    ❤️very helpful video;
    If your Curls just need a Moisture Refresh, start watching at 3:01. If your curls have moisture but they need Definition for a Refresh watch at 3:58. If your curls need Moisture AND definition, then watch at 7:00

    Have you found a way to keep curls when you refresh (or on wash day) that are at the top of your head? As my hair gets longer and heavier (a few inches shorter than yours) my hair looks straight at the top and only starts to keep curls below my ears.

    • @curlytay

      There's a few things you can try.. 1. you can flip your hair from size to side and scrunch all the way up to your root. 2. You could try refreshing upside down or 3. You could diffuse after you refresh. ☺️

    I use mousse. Would you recommend mixing that with water for the refresher or what do you think about using an oil instead?

    I’m still in the early stages of embracing my curls, only about 4 or so months in. Love the detail and simplicity in your videos, but this one sort of scared me to be honest - how do I know what my hair needs on refresh days? So far if just been spraying it all with water and scrunching a tiny bit more gel in and letting it air dry… I’ve also been growing my hair out from a super short pixie so it is a little above my shoulders.

    • @curlytay
      @curlytay  2 роки тому

      Hi Cheryl! I really appreciate your honesty. I just base it off of how my hair feels. For example, if it feels dry, but I am happy with how it looks, I will just add a little bit of leave in to add that moisture. If it feels good, but my curls are looking stretched out or frizzy, I will just add gel. If water and gel is working for you and you are happy with your results, then my advice is to stick with it! (:

    When I finger detangle or barely touch my hair, then I get loose hairs wrapped around my fingers EV-ER-Y TIME! So, annoying and as a blonde my hair is kinda invisible (doesn’t help that I’m over 40 and need reading glasses 😂) so I haveta squint to find and then shake off the dumb shed hairs.

  • @lotus9351

    What is your advice when a part of the hair (bang) is very damaged and dry and does not hold volume like the remaining of the hair? Is there any special routine to apply to bang so that it takes moisture and volume like the remaining of the hair?

    • @curlytay
      @curlytay  2 роки тому

      I would recommend applying more product to that area. Really focus on moisture on that area and then more gel will be required to create more hold if it isn't holding it's curl like the rest of your hair. I also recommend trying to finger coil those pieces (like I did in the first refresh in the video). This will train your curls to curl like the rest of your hair and keep them looking good until they can curl like that on their own 😊
