Back in 2007, there were absolutely no UA-cam tutorials on FL Studio so that's what my generation of producers did lol. Very few people could figure out how to make deadmau5's synths.
I'm so glad for this. It makes learning the new generation of Electronica that much easier. It seems as though a lot of these tracks nowadays love using Dorian chords.

Beautiful sound, thank you for showing how to make it. Just bought Serum this weekend and think it is so intuitive (it beats the likes of sylenth and hive on the accessibility front), the amount of information it conveys in such a small piece of screen is amazing, like the envelope overlay is genius. Love the lfo on the fine tuning with this sound for that oscillator drift. Anyone who says serum sounds too digital should watch this video.

Hey guys, took a lot of time out from making videos for a while for a variety of personal & professional reasons which I will explain in my next video. Yesterday I finished my new website so it no longer looks like it was made in MS Paint :) I've also finished and uploaded a new 'Future' pack that you guys might be interested in: synthhacker.com/
Thanks for the continued support and yes there's gonna be tonnes of new content this year!

Nice job, great tutorial. The Flume patch is more of a sine wavey, pianet type sound with perhaps slightly more pronounced pitch modulations. Your patch is a bit more brassy sounding, perhaps because of the Bend to the sine wave. Good stuff, thanks.

I've a suggestion for another synth tutorial (It's Flume again haha too damn good)

Great video - thank you. I had one question. I'm sure I'll figure it out but I'm off to bed and it would save me a lot of time if you could just tell me :p
At 8:06, when you click on the tremolo effect, you do something to make the level go on both sides of the dial, what did you press?
    Please let me know!
    Thanks :)

    • @hunterdavis2687

"Keys" play chords and maintain the rhythm of a track while a lead usually just plays a melody over top of the chords.

I want to learn how to recreate complex sounds instead of just trying things out until I hit on something that sounds good. Is that an unrealistic goal? If you hear a complex sound and noone tells you anything about it, are you able to recreate it FROM SCRATCH? If so, I would love to watch that. It would be so helpful.
