Bought a brand new 2020 Ram 1500 4x4 crew cab Big Horn. It was hard loaded to the max except for the pano sunroof. Every other option available for the Big Horn trim was on it, with the off-road group. It cost $53,610 in 2020. A new 2024 Ram optioned out just like my truck is north of $65,000 without a Hemi!!! Hell to the NOPE!!!

With the 3.92 I typically got 21 to 22 mpg back and forth to my shop. Varied with temp, driving condition, and what you're carrying. It's in your driving style, and load. If you drive like an idiot, mpg is going to drop fast. We drove from NW PA to Dayton OH, got 26 mpg. I picked up a 900 lb air compressor in the bed. The trip back I got 15 mpg on the same route. Same with towing my tractor loader around. About 15 mpg. On a trip, once you hit 70 mph on the interstate, the mpg dropped to 20 mpg. Another owner with the same rear axle ratio said the same.

Years ago I was getting 30 mpg highway with a 350 Chevy V8 in a Buick Roadmaster with a few mods that I did myself. I don’t know why they are going to these small turbo engines that really don’t get much better gas mileage or has the durability. They could put in a naturally aspirated V6 in many vehicles that still will be durable.

Stellantis' problem in a nut shell are no more Hemi's; hybrids that no one wants and that may catch fire, and high prices. I bought a new 2023 Wrangler Willys with a manual transmission last year. I went to put an aftermarket skid plate on and discovered that the dealer removed the Jeep's OEM transmission skid plate as part of protocol for a clutch recall. Oh, and I forgot to mention the dealer tacked on a $299 fee for window etching which I never wanted or requested!

2023 model Means it was likely produced in 2022 and has been sitting on the lot for 2 years. If you buy that make sure they replace all 4 tires (flat spots), drain fuel tank if bad fuel, replace all suspension bushings and pay no more than 70% msrp and only 0% interest.
I don't mind paying 75k+ for a truck because I need the towing power. Unfortunately Dodge went full EPA-tard. So now they have poor quality body and chassis but also gutless under powered, overly complex engines. I have a 1998 and 2005 2500 both with a 5.9, piece of trash trucks but the engines are dependable workhorses.
