chris their whole relationship. I just felt bad for her.
Braking bad .
@@godisdeadandwememedhim4174 breaking
I mean Breaking bad
Better call saul, breaking bad, barry, first two seasons of fargo. To name a few.
I think Jackie Aprile, Jr. should have at least merited an honorable mention.
I guess they don’t know who his father was
yes, but at the same time it wasnt shocking he was killed based on the facted he did what he did at that poker game.
And Vito for sneaking up on him.
@@heisensaul5538 so by the same logic Tony B shouldn’t be on the list?
Jackie Jr had one of the most laughably poorly done death scenes.
The best TV Show of all time. It stills holds up even to this day.
The technology advances so fast, yet so slow lol
They were still using huge monitor screens from the olden days and no smart phones.
Do you think Tony’s Dead? The creators of the show seem to confirm it?
@@mr.throwback4875 The whole point of it is that there is no answer. Its supposed to be left up to interpretation
What about that movie they just released? It was ok honestly a little pointless but idk maybe 😃 issued something
No argument there
Also the fact that that it took the both help of the FBI and Phil’s crew to finally track him down and take him out
Agree. He never saw Walden coming.
Minn's was hilarious!
I laughed even more knowing that Tony Sirico had to chase and "kill" a woman old enough to be his mom!😂😂😂
I’ll never forgive them for what they did to Adriana 😭
She was a snitch 💯
@@adamgordon2572 Not really that Black & White..She was So Sweet, to soft and kind for that life.. Broke My Heart 💔

Come on who didn't cheer when Janice shot Richie and shot him a 2nd time to finish the job

Totally agree. Worked with spit, feces, urine but Adriana upchucking got to me. Worked in a hospital lab.
@@sandranorman5469 wait what are you guys talking about I’m confused lol? She didn’t vomit before her death, so what scene are you talking about?
She vomited during the police interview, big pussies death was the most intense
@@Chris-2 when they bring her in for interrogation much earlier in the series she gets nervous and vomits all over the table
This might as well be called "The ten killings on the Sopranos in some particular order."
The blundetto hit sucked cause I wanted to see more Buscemi in the series
Vito's death shocked me the most. He was a young man, and without the weight, a health man, with longevity.
Like a young Travolta
Phil had the funniest death 😂😂
Paulie killing the old lady friend of his mother's he was robbing I found darkly comedic too. Paulie did some despicable things but you can't help but find him amusing.
It wasn’t funny as much as satisfying. I hated Richie Aprile and Ralphie.
I like how you called phil's car an SVU. nice reference to chris and little carmine's meeting with ben kingsley
Ade’s death should’ve been 1. We all knew chris was gonna die early in life like his father. Her death was more emotional for the viewer.
She actually got what she deserved. Her character embodied all the stereotypes of a narcissistic consequence-avoiding person. She thought that jut LIKING music qualified her to run a club, or that whatever SHE did was ok but was wrong for others. She should have known that informing would eventually get her killed.
I am going with Richie Aprile for #1. I thought his days were numbered, but never thought it would be Janice.
I remember the death of Gigi Cestone was a bit shocking as he died on the toilet 🚽 from a heart attack. At first you think he’s just fighting constipation.
GIGI DIED TAKIN A SHIT
He was fightingor his life in there
Well, if it was good enough for Elvis . . .
I know Janice was nobody's favorite...but she was kinda my favorite. Richie was a fool for thinking he could hit and mock Janice. Good for her 😊
The one death everyone wanted, but nobody got.
I like her too. Sure, she's eccentric and selfish at times, but so is every other character. She arguably has the most positive character arc too, learning not just to stand up for herself, but also really putting in a lot of work to become both a better mother and sister in the later seasons.
@@cupriferouscatalyst3708 True!

And I’d brake for her, too, if she were in front of me.
@@trudykennedy2087 As Lew said in the great movie "Fargo", to his law enforcement partner Margie, "Yaaaaaah, that's a good one." 🙃
Chris' loyalty to the family did not trump his love for Adriana.. it was his love for luxury life... the show makers made this point very clear..
Ralph had it coming for what he did to that girl.
I like more Jimmy Artieri’s whacking. How he gets quoted on anything decent and his expression when he realized he got caught rating.
Most satisfying
1. Ralph Cifaretto
2. Phil Leotardo
3. Richie Aprile
4. Miley Palmice
Ades death was one of the most impactful deaths I’ve ever witnessed in any tv show ever
We didn’t get to Witness it 🤷🏾♂️
I don’t know, Game of Thrones had quite a few.
@@Spencer3712 none of them top Ades
prove that The Sopranos fandom still alive.
the worst (or best) part of the whackings is that usually you wanted the guy to die (like Richie or Ralph), but they don't get whacked for the reasons you really want them to be
I didn't realize that Steven Van Zandt was on "The Sopranos"
Drea de Matteo was my favorite in the cast 💔never saw that death scene coming at all 😪👠
I think the number one death scene should have been when Tony got whacked.
@ 01:00 you should've inserted a bunch of "Munchkins" singing "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead"
Adriana's death was the heaviest for me. i loved her and i really couldn't predict, almost couldn't sleep of sadness when i saw for the first time :(
Tony should have known Carlo would flip when he ratted out Silvio " Sil hit him first " 😂😂
They all meet their makers in the end. Love that show!!
ngl the episode where Janice killed Richie was probably my favorite episode, if not in my top 3
I'll admit, it took me a minute to get the "SVU" reference.
It gets me that Tony told his wife that family was protected after just ordering a hit that got the wrong guy killed and also killed the man's wife.
This show was the GREATEST SHOW ON HBO it set the bar for every HBO show after it
Bobby was the most wholesome character. Definitely deserves to be higher in list
Tony’s death even though it’s not confirmed is probably the best one. It’s so subtle yet not at the same time.
There were a few brutal deaths, but nothing will top Phil's head getting crushed while his wife watched and his grandkids were in the car. And the poor teenagers seeing it as well. One of them puked
Honorable mention on number 7.
The hand ✋ that pushes Richie Aprile to his death 5:40.
I'd never noticed that before. Well spotted.
Such a good video, really good
Bobby got me, broke my heart, he may have been a criminal but he had a heart.

Actually Phils death wasnt painful he died instantly
The car made ran over his face, so he couldn't have an open casket funeral 💋🚬🪦⛏ MAFIA
That was very Entertaining ☺️ thanks.
Bobbys death hit me hardest, if only he had kept his damn phone on him he would of been warned the war wasnt over yet...
Ade better be on this list. She was the heart and soul of the show.
For me its Eugene hanging himself in his basement, whether meant or imagined I felt David Chase portrayed his last moments as being full of regret the way he tries to untie the noose and fights til the end, like I say thats my take on it. Bobbies death was saddest because he was the most decent amongst them all.
