I would love to see more videos like these just giving general creative ideas, these are all helpful tips and i often feel demotivated to get back to producing, these ideas help me think of how to improve my sound. Thanks!
I'm honestly so glad for finding this gem of creativity, thank you so much for the straightforwardness and simplicity of technique. This'll help me lots during my journey
LOVE THESE TIPS!!!!something i do is isolate a frequency from a noise/ambience track using band pass filter with q at max, tune the frequency to a key using pro q 3 keyboard and then automate that frequency to match the melody
I thought I knew how to do layering but this man showed me a deeper level of layering. Something more simple but ten times more effective and a hundred times better sounding. Friggin brilliant video 10/10 and subbed
11: different chord voicings (wide, inversions, omitted notes - we hear too many close triads). 12: panning layers to different positions in the stereo spread. 13: when using polyphonic splitting, apply pitch bend to some-but-not all notes. 14: distortion, - especially on tracks with "one and sometimes two" simultaneous notes - especially effective if one note has pitch bend, but not the other. 15: when vocoding - speed up / slow down vocal before applying vocoder effect, so formants more alien sounding
Thank you. I found 2 techniques in this video which I am planning to use soon :) Rest all went above my head for now, but I will try to come back to them soon.
Very good tricks. Granular is always welcome, also Wavefolding as a trick on any simple waveform. Perhaps you can also make a video about synth matrix (Envelopes + LFO’s + virtual patching, etc) I don’t think they are many of those around and some synths are coming up with a lot of ruting options to do creative sound design. I think this could be a task right up your alley. You gain a new subscriber +1UP
Ever thought of releasing a midi chord progressions pack with Soul/RnB chords like these? That would be awesome so we could use them alongside your presets!
Hey, could you possibly explain the setup of the vocoder trigger and what each layer is doing? I can’t quite get it from the example in the video. Thank you!!
Fun stuff. I, too am particularly fond of PM synthesis. I like it out front, layered or not some times. I like noise (i was in a duo called 60 Cycle Hum for eleven years), did a lot with hardware, built a few Noise modules for my homebuilt modular, and have a maha folder of "noise" files from space, field recs, radio, tv, and strange trancducer experiments (my own and other generous weidos). Strangely, ihaven't been doing much with it in the last few years but your vid inspired me to "go make some noise" ;-}
*My favorite youtuber is back with yet another great video, do u also have a music channel where u post music i m curious to hear what u create, ur preset demos sounds like parts of songs tbh*
Cool vid... I play DAWless, but I can see some ways to do this with MIDI and/or Eurorack. That last example is one of the reasons I plan to get the NiftyKeys and create a polyphonic synth out of multiple monophonic VCOs... Anyway, def gave me some inspiration for experimentation. Thank you!

Good video dude! My favorite one is the keytracked noise, never thought about this!
Appreciate that man, it’s a super fun one to play around with!
hi oversampled
Whattup
Same!!
Also if you have MISHBY it has a noise slider built in and might be the most intense plugin you can play with only just white noise 😅
Call and response blew my mind. So simple but adds so much
I'd like to see more granular stuff on the channel, especially using Quanta
aka the IMANU machine
I second the request for granular synthesis stuff!
@@xX_dash_Xx Was just gonna comment something similar :D
yes, with Quanta!!!
Personally I'd like for him to start doing fm synthesis
My new homework assignment
I'm honestly so glad for finding this gem of creativity, thank you so much for the straightforwardness and simplicity of technique. This'll help me lots during my journey
great synth concepts and also really tasty harmony in your examples! They all have at least one great unexpected change.
Often come back to watch this video when I'm out of ideas for a production! Thanks for putting it together! 👾
Polyphonic Splitting was my favorite!!
Love this! So simple but so effective. Thank you 🙏

Wow, unexpectedly brilliant and inspiring video, i can't thank you enough!
Breaking up triads and sending to different instruments, I must try that.
dude that synth at the end was FILTHYYY

damn every one of these is GENIUS
your channel is the gold standard synthesis education
something i like doing is using things like resampling + time stretching as synth, or adding a pitch shifter and automating the formant
Thank you. I found 2 techniques in this video which I am planning to use soon :) Rest all went above my head for now, but I will try to come back to them soon.
Polyphonic splitting is something I do with my Ambience and Pads
Absolutely brilliant and well demonstrated. I’ll be sharing this with my midi class.
