I like them but they were going a bit too fast for me, the cuts really speed up the feel of the game and I felt like I was getting whiplash at some points
I think they would be good overall and I appreciate them taking the time to try it, I feel like they're either needs to be fewer shots or we need to sit on them longer

@@PlaytoWinMTG overall the camera quality went up! Really nice progress. I just have one thing to point out that you may consider. I thing it would be more natural to rotate table camera 180° so that the face camera is sitting on left side of the table. Just feels more natural to have thing go from left to right, same as reading and stuff. But thats only my opinion. Keep up the great work.
Here to champion the addition of face cameras, but also to boost tthe above statement. The players in the “top quadrants” of the over head shot should be Camera Left (left side of the frame) when we see players faces. Love the show and am so excited to see more videos! Go Cam !

I'd arguably say the gold standard for EDH content. Super easy to follow, minimal background noise, some, but not an excessive amount, of table talk, quick pace. Everything I want in EDH content. Top notch every week.
I think that what gave Tyler the edge was that he understood they were playing regular commander once the combos were hindered.
Mox diamond is no longer an etb trigger, this was changed shortly after it was released. If you see the FTV version it has the proper oracle text printed
Respect to the additional editing for the face cam angles, kudo to all the thought and effort that goes into every video you put out. your editor(s) along with yourselves keep the quality high and enjoyable without fail
Missing lethal combat damage looking for a combo is a very commander play 😅
Blocking 2 goblins is never a spite play there, surely. Optimal play is always to block and then let attacker (and other players) decide if they want to do anything with priority before passing.
Love how personal the face cams make the game feel. When you all were cheering on Christian when he was going off with Sun Titan was a good example of that. Also Tyler looking good with da collared shirt 👌
alright, yes, Elesh Norn doubles all ETB triggers. You ended up naming the incorrect mana rock, Mox Diamond is not an ETB trigger as it says "as it enters." Chrome Mox on the other hand, Imprinting is an ETB trigger, so you can double Imprint on the Chrome Mox if you wish.
EDIT: you guys did end up naming Chrome Mox for this point almost immediately after.
I had to look up the oracle text and you are absolutely right. Just a matter of reading the card sadly not explaining the card.
@@TheTLProductions12it’s one of those old artifacts that had to be erratad after a rules change, if I remember right you used to not be able to respond to etb effects so they changed it to a replacement effect for entering

Mox Diamond at 7:03 Actually is not a Triggered Ability. Its a replacement effect for when it enters. If Mox Diamond was a triggered ability, you could always tap it before it sacrificed itself to get mana and basically treat it like a Lotus Petal.
Mox Diamond's not an ETB, not if you look at the Oracle text instead of the wording on the original Stronghold edition...

By no means did this feel like an CEDH game. This very casual from beginning to end. Seeing so many Sun Titan triggers gave me 2017 feelings all over again.

Even if these aren't the strongest cedh commanders ever, this was a pretty cool episode! I do think there's some missed potential with Kethek, Crucible Goliath, that might be worth looking into!

Good game! I plan to make Atraxa food chain because it seems fun! Also, it seems like this set isn't too much of a cedh set. Also, side note: I love the Lock mask on the door from Nightmare before Christmas!

Love the new face-cams. I never knew I wanted it as a part of the video. Also nice touch on the mics. Now it all makes sense how Tyler can talk this very calm voice.

I really enjoyed this game, even though it did feel more like high power EDH than cEDH. Personnally, i found it still as much interesting to watch, seeing new cards and seeing your take on the new commanders.
Maybe i came for cEDH and stayed for the host 🤷♂🤔👀

Lure! Yasssss! First MtG deck ever was Llanowar Elves, Lure, Cockatrice, Thicket Basilisk, Regeneration, and Venom. Probably some Circles of Protection for my buddies, too, as we only played mono decks back then.

Great video! The sudden cuts to face cams made me feel a bit woozy after a while. It might be the sudden shift in brightness between the play mats and the white walls? I've never had this issue with the asides you guys do to explain/comment on things (like at 2:11). Also, Mox Diamond was changed so it is not an ETB.
Mox diamond does not have a triggered ability. So it does not have an interaction with Elesh.
Cam: "I need to get in..." *looks around the board* ... "Fuck"
Comedy gold. This was in no way a 'normal' CEDH game but it was super entertaining regardless. You guys rule.

Yo, the camera angles are suuuch a welcome improvement. Always on the up and up. love to see it. An idea I've always wanted to see on commander gameplay content is hand cameras or sidebars of some kind, showing the cards in a players hand during their turn. No idea how you would implement this, but this could be something you do that no other content does :)
This was a weird one. Would like to see another game with this pod. Like to see what could happen if someone tries to combo off.

Really like the new set up. The game was also very interesting. My play group is overselling the new Elesh and I am convinced it’s going to be a pretty meh deck. This was a good showing of it though! 🎉
Probably Elesh is quite strong. The matchup here is horrible. Double Glissa are too much for Elesh player to handle. Deathtouch, destroy enchantment. The nightmare just doesn't stop.

@3:50, when Tyler casts a Phantasmal Image, the ETB won’t trigger since Elesh Norn is in play. No worries, Magic is hard!
Phantasmal image is not an etb, it is an effect "as" it enters the battlefield not "when," otherwise it would die immediately as a state based action every time since it is a base 0/0.

Hi Dylan and Cam, I love the content. I don't know if you considered all the new legends but next phyrexia all will be one gameplay I would love to see Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant as a commander. I would love to see a cEDH spin on this deck because I think it has a lot of potential. Im brewing it myself and I think there's a lot you can do with it

Hi there. I love your content, your energy and your chemistry. Also I don't want to be THAT guy but for me the face cams were a bit distracting but from what I see in the comments, people are loving them so it must be a good move. On the other hand I am sure I can get used to them and it's really cool I can see who is playing especially when you bring in new guests.

I'm a huge fan of the new cameras! The gameplay looks great, and I've genuinely always had a curiosity about what kind of face to put to Tyler's voice lol I don't know if he'd shown up in any shots before or not, but it's cool to see you all playing like this.
I think this is a great example of playing to win ;) without needing to be class S hyper cedh. It may not be "cedh" but it is more interesting to me.

At 12mins when the On Thin Ice was destroyed Cams Glissa should of returned to play from the command zone.
This is because exile effects worded like On Thin Ice keep track of where the card it exiles goes and will attempt to pull it back when it is removed.
Notably this does not work for exile effects worded like fiend hunter where the return is a new trigger.
It also does not work if the commander gets recast before the enchantment is removed cause then the game treats it as a new object.
These face cams freaking rock. Literally my fave mtg channel.

7:00 (ish) I think you're wrong. Mox Diamond is a replacement effect when it WOULD enter, NOT a trigger when it DOES enter. So Christian should only discard 1 land, not 2.
I'm not a judge, but I'm 90% sure that's how that works
I think someone else put it in here but mox diamond is an if it would enter the battlefield effect not a when it enters the battlefield effect so new norn doesn’t have any effect on the trigger. also your reading of chrome mox is accurate as it is a may ability
Like others, nice use of facecams, only criticism for it is the need to fix the balance of brightness when switching to them. With the panel lights on the far side it is very.....tiring to watch? Not painful, just made it more exhausting in comparison to the other videos.

Well played game on everyone's part. I do want to add please don't give up on Atraxa being a good cedh food chain outlet. I know that 4C-Omnath/First Sliver are good for their colors (Dockside loops, Breach lines...) but I believe that there is a list that can work. I may not be the best player or deck designer but I imagine that there may be some Food Chain Stax list that could do well.
On the phantasmal image, Tyler could have copied Elesh Norn right ? Would that have been a good play ?
The panharmonicon ability doesn’t affect mox diamond because it’s a replacement effect not an ETB

Nice game, I'm not convinced the length of the game is so much due to the new commander being weak than to one player having heavy stax, Linvala T3 and Elesh T4 can probably stop many other decks; but I admit I've not been really convinced by any card in the set so far -- as a commander that is.

Because of Mox Diamond's updated wording I'm not sure that you actually would discard 2 lands. This is the oracle text for Mox Diamond "If Mox Diamond would enter the battlefield, you may discard a land card instead. If you do, put Mox Diamond onto the battlefield. If you don't, put it into its owner's graveyard."
I liked occasionally seeing you guys seated at the table. It was a nice touch. I feel like you guys loosened up your game play quite a bit as if you were playing a casual game. I think this was due to the sub par commanders. I think the new guy did pretty good for a first commander game.

definitely love the new style, only thing i would say is to adjust the lighting for the face cams cause its a little washed out. that being said this game was pretty awesome
Tyler is cold blooded haha we have a running joke in my playgroup that if you get targeted with intuition, it's because that person thinks you are the weakest player at the table.
