  • Both the Winchester 1 of 100 and the 1 of 1,000 are enough to quicken the heart of any fine arms collector, but when you can trace them back to their original owners it is truly a special occurrence.
With that history unveiled, the guns suddenly have a voice - capable of telling us where they went and what they've done. The two Winchester Model 1873 rifles featured in this video have just such a voice.
Their astonishing adventures, from the wilds of California to the untamed Amazon River, help to keep fresh in our minds the heritage of those who came before us, and to be mindful of our own legacies.

Two Remington’s, One Adventure decades in the making…… my 2 ea circa 1981 Remington 870 Express Magnum pump action shot guns have traveled at least 8,000 miles to Arkansas Duck hunting via I-40 fighting my way thru Memphis, Tn going to and returning from the western outpost of Brinkley, Ar. These two 870’s have single handedly reduced the duck population in North America over the last four decades and have been used as walking sticks, boat paddles, fishing poles and to be placed between tree branches to hang all our decoys from over nite when returning to the same oxbow the next morning to avoid packing everything back out. Lastly these two 870’s have saved countless lives each year during winter warm ups by dispatching 100’s of “Copper Headed Rattle moccasins” that would attempt to board our skiff’s or worse yet enter our snipers nest( aka duck blind). These Shot Guns are currently housed in a humidity and temperature controlled locker at the Wild Bill Williams fire arms museum in Cedar Grove, Tennessee. May be seen by appointment only!

My dad had a chance to buy a 1 of 1000 in the late 80's for $35,000 that was in rough shape and he passed. I wonder where that gun is today, and what it is worth?
