    While engravings may not help the weapons power, that doesn’t matter 😎...
    as long as you got your gun look stylish, that’s what matters!! That Savage 99 is pure bliss.

    They also look like they varnished the stocks. Try, just try to buy these old varnishes today. I have gotten close with Tung oil and hardeners when I used to make carbine stocks for John Martz luger carbine maker from Lincoln, CA in the 1970s and 1980s.

    those are all great, but i like the machine guns, and the odd ball semi autos/ experimental and one offs.

    I’m not a fan of over-engraving as i call it but that 99 is something else. I like the wood carving but could do without most of the metal engraving and gold screws.

    God awful ugly. Not a fan of ruining a implement who’s mission is beautiful.
