  • The basics for trolling for Kokanee. Dave and I hit Merwin lake to give a basic tutorial for trolling for Kokanee! One thing we really stress on is trolling speed! Also, I share some interesting Kokanee facts!
Special thanks to my wife Jodie ( Catania insparations) for narration.
Also you can find my spinners locally at four corners store in Castle Rock.

@@northforklures275 I use to fish a lot when I was younger. Fished a lot of the rivers around eastern shore, Maryland and the chesapeake bay. Use to catch, catfish, white perch, yellow perch, croakers and occasional rock fish (Stripped Bass)... in late summer we would catch some bluefish. also had a few lakes and rivers that were stocked with trout.
When I started my lawn and landscape company many years ago, it took away a lot of my free time in the spring and summer and fishing was put on the back burner. never had time for it. worked 8 days a week, sun up to sun down and was a single parent.
Biggest mistake I ever made was working all those hours when me and my kids were younger. worked that way for 25 years. still do lawn and landscaping but now only schedule 4 days a week, sometimes I will work 5 0r 6 days a week, does not happen often, mainly in the spring.

My Slice Of Heaven Outdoors yea I understand working all those hours but when you are a single parent you don’t have much of a choice. Those are quite the variety of fish. Where you are from can you buy salmon? Or is it a costal thing?

Well I know a lot more about Kokanee than I previously did Adrian....I didn't know they were landlocked....Trolling for this species really tweek'd my interest because I enjoy trolling offshore down here!! Question....Have you given any thought to a Trolling Flap or Drop plate to control your speed on your primary engine or the kicker....I use to troll for Kingfish a lot & I had one on my primary engine....might be a viable alternative to dragging socks!!

    • @northforklures275
