    I love the Avaritia lead! The funny thing is that Deadmau5 probably used a bunch of expensive modular hardware while you just used a softsynth. To be fair the sound is not that complicated.

      ***** I know but Avaritia is from May 2013.

      +Charles McIntosh Its not a bad guess to say that he might have used Serum, given that he's best friends with Steve Duda for sure. Either way, hopefully this gives a good idea as to how you could achieve a similar result.

      ***** On my Beatport Deadmau5 has the most releases but I only like 5% of them.

      Deadmau5 regularly uses VSTs. He does prefer analogue gear, but I think he has even said that digital has come so far it hardly even matters anymore.
      Especially in a mix. It really doesn't matter if you can tell the difference with isolated channels.

    So first off thank you VERY much!! I've been wanting to make this lead forever LoL. But I have a question, the notes you played the lead on are in the key of C Major, so is the song in the key of C Major? Or did you just use the relative major and the song is in A Minor??? I'm really confused because everywhere on the internet says "Avaritia" is in the key of D Major, but that can't be! And some places say E Major but that makes even less sense lol. So please help, is the song in C Major or what???

    • @riccardodellorto4267
      @riccardodellorto4267 8 років тому

      i see the notes and they are from a C maj scale that is equal to the A minor (or maybe not?). perhaps you checked out the wrong "avaritia" which is similar to the "terrors in my head" piano part, but it is only an hypothesis

    • @KQY614
      @KQY614 8 років тому +1

      Riccardo Dell'Orto You are right, C Major and A Minor use the exact same notes. A minors relative major is C Major, meaning they use the exact same notes. So now that I've clarified that, I feel there is a possibility that I was given the results for an older version of "Avaritia" or a different song like you said "Terrors In My Head". But I'm not looking up any of the piano notes on a video, what I did was go to a certain site like "Beatport" that tells me the key, bpm, and signature of a song, and "Beatport" gave me this "Avaritia". I don't trust Beatport for reliable song key info but it usually gives me correct info. But anyways, I'm assuming its A Minor
