I just ordered the journal!! I had a closing where I had almost 30 entries! And I thought that there has to be a better way of doing this. And then I see that there is away!! Thank you!!!
Can you share a completed pdf loan document so we can download as new signing agents ? It would be so helpful of course with fake names and addresses . Having at least the completed documents for the 5 main loans would be super helpful
Hey Saanika First: I would like to thank you for taking the time to share on how you process these appointments. Secondly: Thank you for creating /designing the Multiple doc-Notarial Log Book. I just ordered myself one. I have a question for the log. To avoid/prevent the record for it, can I highlight the (just the 1st & 2nd column) so I can make sure I got to them??
Then I would silently judge them, hide my laughter, and tell them they can sign all the blank documents when I leave and if they need me to witness their signatures in case they have to prove to themselves that they are the ones who signed those documents, then I will send them an invoice with my signing fee.
I've watched several signing videos but im confused on the journal now. You're the first to mention you have to journal EACH signature in a loan packet.. whereas others only do one entry per signing appointment.. Could you explain more on that?
It is sad that this vital information is glazed over in most trainings and many notaries are not aware of this. In case you get called to court for one of the documents during one 'closing' and you had not recorded it in the journal, would you remember if you did or did not ntoarize that document for that signer at that closing? This is the very reason I created the notary journal for LSAs. Please refer to this article for clarification in this rule. www.nationalnotary.org/notary-bulletin/blog/2015/12/how-many-signatures-for-journal-entry
Every document you notarize needs to be recorded in your journal for each person who signed. Try the notary journal I designed with checkboxes and document names to save time entering each document manually. a.co/d/aYVk9F8
Thank you so much for this live! I just became commissioned and these make me feel alot better about my first signing. Do you think you could do a mock journal video? Does the client have to sign in the journal more than once since they'll have multiple entries?
Yes technically they have to sign each entry but lots of notaries just draw a line across all the entries and let the signers sign at the bottom of the line. Not sure if that's ok. That is why the journal I designed has only one signature spot for all entries. Also in TX, the signers are not required to sign your journal but I always get them to sign and they don't object.
I prefer to take pics inside the signing platform app. This way I do not have to remember to upload it there and then delete it from my phone and the cloud, etc.
Hello, I hope you can help me understand? My question is if it’s six dollars for the seal and you spend an hour with the person minus possibly all those copies of paper you made folders etc. I was curious how much can you actually charge for your 20 minute drive or however long it takes minus your mileage of course so would it be you know if you live 2 miles away? Would it be say six dollars +6 dollars mileage and then you spent an hour in so many minutes for $12. I’m just curious, so I really don’t know so I was hoping you could shed some light for me? I would be most appreciative if you were one of your followers could help me understand that portion. I love your videos, and I thank you so much for the education you’re giving me❤
Didn't get the chance to see the ending of the video, if you have more jurats or acknowledgments, how do you mark your journal? do you have to list the name of the document you are administering>
I am not sure I understand your question. We record every notarized document in the journal for each person signing the document. in a traditional journal, you will make one entry per document per signer. In the journal I showed you, it will be one entry for the redundant info like signer name, address, date, etc, and then you check A for acknowledgement and J for jurat by the pre printed name of the documents.
In the loan packet you are sent by the title company, you will see the notarial certificates, which contain the notarial wording and notary signature. Those are the docs you are required to notarize or stamp.
@@SPNotarySigningAgent is there any way you can make a mock video for this as well? I don’t have an issue understanding the paperwork the ones that need to be signed but I have yet to find a video showing more or less which sheets will be notarized.
The signing service where you get the assignment. If you got the assignment through Snapdocs, you will log in and go to the order and click upload files and use the camera to take a picture.
I mentioned notary gadget to keep all my signings in order. When I get a signing it syncs to notary gadget which syncs to my calendar. In TX and in most state we are required to keep a notary journal to record all the notarizations performed. We do keep those records in the journal.

Are you scanning all documents to title plus shipping them?
Shipping them for sure but not all title companies will request scanbacks. That is an additional service that they have to pay for.
Wish that journal was acceptable in California

So if you make a mistake can you write over or white out?
You can cross it out, initial, and write in the correction. That said, if I can avoid doing that, I will.

Correct!
Are they required to sign the copies as well?
No, the copy is for them to keep and does not need to be signed.

Not for CA. Please check your states guidelines before ordering any journal.

You didn't get a thumb print is that needed ?
Depends on your state. Our's does not have that requirement.
For California (where I live) thumb prints are required. Every states are different.
Does escrow send the documents with instructions on what needs to be notarized? Like which pages?
Each document that needs to be notarized will have notary wording and a space to sign your name and stamp.
I have this big loan docs book. Do I have to read them all, it’s the difference loan application? Thanks for the video❤
No, you are not required to read the loan documents. You job is to be a witness to the signatures.
Thank you 😊
