Tip #1: play with as much joy as Tim. Everything after that will fall right into place….😊
I always pray with joy...every breath, is a gift.
Shhh! You need to delete this post!
Absolutely … this is the 100% truth! 🤘❤️🎸
Your playing sounds so perfect, smooth sound and velvety touch, wonderful note articulation. I like the Eastman guitar. Thanks for the tips video.
Thank you too! Appreciate the comment
The older I got, I stopped overplaying and started orchestrating. Thanks for the tips, Tim.
That's great! I guess the same thing happens to me
Tim, watching your channel is an absolute joy! Not only are you amazing to listen to, but you have great insights, fascinating stories, and so much music to talk about. But what sets you apart is the look of absolute joy on your face when you play! It's amazing to see.
Mind blown by shoving pick in the gap on the pickup housing.
Changed my world Tim! How could I have missed this all these years!
Tim, your passion shines through your playing. Thank you for all of the work you have done and the videos you share.
My pleasure!
@@timpierceguitarHi Tim, I noticed you’re playing an Eastman Romeo which I have been eyeballing a few weeks. How’s your experience with it after a year? I yet have to find negative comment, they seem to be amazing quality for the dollar 😅
I don't play, but I enjoyed the hell out of hearing and watching you play.
my fav player on yt this guy is the real deal.
WOW, Tim your ability to teach , the different techniques for playing the instrument and still impact me with feeling while you're teaching , is a wonder gift ,! It makes me want to just listen to you play and talk about what you are playing . Thank you mister Pierce !
Both of my kids now play Eastman acoustics. They are making some excellent guitars and great prices.
Great lesson Tim!!! I love how peaceful the track is and your playing is so tasteful as always 🔥
Thanks for the wonderful lesson! I love how you parse topics into understandable and relatable playing tips. So good. Thanks again.
I've watched so many videos by Tim but thus may be his beautiful playing yet. So tasteful and smooth
Beautiful Guitar, even more beautiful playing ... effortless ! I love watching you seamlessly go thru these changes. Thanks
Loved this video Tim! Your joy is infectious 😄🤘
You're lessons are always the best! Thanks for you and your love of music!
I feel like I'm starting to understand. The way you talked me through this one has me beaming! Thank you so much for this style of teaching.
I learn and enjoy your videos. I watch so I can hear the joy brought to sound. Fantastic teaching. Once my Grandson has advanced enough I plan on buying him a membership to your master class.
Always inspired, impressed, and so many great tips that you share. Thank you.
Great tip for conveniently getting the pick out of your hand but keeping it readily accessible. I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Thanks.
Every time I watch I am reminded to lighten my touch. Such a difference.
Eastman make great guitars .
Fantastic Eastman. Pickups are spot on...as are the tips and execution of course!
Always love your playing! Also happen to love Eastman guitars. That Romeo is drop dead gorgeous!
My God you're a gift. I love your contribution to all the songs I loved listening to when I was younger and now the training you offer. A true master
So tasty! I look forward to finding this in the masterclass. Thank you as ever for sharing your inspiring tips!
Tim has become of of my favorite guitarists. Joining the likes of Via, Satch, Prince, Melvoin, Knopfler and EVH. Thank you Tim!
I really liked that style of lesson. Much more like a hang than a lesson.
We are really living in the best time for music. Thank you so much for this!
''I ignore time.'' Such a good definition of a master improviser.
Nice sounding guitar! Of course, Tim could make any guitar sound great. Will look for the expanded in the Masterclass. Thanks Tim!
What a great video. I have to say those hammer ons were more reminiscent of Mayfield or Womack than Cropper but I love all three and have been influenced by them since I was a kid.
I have the Eastman version of a Casino and absolutely adore it. They make fantastic guitars, crazy value.
Always entertaining, never boring. Much respect Tim...
I got an Eastman 386T (like a 335 ) ,it's a lefty ,and I LOVE it! The neck feels "just right " and it has Kent Armstrong PUPs .Really sweet ! I'm a lucky guy !
I don’t know why I never thought to wedge the pick in the pickup ring! I primarily use finger style but need the pick every now and then and have never been good at palming the pick.
Thanks, man!
Beautiful singing tone. Tasty playing. All your videos are so enjoyable. Thanks!
I didn't know about the Göldo stuff. Thanks, Tim! Great vid as always!
I have an Eastman T484 (Like an ES339) and really love it - VERY well made, sounds & plays like a dream. One day the wind caught it during a break at an outdoor gig, and it flew 12 feet and landed on concrete - with no damage!
You're playing takes my breath away! Subscribed!
Great playing and explaining Tim!!
Lovely playing and solid solid tips. Thank you! Very nice guitar too. Very clever tremelo bar design that you can drop in an a stop tailpiece guitar. I'm surprised no one thought of it before!
So many tasty notes and licks within a couple of minutes. Awesome.
Your Tone Tips are the Best Tim!! YOu Rock
such a beautiful guitar - and a wonderful master-player
That is one beautiful tune you played and with such skill....
Tim is my favorite on UA-cam. I was thinking about buying this particular Easterman model. I’m sold! Thanks Tim for demoing it.
Watched this video, bought this guitar. Can't help it. GAS:) But Tim made it an easy and a very good choice. Lovin' this guitar! Nice demo, Tim!
The best info I’ve gotten in years is resting my pick in the humbucker edge!! Many thanks Tim.
Beautiful guitar, beautiful playing.
So much class and taste
That tip putting the plectrum in the humbucker route is getting tried next playing session. What a great idea. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and musicality, it truly is inspiring.
Also on tele or strats if you slightly back off the pick guard screws on one side, a pick can be securely placed with the tip under the plastic.
Great playing. Phrasing is everything and your variations are coupled with great phrasing. Lovely guitar. I have an eastman acoustic. Amazing guitar. Affordable and all solid handmade.
Tim is a world class musician with a kind and humble heart.
Breaking free from time is my favorite “loosener” brings soul into it. Bro, I love your expression. So clear and flexible. 1 ❤️
I appreciate that!
Reminds me a lot of Keith Scott’s playing on Bryan Adam’s Native Son! Brilliant playing Tim, such an inspiration!
Love your playing, Tim. Other than the arm, that trem looks just like a Duesenberg Les Trem II. I just put one on my Eastman T484.
love this
Amazing lesson Tim,
Hey thank you so much I appreciate it
Nice tasteful stuff. That Guitar is a beaut. I've been adding my Trem pedal for some of my runs. Perhaps Pops staples has influenced me. Take care
Yet another reason why subscribing to this channel is a must for every guitar player.
Great vid, Tim. Love my two Eastman... real deals.
Same here!
Tim explanations are so easy to follow, his talent is massive and of course, far far away ahead from mine. Gorgeous Eastman Romeo LA guitar that sounds awesome in Tim’s hands ✌️😁
Wonderful playing as usual maestro.
Thank you kindly!
Great sound! Are you using the stock strings D'Addario .011-.049?
Great lesson Tim. I love Eastman guitars. I almost bought a Romeo a couple years ago when I was looking for a Gibson 335 style guitar. I ended up buying an Eastman T184MX. It's a great guitar, but I should have bought the Romeo.
I'd deeply appreciate a video incorporating parts of your brilliant and elegant contribution on Kenny Loggins' "Blue on Blue". What a piece! Simplistic greatness...
Loving the Eastman Romeo LA
Oh my god, I never thought to put my pick in the bezel, clever!
Very nice Tim 😎👍
Your playing sounds like Joe Walsh recording a new Eagles song…beautiful.
And one beautiful guitar as well much like a TV but with a Guild style!
I own a handful of Eastman instruments. They kick a lot of butt!
Liked your finger freedom playing. The one bug a boo i have with dual PU guitars is the narrow 2 1/16" bridge string spacing.
Tim, Is this wider, like a tele?
So I looked up the Juliet's specs and they dont have that spec.
But . . . they have a wide nut-width! The 1.72" Gibson acoustic nut-width that I find so great. Especially with their round 12" radius most acoustics don't have. This guitar could be that smooth player with a tad more room for adult chords?
He talks a lot about hardware but that has nothing to do with how good this guy is. His talent and attitude is what brings the magic to this channel. I think Tim could very well be the Bob Ross of guitar UA-camrs, so chill with killer spirit. A lot of his career success most likely has to do with attitude and spirit as much as it has to with his talent. Here is what appears to be the definition of success for musical artist//: Someone who has earned a relevant career the hard way and now is just sharing the joy with the world.
Eastman makes great guitars. I bought a T59/v after playing well over a dozen 335s/339s at my local Guitar Centers and it is superior in every way.
Eastman does make great guitars but I wound up going the other way. The T59 just didn't sound like a 335. I sold mine and got a Gibson Memphis 335 from 2018. I am very happy with it.
Sweet!
Please do a "heaven on their minds" lick demo
Man that guitar sounds amazing. Tim is obviously a superb player but wow!
Tim, you could make a Sears Silvertone Guitar with the strings a half an inch above the fingerboard sound great, Cousin Figel
the playing is so effortless
such a phenomenal player
I really appreciate it
That's beautiful. Bill Nelson plays Eastmans I think, and that tone is very like him.
Boy thanks Tim just yesterday is the first time in a year that I sounded decent to myself but I didn't have anything hooked up or wasn't planned anyone unfortunately nobody hears me like that much and knows what I can do so I'm just going to keep working on that and getting back to that thank you so much for your tips it's so true for me anyway I never felt so good in a long time as I did yesterday when I was playing I just might say that I was thinking about you and maybe we'll get together someday and Jim I love that. Bless your heart Tim.
Excellent
I never hear a clam from you! Thanks, Tim
Change UP my playing! It's exactly what I need! how did you know Tim? 😅😉
Thank you for all that you bring to us!👍
Sounds great.🐨
Off topic...
Tim i just discovered your work with Cock Robin...amazing!
Thank you for supporting one of my favs in my childhood 🙏and i ask Rick to do a "what makes this song great" on his channel 😉
Greetings from Germany and much love and light 🙏❤🌞🌍🙂👽
I was this old when I learned the pick in the pickup trick!
Nice guitar,,,,thanks Tim 😊
Thank you too!
A year’s worth of practice material in one video!
I tried to get this guitar but it was stuck in a shipping container somewhere.
Gave up after six months or so of not knowing.
Sounds great Tim
I can dig it Flame 🔥 On
I doesn't hurt to have top shelf studio playing skills. You sir are a FEENOMINAL player. Pun intended.
Tim and his peers are not just American culture, these guys are American greatness.
Nice playing. Pretty guitar too. Where is it made?
Tim, your generosity of spirit is amazing! Your skills also seem unattainable to the guy that learned to play folk guitar and has been focused on all six strings sounding at the same time. Learning from you and others like Rick Beato could make me a much better player, I just have to do the work now… get a space set up and commit to investing time to improve!
Wow, thanks!
I'm now 60...playing off/on since 9....20 year hiatus to raise kids. Tip: Spider drills....jazz chords...both have really moved me beyond my highest expectations. Challenge yourself and play the same 'hard parts' hundreds of times before moving to the next part of the song. Again...really improved my skills and muscle memory via rote repetition.
Haven't played any Eastman electrics, but I'm a BIG fan of their acoustics. Their lower priced offerings play like more expensive guitars, IMO, and their Grand Auditorium size design is just about perfect for me. Not too bulky like a Dreadnought, nice and comfortable on the lap, but still with enough volume on the voice. The two I have both have some nice depth to their tone, with pretty overtones on the Sitka and Ovangkol one. They're a good guitar company. They make nice stuff, at least based on what I've played so far.
Does anyone know which chair is mr. Pierce using?
Holy shit. Tim how aren't you a pop star
Great to see you getting the best out of that Eastman Romeo La
Thanks so much it's a very friendly guitar!
@@timpierceguitar what I would give to sit in your Circle of Amps and have a go with your rig
@@timpierceguitar 🙏 the master has spoken hehe love your playing
Nice guitat, too.
