The video mentions the nature of it, specifically Matthew crying out for his mother before getting shot. Then you have Tony at the mall the next day and some 5-year old kid is calling his mother. P.S. it is harder to watch in 2024 for me because I think of George Floyd calling for his mother before he was killed.
it's tough to watch because he was a young kid who saw Tony as a hero and wanted to prove himself to Tony. And he was indifferent at best to Tony. It's sad because you realize immediately how empty his destiny was and demonstrated Tony's narcissism
It was a multitude of reasons. Chrissy was a lose canon. Drug abusing liability and the baby seat detail pushed Tony over the edge. Perfect opportunity to make his life a little easier.
By the end of the show tony hates Chris because like Carm Chris began to see Tony for what he really was, it's why Tony put him down after he got clean Tony had to drag him down Chris was on track to be what Tony wanted him to be but in Tony's sick mind that made him better then him and he had to to drag him back down

Tony was killed corleone-style ('members only' guy sitting on a stool at the counter goes n grabs a gat from the diner restroom). The last sight he sees is his family before him (meadow comes through the diner door with the motif of the bell ringing once [and then never] more). This is exemplary as to why this show is still the best thing to come out of TV so far. It's gonna be tough for any other series to ever top The Sopranos.
Check out the Wire. The movie experts say The Wire and Sopranos were the best shows during that time. However, the writing on the Wire was outstanding, and they received several awards for that part.
I know Joe Pantoliano's Ralph Cifaretto was an evil degenerate, but he was pretty damn memorable during his run. Even in the episode where he died, I like the built-up tension between him and Tony up until he killed him.
Why put such a massive spoiler in the thumbnail? The show may be 25 years old, but it’s such a big one, that a thing like this really hurts the experience.

Other than the revelation that Junior was responsible for Dickie's death, but even then, it didn't necessarily rewrite anything about the original story. The scene where Tony tells Christopher that Haydu killed his father was always seen as suspicious/untrue, so I'm not sure what you mean. Maybe I'm missing something, as I did only watch TMSON one time, and it was when it first released, so if I'm missing something please let me know. Christopher made me the saddest, he was always one of my favorite characters and to see him nodding out to “comfortably numb”, and then once they’ve crashed, it takes Tony a moment to get his bearings, before making the decision to finish him off, knowing that his heroin addiction was a liability to the family 😢 That, followed by Bobby’s killing in the train shop, who was just trying to buy some models for his train set, and even worse, Vito, who essentially got killed because of his sexual preference/lack of caution about being seen in public/specifically in a gay bar…
Ralph's death was one of my favorite scenes, seeing Tony's vengeance after Pie-O-My. Though the one that shocked me the most was Christopher's, because at first I didn't see his daughter's seat.
I thought Tony killed Christopher because the broken car seat revealed Christopher's secret stash of heroin. Tony knew Christopher had to go because: 1. that is how the FBI got Big Puss to flip using a long jail sentence for drugs played against his family 2. Tony warned Christopher to get off the drugs or Christopher will meet his demise and 3. Christopher directly disobeyed Tony's orders by relapsing. All 3 things threatened Tony's very survival.

The one thing that I can truly remember about this series, other than how amazing it was, how in the end there was not a single person that you could truly root for. Adriana is the only one that hard to watch go. Every character in the show had so many faults. So many gangster shows glamorize these guys. This is the first show that actually showed them for what they were…lowlife psychopaths that would sell each other out in a second for a few extra dollars.
In the Soprano world, Ralph Ciffaretto's death is the most controversial and argued... he was an ahole that needed to die, but did he kill Pie O'My that enraged Tony into killing him? Hmmm🤔 The best "death" (and dark humor award) is Phil Leotardo... when his head is run over (krunch), and that kid thows up, and the old man yells "Oh, shit!" I didn't know whether to be horrified or laugh (I laughed)
Honestly, aside from that poor girl they got beat into a bloody pole because her man who I’m suggesting was probably already married didn’t wanna have the unborn child with her. It’s very very heartbreaking. I must say out of all the women I’ve heard of on this show I feel like Adriana was always the prettiest one out of the group, come on. She’s a good looking thing shouldn’t have gotten down like that. She did the right thing her and her man, even if it did come out a heavy price there’s always a price for love you know and I’m sorry she had to pay you. Maybe she and Chris meet up together in the afterlife you never know.

Honestly, aside from that poor girl they got beat into a bloody pole because her man who I’m suggesting was probably already married didn’t wanna have the unborn child with her. It’s very very heartbreaking. I must say out of all the women I’ve heard of on this show I feel like Adriana was always the prettiest one out of the group, come on. She’s a good looking thing shouldn’t have gotten down like that. She did the right thing her and her man, even if it did come out a heavy price there’s always a price for love you know and I’m sorry she had to pay you. Maybe she and Chris meet up together in the afterlife you never know.
