Maybe you could do a vid on using the denman brush to style, BUT using it like a curling wand instead of the usual smooth/clumping way...theres some other vids out there using it this way, but I'd love to see you try it cause your personality is the best!
Protein free products to save hair from protein overload. Protein free shampoo, conditioner, DC, leave in, cream, oil, gel. That would be an awesome video. Most overload videos are type 4 Hair and I have coarse 2b-3a. That would be an awesome video
What do you do to refresh sweaty hair? I find it hardest to refresh after I workout. P.s. I’ve been wearing the same sweatshirt for the last 2 weeks! (also not Covid related)
I agree with the person who said a video on how to refresh after a workout. The videos I've seen make me feel like these people don't work out that often. IDK but I work out 4-5 times a week and it's sweaty!!! I cannot go more than 3 days between washes but even then my hair looks like crap by day 3!
Omg my hair is completely straight by day 2 sometimes. And if I put my hair up at any point in that time, it's definitely straight by that time. I think it's a fine hair thing
Loved this!!! I never tried the Denman brush on refresh days and it makes such a difference!! Your hair is so beautiful! My hair is thinner as I have gotten older and I miss the thickness. I generally just spray my whole head with water and scrunch, but I could definitely use more product. I also like how you clip the roots, that has always been a struggle for me. I also never thought of steaming - wow! Thanks for your helpful tips! I really mean it - thank you! :)
YOUARE A LIFE SAVER!!! I have been stressing about my hair because it was beautiful curls and waves on day 1 but then after the curls fall out and everything is flat. I didn't know there were refresh products like this available, and I'm excited to try them out!
I definitely struggle with refreshing so this was great! And thanks for showing product options. I keep trying to like mousse and foam but it always leaves my hair dry, gritty, somewhat tangly and “producty.” I bought a cheap facial steamer and I LOVE how it feels to refresh with steam and I love the idea of it, but never get great results. I will be trying your tips!
Yes! Lazy curlies unite! 😂 Love your tips! I definitely prefer being lazy with my 2b/2c hair.. I'm in transition, trying to find all the laziest, easiest tips possible. Since I refuse to spend too much time on my hair. 😂
Gahhhhhd, I lalaLOVE you and your videos! I love how you laugh at yourself, I love how you give such great tips and advice, and I love that you're raw and real and just YOU. Keep up the great work, chicka!!! xxoo
the only thing i hate about my natural curly hair, is buying and trying different products. ugh. it's never ending, and waste of a lot of money. with the steam, doesn't the frizzies happen? it does to me on like a hot muggy day.
I’m soo glad to see your beautiful face back on my screen! Our hair seems very similar so I love seeing how you care for your hair. I hope you’re doing well ❤️
Well if you will use the brush on refresh days you can as well curl your curls on the brush's handle Btw you look great with your hair up.. this style shows your beautiful face 💚✨👒 Curly gang 😂
Hmmmm I have a problem that doesn’t really apply to you. Maybe you have thoughts. My hair is very long, and I’m trying to learn how to refresh when basically it looks like I need to brush it. But of course I can’t just brush it. But you don’t have any tangles, you can just pull your fingers through all your hair. I couldn’t do that. Should I brush it before I do your method? Thanks!
I never tried a refresh but I have curly hair that’s not curly unless I fix it that way so this will let me wear my hair the way it looks the best more often with out having to do it everyday
Thank you for this video! I have been curious about the steamer you use...can you do a whole demo on it(if you haven’t already)? I’m curious how you use it to detangle without undoing the curl pattern. Also not sure if you already have a video on this since I just discovered you but can you recommend dry shampoos for oily hair? That’s my biggest issue and that the oil then makes my wavy curls fall. I’m so happy I found this video, thank you🙏💕💕💕
Hi Janelle! This is going to be random. I notice you have a lot of tongue tension when you speak. If you have issues with jaw pain, headaches, etc. that might explain it! In your video when you say words like "curl" and "curve" with a strong 'r' that is a good example of a lot of tongue tension. Maybe weird to comment but I thought it might help!
Hi Chris! Thank you! I had never heard of this previously, looked it up after seeing your comment and a light bulb went off. Started some stretches to help with it! Appreciate it!
Your flyaway tip was so useful. I stopped dying my hair about 8 months ago and my grays go crazy at the top. I never could get them to not stick straight up, so I'll be trying that soon. Thanks for sharing.
❤️ I wanna try that first technique 😉 Great video 👍🏼👍🏼 Per the 2nd Refresh method- I doubt I could spot refresh with water & a brush. I don’t do so great with brush styling on washday.
I don't know what to say! You are amazing! I ve probably always been curly (I was as a toddler) and I am just now getting to be a curly old girl!😂 There are so many things you've taught me❤
Nice video. I have a question, I go running and all my hair becomes sweaty and entangled so I need to comb them. You can imagine how frizzy hair becomes after that and all my curls are gone. Any advice for that
Your videos are fantastic! I washed my hair everyday 😦yes I know....bad. Learning to get away from that. Are you refreshing at night? Do most curlies wash their hair at night!?
It's good to see you back. I thought I'd figured out my hair but still hadn't really used the Denman brush. When my hair is really wet on wash day the denman doesn't seem to do anything. My hair gets really straight when wet. Now I will try it on my refresh. Normally I extend my definition by loosely twisting several curls together and pinning to my head before putting on my bonnet. It's like curl training or setting the hair each night. I like it because I gently detangle beforehand and so my hair is no longer tangled for days in between washes. Plus I get bangin curls each morning until day 4 or 5. I will try the Denman for refreshing individual curls b/c my hair is similar to yours in curl type. Haven't tried steam either but want to. I remember watching you steam your hair when you were still in Vegas and wanting one of those steamers. I guess it's good quality since you still have it:)
Thanks for showing a different way than I’ve seen before for refreshing with gel. I’ve had trouble getting my hair to refresh with gel. Also I’ve been steaming my hair for a very long time (probably 30 years). I just use a soft not very tight headband to keep it out of my face. Sometimes the face framing pieces get wet and that’s not so bad! I Used to use any refreshing spray I could find. Now that I am CG I use Witch I Love your Hair!! Thanks to you😁
Your videos are informative; thanks. What strikes me is that you are ending up with that triangle look, not enough lift at your scalp. Have you ever had layers instead of all the same length, even a long shag cut? If so, how did you work with your curls?
My cut is intentional! I personally like the triangular look in general and the fullness that shape offers. I’ve done many layered cuts in the past and they’re not for me.. I explain why here -> ua-cam.com/video/1vuHDHdMUgw/v-deo.html
I'm so sad I didnt see this video before getting my hair cut in short layers last October. It's much better now but you wouldnt believe how poofy it was, a problem I also still face is that the short parts of my hair are a completely different texture, theyre like 2a waves whlie the long pieces are 2c. I think ill get my hair all cut to the same length this June and maybe get it cut in LONG layers if I build up the courage. Its so sad cause none of this would have happened if I could have spoken up for myself, the guy said you dont have wavy hair so you should be fine (talking about my brushed out hair). I guess part of the teen experience is learning to speak up for yourself :(
Hope you enjoyed the video! WHATS YOUR FAVORITE REFRESH ROUTINE?!?!
ps. what can I share with you next?!
Maybe you could do a vid on using the denman brush to style, BUT using it like a curling wand instead of the usual smooth/clumping way...theres some other vids out there using it this way, but I'd love to see you try it cause your personality is the best!

You never told us how life is out east!
Omg, thank you!!!! I thought I was literally the only one whose hair looked stretched out and frizzy by day 2. This was very helpful!!
Same!!! Great tips- I tried the targeting with denman/water/ and root clipping and works so well!!
Saaaame omg so glad I'm not the only one !!!
Omg my hair is completely straight by day 2 sometimes. And if I put my hair up at any point in that time, it's definitely straight by that time. I think it's a fine hair thing
Steamer looks awesome, but I really hate to buy yet another curly hair thing-a-ma-jig.
I’ve been using my ultrasonic mist humidifier on high.
Thank you for making this! I wash my hair every day when I wear my curls. I could never figure out how other people don't. Going to try them all!
I’m so happy you’re posting again!!!!

Girl those curl clumps!!! 😍
RIGHT?!?!?!
Wow I really needed this video!! I'm new to wearing my hair wavy/curly...just started in August! 😱 Very helpful! New sub ❤️
Love the sweatshirt.
OMG! This video was SO HELPFUL! Thank you!❤️❤️
Thank you for your awesome videos! Your happy personality always cheers up my day. 😊
Thank you for watching and for the love! I'm happy to have you here!
Brilliant!
bless you!
She laughs like Leslie Knope and I live for it
What was the steamer she was using the green hand held one? I don’t see it listed on her product list and couldn’t catch the name of it
What are side clips from?
How do you know if the products re-activate with water or not? :/
YOUARE A LIFE SAVER!!! I have been stressing about my hair because it was beautiful curls and waves on day 1 but then after the curls fall out and everything is flat. I didn't know there were refresh products like this available, and I'm excited to try them out!

I’m soo glad to see your beautiful face back on my screen! Our hair seems very similar so I love seeing how you care for your hair. I hope you’re doing well ❤️
Omg! You’re hoodie! Details please! I want it!! 😂
This is the best refresh video I’ve ever seen. Thank you ❤️
Well if you will use the brush on refresh days you can as well curl your curls on the brush's handle
Btw you look great with your hair up.. this style shows your beautiful face 💚✨👒
Curly gang 😂

I use the steam in the shower. But I may try my garment steamer! Thanks for the awesome demonstration and tips!
❤️❤️❤️
ayeeee baby 😍
Ooooh my goodness, you are wonderful!!! Thank you sister!!
I never tried a refresh but I have curly hair that’s not curly unless I fix it that way so this will let me wear my hair the way it looks the best more often with out having to do it everyday

Lady! You’re such a great teacher. Love this video. Thank you. 👏🏼
This is soooooo helpful, b/c I've been struggling with refreshing for my entire curly life... Thanks! :)
Just found your channel. You’re awesome. Love your personality and multiple suggestions!!
"Piss off the grays!" LOL. I have 75% gray...so it's all out war!!! Great suggestions. Thank you!

Great video! Thanks for the tips. I will definitely give the steam a try. Thank you! Have a wonderful day.
👍🏼👏🏼😊
what do you use to control fine frizzy hair?
ooooh ooohh I have that mist bottle - It's a Pattern bottle and it's the best!

Does the hard water thing really works? I’m thinking about getting one.
Another great video! Thank you! Love your content...and your laugh! 🤩😁😍
Ugh why is hair care so expensive 😭
Que lo ponga en español

You’re so awesomeeee!!! I love your energy. I’m getting into this at 34 - thank you for helping me figure out who my hair is!!!! ☺️
❤️ I wanna try that first technique 😉
Great video 👍🏼👍🏼

A much needed video tutorial!
You are adorable and this video is genius, thank you 👏👯♀️💥
I never thought of doing the dry shampoo at night! Brilliant!!

Does that gel get sticky if you apply it and your hair isn't wet? One of my gels is super sticky if your hair is dry
What is your definition of a denman brush? Is it the shape, the materials it's made of, or the brand? Would a wet brush work?
very helpful! never thought of using my Denman brush to refresh - thank you!
Hi Jannelle, thank you for sharing. What dry shampoo's do you use?
I’ve been using my ultrasonic mist humidifier on high :)
Can low porosity hair do the refresh spray without heat? Or would it just build up on hair?
What do we do if we workout and become a sweaty mess every day?
The third one (10:39) is genius!! I’m going to try this thank you
For the first day dry refresh did you blow dry or air dry with the clips in your hair?
Your videos are literally saving my hair😂
Thank u!
Thank you so much! Life changing.
Amazing. I love how the den man refresh works !
How many rows or bristles do you have in your denman brush?
Killing it girl!! Great tips, thank you so much
Girl short layers would be amazinggggg

Your curl by curl denman refresh gave me my first successful refresh ever!!
The best video on refresh that I’ve seen.
Great idea. Shower to refresh the hair . Easy
Adorable! Thank you.
Omg i needed that thank you
YAY!!! hope you enjoyed the video!
Where is your hoodie from? Love it!
This is SOOOOOO useful. Thank you 😘😘
Love your personality!
I cannot wait to try these tips
I loved this! So many helpful ideas and it moved along so that we got sooo much at a pace that was easy to follow. Thank you
