Well done Nicole for going to another off-road tour, the more you practice the easier it will be and definitely will help you when you go for your RTW trip! 👍👍
Always enjoy your videos..and thanks for sharing those beautiful places Big heavy bikes have some benefits..but also many negatives. I can imagine you..will..agree with many travellers, especially those venturing off road...that a light, more manageable machine is the way forward. Take care.. stay safe
Thank you for yet another great insight into your travels, I guessed your bike would weigh 280 kilos, so I was way out. Knowing how heavy it is shows what a good rider you are. Safe travels.
Great to see you again. A really beautiful film with spectacular scenery. The waterfall in the caves was amazing. The castle looked incredibly interesting. I love old castles and churches, such impressive architecture they display. Thanks for sharing another great episode of your journey. Have fun.
I've enjoyed all your videos, you you please send a link to where the cueva de agua is as I live nearby in Marbella and would like to go and visit the caves
Thank you :) maps.app.goo.gl/c3fdmJBKX6DzHTAH7?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy There you find it, if the link isn't working you can just tipe it in Google maps
I have watched all your videos the first one when you came off it just looked like the bike is to heavy for you but you have really done well on your adventure but with a lighter bike I think you would enjoy the off road more and have more confidence with a lighter bike as you said back home they are called cows cows are heavy enjoy and safe riding
Thanks :) well I consider a lighter bike for next year, but tbh there is no perfect solution. The bike itself isn't that much heavier than 700 - 900ccm bikes (20kg), but you need a skid plate, crash bars, luggage.. etc. I hope next years accommodation will be cheaper so I might get rid of the camping gear..
Be safe with your off road course. Being an old codger I downsized from a 2017 T120 Bonneville to a Royal Enfield 350 cc Classic. Basically it was too heavy for me now. How is the height of your saddle for you?
I liked the gorges with water flowing through and the city on the hill. The weight of motorbike does not surprise me, its a heavy bike and well loaded up.
I can’t even comprehend packing all that crap on a motorcycle. Buy hey, whatever makes you happy. I could happily go on the road indefinitely with a small fraction of that eye popping kit.
@@travelwithevora no idea what you’re packing. That’s you’re business. Not mine. I don’t need or want to know. No offense. The contents of your kit is your business not mine. I say respectfully. I’m just looking at the volume of your kit vs my camping focused kit and saw the title of the video about the weight. I bring the bare minimum of gear, but that’s just me. You should pack whatever makes you happy. No absolute right or wrong. I just know for me, I’d go crazy with all that bulk/weight on my bike. Ride your ride. Be safe. Have fun. Peace.
@@GreggBennett-j3p exactly.. you don't know. :) first, I adjusted it .. and it's the bare minimum for 6 months on the road, temperatures between 0 - 42 degrees. You compare different situations.. I can travel with almost nothing for 2 weeks but not 6 months.
The new 1300gs offically weigh 236kg, but when its been weighed online in some videos its coming in at 268kg.I doubt the 1250 is close to 246 to start with.Ride safe.
@@mickhep yeah BMW always refers to the basic model.. as soon as you get some extra headlights, heated grips, electrical suspension, etc. It will be more, thanks
Apparently an R1250GS weighs 249kg, so it looks like your panniers and luggage weigh 100kg! Wow. haha No wonder you had a struggle to pick it up! That's the equivalent of four fully loaded suitcases that you are allowed to check in on a flight. That seems difficult to believe.
@@SlipperyJack60 it's not only the luggage :) the skid plate and crash bars are very heavy (16kg) the panniers have 15,5kg plus the weight of the mounting plate and the frames on the side (~5kg). The motorcycle has the highest level of equipment, so additional headlights, seat heating, electric suspension, etc., the factory specification from BMW refers to the base model... including cameras and their holders, extra navigation holder etc. you can easily calculate another + approx. 10kg. That means the 90kg extra weight is about 50kg just add-on parts. That leaves ~40kg for luggage... and in addition to camping equipment I also have a tool roll which is quite heavy and water in my luggage. :)

That's a big scale intended for trucks, i very much doubt it will be precise with something under a ton on it.
@@Angel_EU34 oh I used such a scale in Germany (because it was free) and it even had my body weight right when I left my car 😂
