    I would definitely love to see you paint up all the other minis from Tiny Epic Dungeons, got the game myself not so long ago and trying to find a way to paint them up and stumbled upon this vid and the channel.

    I am bout to start on my painting journey. I have watched a bunch of videos and understand the basic concepts. I have Tiny Epic Dungeons and Marvel United. Can you suggest paints, sets, or any combination for me to get started with? I was looking at the starter speed paint set and maybe some other basic colors and a couple washes. Can you please help me with this or better maybe make a video on what paints to start with?

    I'm currently painting these mini's as well. I'm using the Army Painter basic beginner set of paints. They don't look anything like this one, but I'm just starting with the painting mini's hobby. I'd love to see all of the mini's painted from this game... it is an awesome game, too. Thanks for the video

    I agree 100% that speedpaint works best over the GW contrast primer. I really hope AP comes out with a better primer with a slightly satin finish.

    Really only started with miniatures around the beginning of the year while I did have some mouthpiece figures for D&D from last century but they just have been sitting waiting for me to do something with them.

    • @charleslatora5750
      @charleslatora5750 2 роки тому

      I have been for most of the last 40 years and off I have been a hex and counter guy.
      Fist Full of Lead rules have made playing with miniatures so much easier than old D&D and I'm talking first edition. Started with craft paints just to see if this really was something I was going to enjoy doing i.e painting badly but for me my figures are good enough. So I bought the army painter washes and I've got the beginner set of speed paints coming in the mail.
      Saving a box of Wrath of Kings figures for the speed paints. Time to try and step up my game a bit.

    This is great! I just got the game and have the Speedpaints en route, so I'm really excited to use them. I can understand why you didn't want to do the eyes on camera, but would you mind at least describing the technique and what colors you used for this particular model? Your stuff is really inspiring, thanks!!

    • @WatchItPaintIt
      @WatchItPaintIt  2 роки тому

      Ah sorry! I forget not everyone has seen every video. On bigger models I cover how I do the eyes more :) basically will be white for his eye balls, a colour dot in the centre for his iris, black smaller dot for his pupil and then I’ll have got my magnifying glasses out for the worlds smallest spec of white inside the top of the pupil like it’s a light reflection

    Love watching your videos they make painting feel like fun again (and not something that "must be done").
    Did comment this on another video you did (I'm a couple of videos behind) but have you tried speedpaints with quickshade?

    • @WatchItPaintIt
      @WatchItPaintIt  2 роки тому

      Glad to hear you’re enjoying them! I’ve not tried them with quickshade yet as the Speedpaint does that work without needing a wash. But I’m painting something very subtly at the moment, lots of Speedpaint layers with tons of medium, could be a use case for a little bit of wash in places

    Great tutorial! Do you find that you have to use the matte varnish over speed paints before using standard acrylics? Or is it possible just to skip that step? I've had some bad experiences with spray varnish in a humid environment.

    • @WatchItPaintIt
      @WatchItPaintIt  2 роки тому +1

      I get away without the varnish most the time but I wouldn’t advise it. I’m lucky and I’ve seen others have huge issues with reactivation. Sadly think you need that step :(

    There are some more pictures on the KS page.

    • @Rabool
      @Rabool 2 роки тому +1

      If you got the collectors version with the extra hero’s/minis and you have a 3D filament printer there are a couple great storage solutions on Thingaverse for all game content in the main box and the minis in the expansion box. I printed them up and they fit perfectly. Got 1/2 the minis painted so far. My 1st 2 painted, to get started playing, were the dwarf and wizard. Good stuff.
