FORD WTF You Thinking…$124k Why?

- In this video, we are going to walk around a Ford dealership and discuss some of the difficulty times Ford is having right now from a dealership standpoint, and as a company standpoint, they’re both struggling and prices are higher than ever at Ford dealerships
$124,000 for a Raptor, “Black Ops” package, or any F-150!?!?
Just get the penile enlargement surgery; it probably costs much less.
😂
Omg 😂😂😂
A Raptor passed me the other week. Not a spec of dirt on it.
No Rich person is this dumb. Broke people are
😂
I rather put $124k down payment for the house 10 years later it worth millions dollars. For the car 10 years later it worth nothing.
So…….why are you putting money into a wife, she will become worthless in 15 years and mad as hell not including that rough wall worn face 👺
Exactly!!!!!!!!!
Correct, but dealers used car lot still try to sell it for 47,000.00
Ten years later? The truck will be worth nothing ten days later. 😂
Amen
If I had over a $100k to spend on a car, it sure wouldn't be on a Ford lmao
I would get a few used cars instead, a Lotus Elise, few old Japanese K cars, few vintage American cars
Agreed!!!
The Ford GT is a magnificent supercar.
I'll get another economy car and save that
The people buying these don’t actually have 100k to spend. They are financing them and paying an incredibly high monthly payment on them. As a car salesmen, I rarely sell a car to somebody who has the cash to pay for it straight up and frankly I don’t want to. Financing is better for both me the seller and the buyer. Pay it off completely in 6 months, doesn’t matter to me, but if someone thinks they’re going to make my day by paying cash in full they are 100% wrong and I’m going to charge them more for the car. That’s right I will literally raise the price once I learn they want to pay in full.
This is my new favorite genre of UA-cam video, random guy walking around with a camera and no production ranting about whatever he’s passionate about
Same here. My hatred for dealerships only fuels this new found passion of this genre of videos lol

Top notch content.
Better than crap on most TV networks these days.
I’m a photographer for a ford dealership and I’ve seen cars that have been here for 2-1/2 years and are still over MSRP. And a lot of these cars are lemons right off the lot
Cars are not a investment they're a liability.

🤣 I hear FORD IS OFFER A F150 BBC PACKAGE! WITH a special 12" BBC shifter! 🤣. For a girthy price tag of $250K. Comes with special MaDINGO stickers on tailgates and fenders.
clown show is RIGHT
I thought you were exaggerating, but then thought that this has been stored outside for a year and a half so yes, half the sticker price seems about right.
Even if I won millions in the lottery, I still wouldn’t be stupid enough to buy a vehicle for that much !!
And if I did... It certainly would not be a pickup.
You’ll never win the lottery because you’re too smart to a buy a lottery ticket ;)
yep, because when you do that, it keeps things messed up. When people just stop buying in to this, it will end or the company will.
Yeah you would

I've always found it sad that literally 90% of men around my area drive a super expensive pickup truck that 85% of them have never even put anything in the bed. I'm all for bringing back those solid 90s pickups that had utility in mind. Maybe I'm lost, but I don't need to drive a vehicle the size of a small house to feel good about myself. That's what a family and internal happiness is for.
I remember when pickups were the cheapest vehicles on any dealership lot. I have a 95 Nissan small truck (which no one sells anymore) that is still going strong. No air conditioning, no radio, no rear bumper; and it cost $5900 new.
This isn't just a Ford issue. Most industries don't make anything affordable anymore. The housing industry is completely upside down.
Ya it's hideous
Yep, houses in my area have tripled in the past few years.
It's rediculous
That's why we all should stop voting for Democrats. They screw up everything they touch and make it more expensive. Prove me wrong.
By design. How else will you get in the pod... they want you to _beg_ for it. So they can grant your desire to live as a a slave (In all but name, so you're never the wiser).
The last choice every free person makes is to give up their freedom for security, comfort, or convenience. You never get it back. Not without great cost. A cost that might be paid by your loved ones.... You know what they say about "sins of the fathers."
These car makers are so out of touch with the common man. What a clown show!
They aren't out of touch; they know exactly what they are doing - less cars + higher price + idiot US buyers = PROFIT
While I totally agree that prices are ridiculous these days, Raptors are not for the common man, never were

I tried to buy a Bronco for two years. Ford played games with being able to get a manual, a Sasquatch, and then a two-door. Then, the new model year was introduced, and the price went way up. Then, they played new games with allocations, limited what packages you could install on certain trim levels, there were supply issues, and dealer markups were bonkers. Then, the next model year came out. They increased prices to insane levels and dropped the base model. I gave up and bought a Jeep in one day. I couldn't be happier.

@@boci11 Lexus is just Toyota but upgraded to a level not available at Toyota. Ugly / not ugly is a matter of opinion. The original spindle grille didn't transfer well to larger Lexus cars and SUVs but the new RX looks a lot better than the new Rav4, pretty much everyone agrees on that.
The bronco raptor looks like someone put some universal Chinese widebody kits off of ebay. I couldn't believe how ugly it was the first time I saw it in person
Chinese EVs are cheap, good quality and more innovative these days

Chinese car manufacturers dominate Euro NCAP crash tests, signaling new era in automotive safety
December 21, 2023
In 2023, the Euro NCAP put 17 new models through its stringent tests, with 9 out of these models originating from China. The large number of Chinese models included in these tests demonstrates the significant growth of Chinese automakers in Europe, making this year unparalleled in the history. It is likely that this trend will continue in the coming years. Another sign of changing times: the majority of the models tested were not gas-powered. Interestingly, one of the tested models was from Vietnam - the Vinfast VF8.
So, how did the Chinese cars perform? They all earned a high score of five stars. The honor for European manufacturers was upheld by the Volkswagen ID.7, which achieved the highest percentage score - meeting 88.2 percent of Euro NCAP's safety requirements. However, the Nio ET5 achieved an equally outstanding overall rating.

Soo happy the consumer is fighting back and not succumbing to the ridiculous prices of the big three. I will be under my 2018 truck today touching up any rust. My goal is to run my truck up to 250,000 miles and if and when I need another truck it will be a used one ! 👍👍👍
It’s a reliability concern all the way around for me. I have a 21 f150 xlt 4x4, it’s not used for off roading, I have a 6x10 utility trailer I pull from time to time that doesn’t even come close to the max towing capacity, and I just recently had to have my transmission rebuilt!!! 53,000 miles on a truck I paid $53,000 for and I’ve already had to have the transmission removed and rebuilt, absolutely ridiculous. I do have the 5.0 and basic tech package because I wanted reliability when I bought it, but that hasn’t been the case unfortunately. Also, with these insane prices you only get a 60,000 mile power train warranty…with these prices you should get a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper, but ford knows they aren’t building anything that won’t have issues.
I wouldn’t pay over $20,000 for any of these vehicles. Not when you can buy used for $10,000 or so for something with low miles that’s only a few years old.
In what state or place are you? I want to move there!
@@Tayy Ohio! The land of the miserable!
In 2010, A brand new Silverado 4 door Texas edition was about 31k. 5.3 v8
I live in a small town in Indiana, there are literally Hundreds of F150's sitting on a big lot, it grows by the day. It might be an overflow lot but it is scary
What most people don't realize about EV batteries is they have a shelf life, whether you use them or not. The time clock starts ticking the day the battery is made. If that EV sits for a year on the lot, that's a whole year earlier its going to fail on you from degradation as the owner. EV's are great, but I would only lease one, because they become scrap after 8-10 years. An ICE vehicle could sit for 25 years, and with very little work and money, it will start right up.
cheers, esp older cars, old Mercedes always started for example.
Paid $30k for my 2018 Silverado with 60k miles on it 2 years ago. A V8 with 60k with the bells and whistles.. this is pure junk they’re selling! And the worst part, people buy it!!! Even if I had F-U money this isn’t worth it
It’s all about making big profits for the shareholders, $138,000 for a 2023 f350, ford is going down
What was ford thinking 🤔
One word……………. GREED
The CEO’s need 10 mansions and 4-8 yachts a piece
While there workers who actually do all the work can live in single wide trailers and drive chevys and be poor
The GREEDY are gonna be in a warm place next life 🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥so they better enjoy this short little life😏😏
Eventually to move expensive over priced vehicles, big rebates help. The older the vehicle, the bigger the rebate. Those that gouge, will lose sales. Many corporations taking advantage of the situation caused by the Covid lockdown, and mark up prices making record profits. Any company caught doing this, should be called out publically for consumers to make better choices.
There should be laws and penalties for these criminals. All corporations are guilty of this.
High prices aside, looking at those grey skies reminds me of why I left Chicago and moved to Florida where the sun shines all day and the margaritas flow all night.
And the humidity melts your brain cells.
I watch this posting, and I'm reminded of a quote by Warren Buffett, the 3rd richest person in the U.S..... he owns Berkshire Hathaway investment company. His quote: "if something is likely to go up in value, I buy it. If its likely to go down in value I lease it." Ford, its dealer body, and customers need to think in terms of leasing. NOW, retail customers quite often get stung with big lease end penalties for exceeding the lease's mileage calculations. I spent 34 years in the auto and industrial equipment sales and leasing business, and the thing that dealers do, in order to get the lowest payment is to structure the lease for 10,000 miles per year. That's 30,000 miles in 3 years. Quite often customers will drive 35-40,000 miles or more in those three years, which then results in the big lease end charge. Just be honest with yourself, what is likely to be the actual mileage at the end of 3 years.? Structure the lease to be what you actually use the car, and at lease end you will be approximately even. Leases have payments down to a lease end value, whereas purchase payments go down to -0-. Lease payments are much less than retail purchase payments, and are negotiable. So, start out with a dealer that his markup for "dealer extras" is by the boards. Take the window sticker and deduct at least 5%, THEN lease with a realistic mileage usage for the three years. With the way the factories and dealers are going wild with window sticker numbers, this is the only way to come out even.
Id build a car myself from a breaker yard before paying even half of that.
Moving a human body on a roadway safely in NO WAY justifies that cost. Good luck to them pursuing wealthy customers. Thats not me.
BTW I dont consider a car that has sat in the elements for two years to be a new car.
Top trims shouldn’t be above 50k let alone the base models. This dealers and brands have lost their minds.
Lol..will continue driving my 2004 Buick...cars and trucks today are waaaaay too expensive
I drive a tow truck and almost 2 years ago I started seeing these "Broncos" in the back lots as trade ins at many other brand dealerships. I have even seen a few at no name 20 to 30 car car lots. Sad to be a Ford Bronco owner!
You: "What were you thinking?"
Them: *_"That you will own nothing..."_* Your right to travel is immaterial if you can't afford to travel at all.
Try getting a F150 2 door with a decent interior. They no longer make that. The 2 door is only available in the ‘work truck’ model. I just want a 2 door with a decent interior for my back and a 6 foot bed. I don’t need anything bigger. No crew or extended cab please.
If Ford sold such a truck at a reasonable price it would sell.
They do make them. Only in Mexico .
For my current truck I looked for a used single cab long box with 4X4 and cruise control. It was not an easy truck to find. I believe I spent almost a month looking.
