Of course Pine Barrens is always considered the best episode but... I remember watching Employee of the Month for the first time and wow !!! that was intense !! And yes, at the same time you want Dr Melfi to ask Tony to... take care of the rapist, but you also know that it would be inequivocably bad !... I love this complex show.
+Mark D That's what I just thought. Only question: do I watch single episodes or should I binge watch it on the weekend for the xth-time? Fuck it, probably I'll do both!
The White Wolf If Breajing Bad Aired in the same era as The Sopranos did, The Sopranos woukd rape the other shows in each category of Emmy's, thats how good The Sopranos is.
@nPlatin Not me. Three times I tried to get into The Wire because so many said it was so great, and the third time I finally realized why it never appealed to me: too ghetto.
I started watching this series and just couldn't stop! The very best TV series of all times showing the characters in more than one dimension. Which is what most shows about the Mob usually shows.
E NEMIS I started to watch The Sopranos Already knowing that Tony dies with a shot in a restaurant, it doesn't matter to me, just the history matter ahahha
I watched the entire series twice this year. I was missing it after the first watch within a month and watched it all again and just finished it last week. How many times i have watched in total though, well i would say almost 20 times total.
I was assuming 'Pine Barrens' would get the top spot, and it's a great episode, but as far as emotional impact goes, I would have chosen 'Long Term Parking.' Adriana's murder was like a kick in the gut and it cast a shadow over Tony and Christopher for the rest of the series.
James Kennedy I couldn’t agree more. Even though the writing of that episode was amazing I can’t help but wish that Adrianna had made it out like she deserved.
this is the best show ever made, period. the walking dead and game of thrones still cant touch the amazing quality and acting of this show. every single actor in this show fits their role perfect. i've never in my life seen more convincing and believable characters.
As a fan of both BB and The Sopranos, what David Chase and co did was and is still unmatched. It's the quintessential long-story antihero benchmark, BB and Mad Men would not have been possible without the DiMeo family (real life Decavalcante family) from North Jersey.
This was definitely one of the most enjoyable WatchMojo lists, reminded me of the emotional rollercoaster of what was possibly the greatest TV drama I've ever seen. I would have rated Long Term Parking higher 'cause Adrianna's death (and the lead-up) was so instense, I wouldn't have rated the Christopher & Paulie getting lost episode as number one, and my last criticism is that they didn't list the episode in which Christopher goes to Hollywood and makes Sir Ben Kingsley really uncomfortable.
+Dubious Wretch It's Luxury Lounge, I Love that episode too, Lauren Bacall getting punched in the face. The happy wanderer for me, Tony is one nasty bastard in that episode and admit's it's his bread and butter, Also showing how ruthless the mafia is.
Dubious Wretch the affair with Gloria was really enjoyable for me. She's so sexy then she goes ape shit and drives carmela home that one time. Oh so good . Best show ever
In "Kennedy & Heidi", the clarity that Tony embraces at the roulette wheel is very believable. He knew Christopher had the potential to be a loose cannon, and with Adrianna dead, anything detrimental to Tony could happen. At the most unlikely moment, Tony is at peace with his decision. Moments like this are common. I remember feeling relieved after giving away a cd that someone made for me. A lot of bad vibes seemed to leave once the cd was gone.
From where To eternity is for me a pretty much overlooked gem. Chrissy brings the message from hell that sends Tony and Paulie to question the fate of their souls. And the scene Paulie goes to church to complain because his donations are not buying him immunity is so fun.
Chris's death is what blew my mind the most, it just came out of nowhere...all the Emmy's that were won Gandolfini, Falco, Imperioli, De Matteo, they were all so brilliant
I just started to (re)watch the show and it's best show ever. Every episode is well-written and well-acted, and it's impossible to stop watching it. This show should be treasured, it's gold!
Season 2 was The Sopranos’ best season in my opinion. It’s so hard to rank them though. A lot of people say 4 is the worst but I personally think 6A is their weakest season despite it having a strong start with the first 2-3 episodes. Vito’s plot was interesting but was one of the weaker narratives in the show and the overall writing in 6A felt watered down, and it really just fizzled out by the season finale. They recovered in 6B though which is up there when debating the best season in the show.
There wasn't a bad season but I reply to say I thought the show came together in that second year, when Janice, Bobby, and Dr. Kupferberg rounded out the cast of characters.
Breaking Bad is awesome but The Sopranos is WAY more visceral. It has more characters who has more interesting stories, Tony's enemies: Ritchie Aprile, Ralph Cipharetto, Phil Leottardo, his own uncle Jr. etc. Even the secondary characters are genuine like Christopher who was a pain in the ass but a eternal incomfort employee of Tony, just like Paulie who often felt ignored. Even the tertiary characters like Artie as the pathetic childhood friend of Tony (everyone has a friend like that), the man he hang himself in Season 5, Vito's homosexuality that was simply out of the mafia cannons putting Tony in a dilemma. Breaking Bad has a fine set of characters but there a are few really interesting characters like Walt, Jessie, Hank, Skyler, Marie, Gus Fringe, Mike Ermanthraut, Saul Goodman, Salamanca Dinasty but I can't say the same of Gale Botticher, Victor, Steve Gomez even he's my paisa, countryman; Lydia Rodart, the only interesting with her is that she was a facilitator, same with Jessie's two girlfriends, Jane as a rotten apple and Andrea as rotten (drugs). See? Breaking Bad screenplay is excellent, thrilling. The Sopranos has a peculiar formula in every episode: 2 main plots of the progress of the storyline & 2 secondary plots to balance with dark humor or pure entertainment. Both show have the BEST CHARACTER PROFILES but the BEST CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT goes to The Sopranos, we watch Tony's decay, Meadow's independence, Carmela's codependence, Anthony Jr.'s wanna be to philosophy but still in diapers, Christopher hating Tony, every time more, Paulie also with mixed feelings, Furio so disgusted working for him so he flee, Dr. Melfi every time more sceptic about Tony's improvement. In Breaking Bad, the most interesting developments are 3: Walt's breaking bad, every time more obscure, maquiavelic, mastermind. Jesse's highs & lows 'cause his addiction and mixed feelings with Walt; and Skyler's emancipation of Walt's expectations on her, she no longer takes the scam and PUM She fucked Ted. A little conventional affair based in revenge instead of Carmela's affair with AJ's teacher. Even if she mentions Madame Bovary is a boring book and nothing erotic at all, the irony is she is just like Madame Bovary 'cause she questions the action itself, her behavior, her intentions, his intentions, everything is more complex than just spreading her legs. In other episode, Carmela again misinterpret a book when she and Tony are visiting their daughter Meadow. Carmela is so phony that she implies the protagonist of the book she read is not gay, he can't be gay 'cause of her catholic values which are questionable already, the serie often aimed to mirror the hipocrisy of characters. The ending in Breaking Bad is more satisfactory, epic but today is just that, a good previsible ending. The Sopranos ending has been analysed several times until nowadays, more original, different, unexpected, unsettling so you were focused in every detail to have a shred of information that the episode wasn't giving you. Everyone has their theories, Did Tony get whacked? Did he ended his meal peacefully but later did he end up handcuffed? One thing true is that we definitely got whacked!!!
+JamesLinton17 i guess i wasn't paying attention close enough. I remember when it was happening and Sil picked her up, i had NO clue what was about to happen. I had a jaw-drop moment once i finally realized basically at the same time as Adrianna
How the hell did “The Strong, Silent Type” not make the list? Christopher’s intervention is one of the best scenes in the entire series. Also, “From Where to Eternity” when Paulie visits the psychic & throws a chair at the spirits another great episode.
+Daskaar Remember seeing him for the first time in a small role as a hitman in "True Romance". Great film with great actors and some really unforgettable lines and scenes - and even there Gandolfini managed to steal his scene!
brad monaghan Right? I mean everyone has their opinion, but I know nobody that thinks that S4 is the greatest. Most people consider it to be the weakest. Season 3 is the show's best to me (the Pine Barrens episode alone...)
The Test Dream deserve a spot as well, such an amazing episode. also, Employe Of The Month is one of the best ones- shows melfi in a whole different light and the ending is terrific
"Walk Like a Man" would have been on my list. The episode acts as a prelude for Chris's death episode "Kennedy and Heidi". Michael Imperioli at his best giving heartbreaking performance of Chris's downfall as he realizes he's got no support from anyone around. When the episode ends with Los Lobos song, you can easily start to wonder, what kind of people are you surrounded with. Who are your true friends?
I never see anyone talking about “Mayham”. The episode where Tony comes out of his coma. The artistic visualization of purgatory and Meadows voice waking him up makes me cry every time. That and this episode has the funniest moment where Paulie somehow makes Tony have a heartattack while he’s in a coma 💀
I still consider The Sopranos the greatest TV show ever. Nothing has matched its combination of social and psychological investigation, brave and consistent characterization, great acting, fantastic dialogue, ambitious and constantly evolving storytelling, its blend of humor and morose and great production values. Nevermind how the show changed the path of television and influenced almost every acclaimed show that came after it. However, some of this video is a lil off. Like, very few fans think season four is the best. Many think it's the weakest. I like it very much though. Has a lot of re-watch value. But very few consider it the best. Also, the list left a bit to be desired and it's too heavy with late episodes. But the show really does have more good to great episodes than any other series ever. My top ten: 1. Funhouse 2. College 3. Long Term Parking 4. I Dream of Jeannie Cusamano 5. Join the Club 6. The Second Coming 7. Pine Barrens 8. Irregular Around the Margins 9. Sopranos Home Movies 10. Knight in White Satin Armor/From Where to Eternity
Everything you said is correct. Season 1 finale is top 3...so is Long term parking....but Heidi and Kennedy should definitely be top 10...that episode was so eerie and nihilistic, and showed Tony and Christopher for what they were. And Irregular around the Margins was an insanely great episode....can't believe they missed that. The list was too heavy on the late seasons and you're right most ppl consider season 4 one of the weaker seasons....it got a little soap opera ish. 4 and the first half of 6 were the two weakest seasons.....the second half of 6 was excellent though. And yes, the Sopranos was the first great series and basically made the formula for the Breaking Bads and others after it, they had the best writers, and directors in the business.
Just show's you how amazing the Sopranos is. Still discussing the great episodes. Hard to believe it was almost 20 years ago now. Best show ever by far. Changed how we watch television in my opinion.
I watched the entire series over the course of a few months back in 2008. Whenever I'd think about the show over the past few years, the only episode that I'd remember vividly is the one that was selected as number 1 in this list. My wife and I were rolling with laughter watching Paulie and Christopher wander around the woods in the middle of winter. What a great show, a masterpiece even!!
Last episode deserves more love as well. Perfect way to end a perfect series! Don't stop believin... if you're a man.... don't stop being paranoid if you're a wiseguy. My top 10: 1. Long Term Parking - Season 5 2. The Blue Comet - Season 6 3. Pine Barrens - Season 3 4. Made in America - Season 6 5. Whitecaps - Season 4 6. Funhouse - Season 2 7. Whoever Did This - Season 4 8. College - Season 1 9. The Second Coming - Season 6 10. Amour Fou - Season 3
My favorite scene is Chris' intervention. (I think it's in the episode The Strong, Silent Type.) The best "intervention" scene send-up since The Simpsons.
The soprano's isn't "one of the best shows ever" .. it's hands down the best fucking show ever created. Only Game of Thrones comes close ... shows like breaking bad etc are nice .. but The Sopranos is a whole other league.
Yeah, I called #1 before the video even started, and I agree. Every season was great in its own right, but I disagree with those who feel 4 was the best. I've always thought 2 was fantastic. Simply one of the very best shows ever! RIP Mr. Gandolfini, for you left us far too early.
This might be the only WatchMojo list I've seen where everyone is in agreement with what they picked as #1. Pine Barrens was pure gold.. Greatest tv series ever
All great episodes, however it is "All Due Respect" that gets me every time. Because not only it is the most difficult murder ( more of a mercy killing) for Tony to commit, his cousin: Tony Blundetto, to avoid war with Brooklyn. It also has a great speech from Soprano to his Soldiers & Captains @ Vesuvio about the DiMeo family risky position to New York. I also really love the separate scenes with either Silvio and Paulie. The former gives him his 2-cents , although Silvio reminds him that he knows him well enough to know that ultimately he won't "bow down" to "authority", and with Paulie we see how much his Capo not only admires him, that semi-comical scene with the painting in which Tony sees a portrait of him and the horse Pie-O-My , leading Tony to think Paulie save it from the flames to piss him off, but it ultimately reminds him what a "General" must do as he trashes it. The meeting @Johnny Sack house securing peace with the factions, and immediately after, the FBI arrest of Sacrimoni; prompting Tony to a foot escape to home all are one of a kind for the show scenes.
That was a great episode.. The way Tony stared at that painting showed how complex and vulnerable his character was.. I also loved "Knight in white satin armor" The argument between Janice and Richie Aprile about his sons ball room dancing leading to Janice stating "so what if he's gay?" then Richie quickly punched her in the mouth and asks her if she is going to cry. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned is an understatement.
+Ian Lcokwood Breaking Bad is several levels under the Sopranos. The Sopranos and The Wire are by far the two best shows of all time. Mad Men a close 3rd place. I didn't watch Game of Thrones tho, but many people glorify it.
Ian Lcokwood I did, It's actually overrated. Top 10 shows all time for sure, maybe even top 6, top 5, but not more than that. Sopranos is another level.
I miss the Sopranos. R.I.P James Gandolfini. The "Pine Barrens" was my favorite episode. I always thought that the Russian guy survived the bungled job by Chris and Paulie and he was going to come back for revenge leaving him in the New Jersey forest to die in later episodes.
Absolutely nailed #1. Pine Barrens is the best episode. The best joke is when Paulie is talking about the Cuban Missile Crisis. Chris says "That was real? I saw that movie & thought it was all bullshit."
Absolutely. The scene at the end where Janice asks Tony "what'd you do with him?", and he tells her we "buried him in the woods, by a stream, with pine cones all around" and has her believing him for a moment was pure gold.
"Pine Barrens" is definitely the best episode of the series but I would have put "College" at No. 2. It was the first Sopranos episode I saw and it was the one that broke the mold of the TV drama series going forward. Without the Sopranos, there would be no "Dexter," "Mad Men" or "Breaking Bad." Thank you David Chase for writing such ground-breaking characters!
How can the best episode of the most groundbreaking drama show ever be a comic relief episode. I love Pine Barrens but it’s overrated as hell, it doesn’t represent the greatness of the Sopranos at all
Paulie: "The guy was an interior decorator"
Chris: "His house looked like shit"

The Sopranos... A revolutionary show that set a high bar for TV. Phenomenal writing and possibly the most watchable cast of all time.
Best series ever. Sopranos was the pinnacle of the television. Nothing like this will ever happen again. RIP James, we miss you Tony.
Ever watched Kennedy and heidi
My favorite episode is long term parking
This might just be the best tv series of all time.
Might? Haha ;)
I think that I'll have to pull out those DVDs and rewatch!
+Mark D That's what I just thought. Only question: do I watch single episodes or should I binge watch it on the weekend for the xth-time? Fuck it, probably I'll do both!
False bud. Breaking Bad is number 1.
The White Wolf If Breajing Bad Aired in the same era as The Sopranos did, The Sopranos woukd rape the other shows in each category of Emmy's, thats how good The Sopranos is.
Best show of all time! R.I.P James Gandolfini
Flávio Lima agreed !
nPlatin stop
The Wire
This and the wire
@nPlatin Not me. Three times I tried to get into The Wire because so many said it was so great, and the third time I finally realized why it never appealed to me: too ghetto.
I started watching this series and just couldn't stop! The very best TV series of all times showing the characters in more than one dimension. Which is what most shows about the Mob usually shows.
1. Pine Barrens
Never laughed so hard in my life
His house looked like shit
this video has me wanting to watch the entire series again. Amazing show.
+D N A Vapes im onm the second season, and this is amazing!
+Canal Lucas Guitar dont watch 14:50
E NEMIS I started to watch The Sopranos Already knowing that Tony dies with a shot in a restaurant, it doesn't matter to me, just the history matter ahahha
I watched the entire series twice this year. I was missing it after the first watch within a month and watched it all again and just finished it last week. How many times i have watched in total though, well i would say almost 20 times total.
@@lucascamposhs but how do you know if he died?
I was assuming 'Pine Barrens' would get the top spot, and it's a great episode, but as far as emotional impact goes, I would have chosen 'Long Term Parking.' Adriana's murder was like a kick in the gut and it cast a shadow over Tony and Christopher for the rest of the series.
Chris' murder was worse for me personally
+mk6rfc1 Yeah, that was rough too.
@ROBERT DEAN I've watched plenty of this "best episodes" lists and I always wondered why "All Due Respect" never makes a spot.
For me the best is Whitecaps, the acting of James Gandofini and Edie Falco are awesome
James Kennedy I couldn’t agree more. Even though the writing of that episode was amazing I can’t help but wish that Adrianna had made it out like she deserved.
By far the best tv show ever I have watch the series multiple times and it never gets old always feels fresh and heartbreaking
Its not the best, its one of them,Breaking bad is superior
@@ryanwilliams4223 I just threw up in my mouth
@@ryanwilliams4223 superior? HAHA
I can't think of another TV series where it was perfect casting, everyone. It slotted into place perfectly. The best.
The family dynamic between carm and Tony was the best written and acted part of the show.
The Sopranos is the best TV show ever, and #1 really is the best TV episode in any series ever. RIP James Gandolfini.
this is the best show ever made, period. the walking dead and game of thrones still cant touch the amazing quality and acting of this show. every single actor in this show fits their role perfect. i've never in my life seen more convincing and believable characters.
You clearly haven't seen breaking bad
T H E W I R E
As a fan of both BB and The Sopranos, what David Chase and co did was and is still unmatched. It's the quintessential long-story antihero benchmark, BB and Mad Men would not have been possible without the DiMeo family (real life Decavalcante family) from North Jersey.
@@anthonys9743 breaking bad is not as good as the sopranos. Its good but sopranos is another level
This was definitely one of the most enjoyable WatchMojo lists, reminded me of the emotional rollercoaster of what was possibly the greatest TV drama I've ever seen. I would have rated Long Term Parking higher 'cause Adrianna's death (and the lead-up) was so instense, I wouldn't have rated the Christopher & Paulie getting lost episode as number one, and my last criticism is that they didn't list the episode in which Christopher goes to Hollywood and makes Sir Ben Kingsley really uncomfortable.
you got it down......
Law & Order SUV.
In "Kennedy & Heidi", the clarity that Tony
embraces at the roulette wheel is very believable. He knew Christopher had the
potential to be a loose cannon, and with Adrianna dead, anything detrimental to
Tony could happen. At the most unlikely moment, Tony is at peace with his
decision. Moments like this are common. I remember feeling relieved after
giving away a cd that someone made for me. A lot of bad vibes seemed to leave
once the cd was gone.
I think I've seen the whole thing atleast 5 times. Probably the best HBO show, maybe best show anywhere.
ALL OF THE EPISODES WERE GREAT!! and finally a good list from WM
+Jairo Morales Except for "Christopher" (S4, E3), that episode was kind of lame.
James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano is one of the best portrayals in TV history, along with Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan
@@jimlaregina To me, the first 3 seasons scored an A+ grade and the last 3 seasons scored an A- grade. But this show was off the charts great!
I'm just here to see if Pine Barrens is first.

Long Term Parking should be number one. It was so good and emotional. Great acting!!
Definitely one of the best, plus the New York battle side plot set up was great too.
Christopher,Paulie & Junior were hilarious!
My favorite characters behind tony
The sopranos is the best show ever!
Breaking Bad is better, people hate to admit it because sopranos was the top dog, then breaking bad came along and quite simply was superior to it
Breaking Bad is awesome but The Sopranos is WAY more visceral.
Ryan Williams Breaking Bad is sooooooo overrated
Oh poor Adrianna. I felt so bad at her. Even though I saw her death coming, it still shocked me.
+JamesLinton17 i guess i wasn't paying attention close enough. I remember when it was happening and Sil picked her up, i had NO clue what was about to happen. I had a jaw-drop moment once i finally realized basically at the same time as Adrianna
i remember seeing that as well, i saw it coming also most ppl it flew over their heads
gay
Well her an Christopher wud have both lived if they ran
JamesLinton17 She knew what she was involved with.
The acting in white caps, the fight, was out of this world! Falco was brilliant, u really believed how sad and angry she was
How the hell did “The Strong, Silent Type” not make the list? Christopher’s intervention is one of the best scenes in the entire series. Also, “From Where to Eternity” when Paulie visits the psychic & throws a chair at the spirits another great episode.
list makes me miss gandolfini so much
He fulfilled his life purpose
+Daskaar Remember seeing him for the first time in a small role as a hitman in "True Romance". Great film with great actors and some really unforgettable lines and scenes - and even there Gandolfini managed to steal his scene!
Ever see the movie Angie with Geena Davis? It came out in 1994 and James played her boyfriend plus Aida Turturro played her best friend.
Almost nobody considers Season 4 to be the best season of the show.
+Mobley Hernandez Because it wasn't
+Mobley Hernandez That is failmojo just making shit up. The are con artists.
brad monaghan Right? I mean everyone has their opinion, but I know nobody that thinks that S4 is the greatest. Most people consider it to be the weakest. Season 3 is the show's best to me (the Pine Barrens episode alone...)
+Mobley Hernandez yup
Critics do, just not fans.
my favorite television series of all time
My favourite episode was when Pauly and Christopher were stuck in the woods . I laughed so hard I was crying . They were so funny . 😂😂😂😂😂
Definitely
The Test Dream deserve a spot as well, such an amazing episode.
also, Employe Of The Month is one of the best ones- shows melfi in a whole different light and the ending is terrific
"Spoiler-Alert"?....how?...who hasn't watched EVERY episode of the Sopranos.....numerous times...LMAO
I didn't
There's a lot assholes out there...
I’m currently rewatching the series for probably the 10th time😂
Ikr
I finished it today for the first time, watched them all in under 3 weeks
"Walk Like a Man" would have been on my list. The episode acts as a prelude for Chris's death episode "Kennedy and Heidi". Michael Imperioli at his best giving heartbreaking performance of Chris's downfall as he realizes he's got no support from anyone around. When the episode ends with Los Lobos song, you can easily start to wonder, what kind of people are you surrounded with. Who are your true friends?
Agree! Without a doubt one of the most powerful episodes.
Best series so far in my opinion. I can watch this show countless times over and over and never get bored. Love it!
Necro Mesmerownz - right? Always notice something new every time I watch it.
I 100% agree. Pine Barrens is my #1 favorite episode of the series as well.
Like what? Breaking bad? GTFO.
John Johnson hl
The Sopranos>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Every other show on HBO
@Drake what with Oz?
*every other show
Just show's you how amazing the Sopranos is. Still discussing the great episodes. Hard to believe it was almost 20 years ago now. Best show ever by far. Changed how we watch television in my opinion.
I like the one where Phil Leotardo turns into a house. “Get the fuck off my stoop” will always have me rolling
Greatest series to ever bless a tb screen
Tv
+t0mmyt3llam god I hope you haven't contracted TB !! just teasing you m8!! Yes in agreement fully one of the best series ever !!
You’re beyond a fuckin moron if you don’t think it is
What the fuck is a tb screen?
Scott Jolly being screened for tuberculosis. Mookie up there has it
the acting was too good in this show. it is very uncomfortably realistic man. incredible work
GREATEST SHOW OF ALL TIME PERIOD!!!
Last episode deserves more love as well. Perfect way to end a perfect series! Don't stop believin... if you're a man.... don't stop being paranoid if you're a wiseguy.
My top 10:
1. Long Term Parking - Season 5
2. The Blue Comet - Season 6
3. Pine Barrens - Season 3
4. Made in America - Season 6
5. Whitecaps - Season 4
6. Funhouse - Season 2
7. Whoever Did This - Season 4
8. College - Season 1
9. The Second Coming - Season 6
10. Amour Fou - Season 3
My favorite scene is Chris' intervention. (I think it's in the episode The Strong, Silent Type.) The best "intervention" scene send-up since The Simpsons.
Long Term Parking was amazing.
That ending with Tony starring into the woods is brilliant
definitely, the best episode by miles
I've been waiting for this list... for all my life. Oh Lord.
Kevin Kennedy - oh Lord...
Huh. I'm watching the Sopranos now. How convenient.
Every god damn time I re-watch Sopranos, I gain 10 pounds. All that great Italian food just too hard to resist. Especially when they are eating .
interior decorator lmao kills me every time
Pine Barrens definitely #1! So damn funny.
+Horzzo put remote on docking station!
Mine was whoever did this...also irregular around the margins was great
The soprano's isn't "one of the best shows ever" .. it's hands down the best fucking show ever created. Only Game of Thrones comes close ... shows like breaking bad etc are nice .. but The Sopranos is a whole other league.
+3choBlast3r I thought Boardwalk Empire was just as good as Sopranos maybe even better , same writers too .
Dougs World No.. Boardwalk did come close, esp in later seasons it just kept getting better. But sopranos still easily tops that for me.
+3choBlast3r I love the Sopranos more, but I think that The Wire is better.
The Wire. Six Feet under is close in terms of nailing the family drama aspect.
Game of Thrones is over rated shit. Rome was great
Yeah, I called #1 before the video even started, and I agree. Every season was great in its own right, but I disagree with those who feel 4 was the best. I've always thought 2 was fantastic. Simply one of the very best shows ever! RIP Mr. Gandolfini, for you left us far too early.
One of the best shows ever. It was perfect from the stories to the acting. Loved it.
"Whoever did this" has my favorite scene when Chris comes high af to help Tony with Ralph lmao!! "I diidaaan't!"
I've been waiting for this episode for so long!!!! Thanks ya pricks!!
I just watched Kennedy and Heidi, wow, the performances are mind blowing and the build up to the chapter was also exquisit, what a great show.
This show was pure gold. A 100% guilty pleasure.
This show and breaking bad are the fucking best things ever
Indeed.. Mad men is pretty good too.
+Derekxs true
+Ian Lcokwood Breaking Bad is several levels under the Sopranos. The Sopranos and The Wire are by far the two best shows of all time. Mad Men a close 3rd place. I didn't watch Game of Thrones tho, but many people glorify it.
+Marko Markovic I'm guessing you haven't watched all of breaking bad
Ian Lcokwood I did, It's actually overrated. Top 10 shows all time for sure, maybe even top 6, top 5, but not more than that. Sopranos is another level.
I miss the Sopranos. R.I.P James Gandolfini. The "Pine Barrens" was my favorite episode. I always thought that the Russian guy survived the bungled job by Chris and Paulie and he was going to come back for revenge leaving him in the New Jersey forest to die in later episodes.
there were no best episodes , they were all f$%%ing good
Employee of the month should’ve made the list. What an episode that is.
Absolutely nailed #1. Pine Barrens is the best episode. The best joke is when Paulie is talking about the Cuban Missile Crisis. Chris says "That was real? I saw that movie & thought it was all bullshit."
I watch this show at least once a year, fucking epic.
When you already know which will be the number one episode and feels emocional seeing how much James Gandolfini grow old through the series.
Should have included "Knights in White Satin Armor" the episode where Janice killed Richie Aprile. #classic shit.
fully agreed
Absolutely. The scene at the end where Janice asks Tony "what'd you do with him?", and he tells her we "buried him in the woods, by a stream, with pine cones all around" and has her believing him for a moment was pure gold.
What a great list! The number one is right on the money! Nicely done!
God I binged this show a while ago and it’s one of my favorite shows of all time. Rest In Peace James.
