Fantastic episode… it’s a pity that you don’t put subtitles indicating the name of some places… for instance what village was that at minute 10? Congratulations and many thanks for the sharing
@@heldermarrelha7303 Thank you :) that's a good point, I'll try to include more places. The village at minute 10 is the Castle of "Castelo Rodrigo" and is part of the town next to it "Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo" where I stopped for my lunch.
great video as usual. having done what you have done, and gaining the experience, do you think you would choose a large capacity bike again? It seems that few of your miles are fast, so the compromise of weight to overall progress might change with experience?
@@gasman6163 Thank you 😊 I will use a lighter bike next year. It was the right choice for this year :) I was up north afterwards and often rode long distances. For other continents, something smaller is absolutely sufficient, so I'm selling the GS now.
Hi! In portuguese when you find in a word a letter 'c' before an 'a' a 'o' or a 'u' the 'c' is pronounced 'k'. If you want to force the 'c' pronunciation then you must write 'ç'. So 'Celorico' becames 'Celoriko'. Now... those little constructions you saw in the way up de the hill with the antennas are for religious purposes they are the stages of 'Via Sacra' the 'Sacred Way'. Have a nice ACT.
@@travelwithevora Not always the DJI map is quite poor in that respect, so just be cautious. In Spain there is a proper online map with all the official no fly zones and the temporary restrictions and heights. This varies daily and its what the police use.
@@esrider7765 ok 👍🏻 good to know thanks, every time I compared the official maps with the DJI maps it was correct, at least the "red" zones where it's relevant.
Eye opener. I had no idea Portugal had so much open space. Great ride. Thanks.

Be careful with the radio station on hill, in Spain they are completely no fly zones, not sure in Portugal.
@@esrider7765 The DJI drone has the forbidden zones defined and indicates when it is forbidden.
