Large-format and very challenging model kit of the Firebird, Pontiac’s pony car. The second generation of this beloved sports car came out in 1970 and stayed in production for 11 years. In 1979, the grill was redesigned yet again, and each pair of headlights was now separated by a plastic divider. The 1979 Firebird became the best-selling model in the whole series. The top model was the Trans Am. It became known as the most popular version, thanks, in part, to its appearances in various films.

Great looking kit but 1979 transit is correct for smokey and the bandit 2 1980 film
I have been looking at part 1 thanks for pointing it out to me ill see how part 2 and 3 looks then i wont need to do alot of modification hopefully

I bought his version. Reduced from £140, to £114. Then annoyingly less than a year later, the original Monogram one came up for sale for £300. Its the version I had as a kid in the early 90's. So I bought that to. Luckily though, the £300 monogram version also had some extras thrown in. The seller included the hood, decals and wheels for the 80 Turbo. (just not the engine bits). So I'm going to convert the revell re-issue into the 80 Turbo.

Why didnt Revell include the 77/78 nose and rear in the kit. Not much has to be changed. Would have been perfect!
Tell me about it. The good news is we have designed the front and rear bumpers to the 77 model

Thanks i appreciate it unfortunately the wheels come chrome it needs to be painted but i have redesigned them if you would like to our facebook group you can see them there along with a few others modification

@@MrFusionDesigns cheers mate Much appreciated! i had the monogram Kit 1/8 years back (1980) and it showed the ones on the revell box but i got the naff chrome plated slotted turbine ones (almost like the Dull aluminium uk ford granada ghia alloys) thing about a purchase of this Car .. and customising it with led lighting provided the back taillight panel is clear? but I still have a 1/16 king tiger to build 2000 parts I got it as a present.. MM? sell it i think!..

Hi i primed them so there looking better i have tontry and 3d scan them and if they come out nice i will try and offer them to you all
