If you are looking for views, your best shot is to paint up Space Marines or Cursed City. But, that said, I've watched all of your Speed Paint videos this far and have appreciated your enthusiasm the most!
40k is probably best for views. Personally I would love to see you painting some Malifaux. But in the end it doesn't matter so mutch. Technics can be demonstrated on anything.

This looks really good in my opinion, it's quick and simple.
I would want to see this stuff on a 40k chaos space marine.
It's a popular range that's just had new stuff announced, and I think given the trip, weapon and bone details that speedpaint would get it's best chance to shine

I love your enthusiasm about these paints. If you have any Ankh minis those might be awesome to try with these paints. I have been told that my use of contrast on some of my latest minis (ankh) are not doing them justice.
I'm really loving these videos so far, It's definitely convinced me to invest in some SpeedPaints, the only thing I'm unsure of is whether to get the starter set or to wait for the larger set.
I'd be really interested to see what speed paint looks like over different undercoats. I know ArmyPainter and other companies do primers in Brown, Grey and other colours, would be an interesting experiment. I personally like to prime in dark brown and then use a zenithal layer of white ink, I'd love to see what SpeedPaint would look like over that.
I'd also be really interested as to what speed paint is like when put in an airbrush, would be great to see a larger miniature like a tank or dragon painted with speed paints in that way.

A Marvel Crisis Protocol mini would be great for this
Tyranids would also be great options, or the One Page Rules "totally not tyranids" if you 3D print. Those models are awesome
And if you're up for it, would love to see these going over a quick dry brush underpainting
About the skin, it's Looking more on the yellowish side.
But overall, really nice for tabletop standard

I'm sure everybody want to see if speed paints work well on smooth surfaces of Astartes' power armor. Genestalers or orks from warhammer are also a good bet. Those who play horde armies need speedpaints the most.
Also, I think that speedpaining fire (using fetches from fireteam zero, for example) is a topic people might find interesting.
Anything Warhammer will get the views, however I think painting obscure independent mini brands is more interesting content.
Nice! Well done model. Have you tried painting a model and then using the speed paint or contrast paints as a wash? I haven't but I'd like to see what happens.

Consider too, many people these days are playing virtual. On video, this paint job is virtually indistinguishable from one taking several hours. Great job.

Painting the Forest Dragon from Mini Monster Mayhem would give you an opportunity to really show off a lot of these paints. And it's a really cool model. I would also like to see how these work through an airbrush.
Really great video, I've shared with my friends who love Zombicide to get them excited for painting with speed paints. I'd love to see how the speed paints fare on models with flatter areas such as the Marvel United Heroes or Renegade's Power Rangers miniatures if you have them!

I do have Marvel United - in fact I painted Hulk last night but I’m painting them in a very different style :-( with all the models I have you’d think I could spare one to try but it’ll make me twitch that it’s painted differently :-D :-D I’ll see if I have a nice Arcadia Quest model to try out - same Chibi style!
I've had good luck with the yellow on the one battletech mech I've done with it. I'm moving over to Speedpaints entirely for those, though my method is a bit more complex, as I do Speedpaint/contrast over white then a yellow drybrush over to fix panel pools/add edge highlights. I got an infinity starter box to do some more in-depth experiments with, though, combining speed paints and more traditional applications.
These are absolutely perfect for the budget conscious, busy hobbyist. I strongly believe that thee's no such thing as "cheating", just doing as much as your time, money, and energy allow. I remember trying to get into 40k with a few necrons, but getting really discouraged by just how much of my time ittook next to my busy schedule. I think this might be what I use to try and get into blood bowl next time the local league starts up.

As for the miniature that will give you more views, I would bet on one of the big Warhammer ones you assembled recently.
Just put in title "New Army Painters Paints how quickly can I paint -name of Warhammer miniature-" or "These new paints make this huge miniature seem small!" or something like that.

Tiny point, but I'd have given a light application of blood to the sole of his foot, as he'd likely be stepping in the gore he leaves in his wake.
Would love to see the new heroquest skeletons painted with these paints. Just curious how they will turn out
I wanted that SO bad but it cost so much for shipping. We do have a copy of the original HQ though :) Still has my character sheets in the box from 30 years ago.

I've taken to doing a matt varnish after washing to get rid of the shinyness. I think Speed paints will need a similar application, especially on that purple.
I did a matte varnish too before I applied the blood. I don’t mind a little shine but I think as I like to varnish to protect my miniatures it makes sense to dull the shine
Man that purple is great (Looking at you Thanos and Galactus from Marvel Zombicide) - I'm a lazy man; so I appreciate I can just buy a whole set of these in one box and have them all instead of getting them one at a time like Contrast Paint when my small local gaming store has it in stock
I do hope Army Painter come out with a good light cool grey spray primer. I think the speed/contrast come out a little too aggressive over white. Too much variation from the recess to the highlight on some colors. That is why you had to do a second coat on the skin.
Get a feeling that you could get the skkn under better control by just thinning the mix a bit and apply it more carefully with the brush. Just a case of several thin coats to control contrast :)
You can do recent/latest GW for pure hits or follow rule of cool. I appreciate Zombicide because it is different from what many others paint.
Just for fun, maybe some Fallout and Skyrim minis? Frostgrave? That aliens boardgame or similar minis heavy games for unique content.
very cool video! I think a fun and popular model to paint could Gale Force 9's D&D Minsc and Boo! It's the same model that come with's Army Painter's D&D Adventurer's and unlike their other paint sets, Minsc isn't an exclusive! retails for around $10 USD from amazon. merry christmas and happy holidays!!!

I'm not much of a painter and haven't used contrast paints at all, but I'm very interested in this line of paints. I am curious what would happen if you put on 2 coats of this instead of one?
If it's anything like contrast paints it can jack up your first application. Some contrast paints are more forgiving than others though and you can get neat effects by going over one color with another or a shade paint on top of contrast.
From other reviews, it just darkens the color. Be sure one coat is dry before applying the next, as usual.
If you want a "click bait " mini may I suggest a Cursed City one. Now that GW is reprinting the board game a lot of people are probably interested in the minis and how to paint them.

Thanks for these showcasing the Speedpaints, really enjoying it. Would suggest a few bog standard Primaris space marines. Get to showcase the other colours and we can see better how these paints do on flat surfaces (like legs). Maybe on each mini can do half with one coat and the other half with a couple coats. Cheers

Noob question but what would happen if you added a tone/wash over the top afterwards? Would it enhance or muddy it?

can you paint the eyeball with speedpaint? or for the details, normal paint is a must?
You’ll need normal paint. If you were a god and could some how not get skin on the eye. You’d still want a black for the pupil. I’d recommend just grabbing a black and white of normal :) also. You could just not do the eyes if you don’t care but it’s often a small bit of detail that really finishes off your work
Still not convinced with contrast paints at all, they are too "dirty" on my opinion, good video btw!
They give a god base but flatter surfaces need a bit of cleanup. I allso think they look better on a zenithal undercoat.

Painting a Space Marine would get the most views. Most popular faction in the most popular game. Plus, we all know that Contrast/Speed Paint works great on textured surfaces, but the big question mark in everyone's mind is how will Speed Paint perform on the smooth surface of power armour.

Is it me or it looks very shiny overall?
Maybe the lighting? Or the gloss from the blood? I put matte varnish on to protect the miniature so it should look pretty dull! It does in real life :O
