@@ModAnonMTG lol I wasn’t even mad. I had to mull down to 3 in 4th seat so it just ended the pain faster haha. I had sol ring , land and a wheel with prayer to get back in it. I couldn’t afford to hold interaction. Especially turn 0

Unfortunately it can't! If you copy with wandering archaic you're copying the spell as it exists on the stack and the chosen mode on it is counter target blue spell, so if Brian copies it, it also has to be on that mode, he can't choose the other

@skourer8107 I'm not sure Tivit has received a lot of new tech in the past calendar year but imo still easily in the top 4 commanders in the meta, I think unless collector ouphe becomes worth running in high numbers again it'll be hard to knock tivit too far off the throne
Definitely some unintentional kingmaking when your One Ring was countered. It was no secret what was going to happen just down the road. I get that TOR has a reputation, but it was CLEARLY the wrong fuse to put out.
There's something to be said that it was a FoN and not FoW so you can't counter Etali with it obvi, but yeah like I said I was pretty surprised to see it used there

But obviously it was in my hand?? I dunno my brain is swiss cheese but thanks for having me on 😂😂😂

Core augur says hand size is reduced by 7 so that only causes a player to discard when it gets to their cleanup step and the game asks "do you have more than the max amount of cards in your hand" I Deluge on the next turn during my main phase so augur never has the opportunity to make anyone discard Same reason you can draw more than 7 through a turn cycle on opps turns with rhystic study etc and don't have to discard until the end of your own
That's my thought. If it's a real tournament, sure, you made your mistake, gotta live with it, but I'd always rather see a game to its logical conclusion

It just says “If you cast it” so cascading into it or casting from the graveyard or anything like that is still casting. But if you have an effect that puts it into the battlefield or copies it you don’t get the protection
