    I had been skiing at Lake Louise, Alberta and met a couple from Spain. We had a great day and exchanged contact information as I knew we were planning a trip to Southern Spain. I reached out to the couple prior to leaving Canada and arranged to meet. We were in Malaga and attempted to rent a motorcycle when we arrived but things did not work out. A phone call to give our regrets and our Spanish friend told us he would call back in 10 minutes. True to his word our friend called and said a BMW motorcycle would be waiting for us 900 metres from the front door of our hotel.
    This led to a great day of riding some of which included Ronda. We had tappas with our new friends at an old fortress outside of Gibraltar. Great roads in Southern Spain.

    Another great video from you guys, loving this trip of yours and feeling very jealous, that would have been a great camping spot for sure….I do feel sorry for those sheep with a bell round their necks 24/7, some great roads there with some amazing drone shots, and nice and empty too, just up our street, thanks for sharing, and yes certainly don’t put Malaga and those roads together!

      Hi, thanks do much for your comment =). We really enjoyed this trip -great to explore Spain by Motorcycle. Would have been a good camping spot but those sheep might have been an early alarm clock! Yeah cant be fun having a bell around their neck all day and night! We were very pleasantly surprised by Malaga and the nearby roads.... the best is yet to come =) Cheers S&E

      Hi, you're welcome! Thanks for your comment, October will be a good month to tour as mid summer is just too hot! For this trip we mostly stuck around the coast, but we would like to return to see more of the interior of Spain. After we left Malaga we rode one of the bet roads in Spain (well at we think so =). Cheers and kind regards S&E

    You guys look very 'cool' in all the black gear ..on an all black bike .. but I can't help[feeling that you must be feeling 'roasted' in that Spanish sun ! Loving your channel, really informative and fun ! I am hoping to do the same on a Guzzi Stelvio .. Thanks :)

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  11 місяців тому

      Thanks! It was hot in Spain for sure but our suits are fully vented and really good for the airflow (we could have opted for the lighter color but we like the look too much plus the black is easier to keep clean)
      Really glad you like our channel and thanks for the encouragement!
      Sounds great - my first motorcycle trip with my dad was on a 1100 Guzzi California so they mean a lot to me =)

    Good video. Brings back lots of fond memories riding in Spain whether in Andalucia or elsewhere. A very agreeable climate. Great roads as well, nice smooth surface most of the time. I like Malaga a lot, also Granada as well which is a little cooler being on a plateau. There are some wonderful historic sites to see eg the Alcazaba in Malaga or the Alhambra in Granada, you need to book for this, or La Calahorra near Guadix used as a back drop in Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western For a Few Dollars More I think. Ronda is very pretty with it's famous bridge.
    Two wheels are very much more accepted in Spain compared to the UK where we are at best tolerated and at worst hated.
    Black summer riding gear looks good but it is a little impractical as black absorbs doesn't reflect heat. I prefer silver grey/white gear in summer. I have Revit Eclipse mesh jacket in lighter silver grey white. It feels very much cooler than black. I have both black Spada mesh summer textile and RST perforated leather jackets which although excellent are not as cool as my Revit Eclipse jacket. I wear a Knox back and chest protector and CE shoulder, elbow and hip protection beneath.
    It can be very hot in Andalucia the summer, but tbh I would personally rather be very hot in summer than bloody freezing for 4-5 months of the year in the cold wet miserable UK.
    There are some very picturesque mountain villages and towns in Andalucia a few with fresh water spas which are so refreshing. However construction in the hills and mountains is still going on at a considerable place although you can see quite a few abandoned building projects where I guess people have run into problems or out of money. Eventually there will be development everywhere which is such a shame in such a beautiful area.
    Thanks for making and sharing your videos.

      Hi Alex,
      Thanks for your comment and we are really glad you liked the video!
      Yeah we agree with you, Spain is a great place to ride with so many fascinating Towns, vistas and roads to explore. Some great recommendations for the future there so thanks.
      Yeah people are very bike respectable there, often moving over for us to pass and lots of bike parking too.
      Yeah the Black doesn't reflect the heat however we are really impressed with how cool the Touratech Compañero Summer Traveller keeps us, it is available in grey but we like that the black never looks old (and that it matches the bike of course lol) i think it's comfortable even up to 30-35 degrees but perhaps any hotter then a lighter colour would be better again.
      We didn't find any of those fresh water spas! but they would have been a welcome refreshing stop indeed!
      This video was part of the Heading South Playlist, here's the trip playlist in case you are interested in the other place we went to which i guess you know well already =)

    Hi Sean and Emily! Just stumbled into your channel and I’m glad I did. I’m planning an Andalusian motorcycle ride/tour next year and seeing the roads around Malaga, I’m definitely going there. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Btw, what’s the name of the song and artist that you had playing around the 2.5 mins to 4.5 mins of your video? I’ve been searching for it for a while now and no luck. Anyway, great video again!

      @SeanandEmily Hi thanks for the reply, I did check out your site and equipment but couldn't find what you used. I've got an 1150gs that we toured around France and Holland this summer, but would be good to use a Bluetooth coms device. Look forward to your next vlog 👍

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  Рік тому +1

      Hi Alan, the 1150GS is a fantastic bike -i really like the look of them and the feel of the air cooled boxer!
      If you are wanting communication only then the Cardo system is the way to go as they have always worked very well for us, they are supplied with the microphones and everything you need.
      If you are wanting to connect them to a video recording device i believe it is possible to use an audio splitter cable to split the signal from the Cardo Mic to the the headset and camera although i haven't tested it myself.
      All the best S&E
