the thing is: stellantis is a european manufacturer and here in europe the jeep wrangler is more of a fun car for higher earners. in the usa, however, the wrangler is more of a bread and butter car like the vw golf. understandably, the americans are not willing to pay such high prices for it

Just in last 2 years prices on ALL cars jump 50 percent.....so even all thus 10k discounts looks bad now. Cars that cost 50 k in 2021 in 2023 dealerships selling for 80 k plus..... rent doubled aswell , salaries are same for most people so no wonder that noone( majority) buying at that prices.
The prices assume that the customer's are all millionaires. They are not. Most people already own vehicles and are not desperate to throw away a truckload of money. Some people own multiple vehicles and they did not need to spend a truckload of money to get them.

The last Jeep I had was a 97 wrangler and my only complaint was it was under powered 4 cyl. They say the inline 6 was better. I’ve seen blown transmissions, and over heating issues. Back in the early 80's my older brother had a Jeep CJ7, lightly used and affordable. It had an AMC V-8, sorry I can't remember the displacement of it, I was just a kid. It was red with a full roll bar and black soft top. Manual transmission and good tires for suitable off roading. He took me off roading a few times and because it had torque over horsepower it went everywhere we wanted to go. He had a winch on it if it did get stuck. But who the Hell needs a big Hemi V-8 in a Jeep?

those lifted jeeps with toothpick axles. I cant believe the tire wear these jeeps go through because the axles flex/bend because they have oversized rubber hanging on the miniature knuckles. people dont even re-gear their turd buckets so they take off like a slug.
u can get a used hellcat in the 40s now.. brand new ones should be in 50-60k range insane
