I just picked up a Winchester 1873 in 38-40, manufactured in 1889, it is gorgeous, built like a tank, now I have 3 Winchesters, 1873, 1892 and 1894, each over 125 years old..
Next i would like to add the Winchester 1876 to my collection. .
Btw, I shoot each one at least twice a month, no safe queens..
it s my favoritt gun winchester 1873 one of one hundred and one ofone thausend i love them tums upp
The only known firearm to have a movie about it: *Winchester 73’*
How about "Springfield Rifle" with Gary Cooper in 1952? Or "Carbine Williams", about the invention of the M1 Carbine?
For my money, the 1873 model Winchester was the most beautiful rifle ever made. IMHO.
Phenomenal rifle !
My head is swimming to think what this rifle will bring at auction.
@@martinstiastny7679 Our pre-auction estimate is $275,000 - $375,000.
I know it's going to sound ludicrous to some, but for a rifle like that, I think it's money well spent. One of really SEVEN rifles, an iconic rifle . . .
When you gotta put on your fancy dress for a gun

Good show and tell but I didn’t hear what caliber it was.

The realized price was $805,000.

😮🥺😀😲😀😮
Probably will sell for $30,000.00+ and some rich guy will throw a synthetic stock and an accessory rail on it.
try $300K
Yea right! Like a Winchester lover is going to destroy a piece of history lol
Hey they said this rifle went for over $800,000 and took a while to sell. I have an original Model 1873 Winchester with a Smith & Wesson 6 shooter to match. I will be passing them along down to my son and hopefully from him to his son and so forth. The pair has been in the family for three generations so far and it's something that I am glad to be able to do. Having one Winchester is something most people don't have an opportunity to have. That is, an original Winchester. And having the matching sideam in the same caliber as the rifle is even more rare.
