This is a really interesting video. I am actually uploading a video on my psychology UA-cam channel today about morning routines and think these two videos align quite well. That concept of waking up consistently at the same time each day is really vital! Thanks for this.

It is very hard to stay consistent and do same things everyday. You start to feel your life going away, and you start questioning yourself does this thing you do worth it, and it never does.

I work at different times everyday. I'd love to follow this advice but it's simply not possible. I've gone into work at all sorts of hours (4am, 730, 9, 12, 230pm, 7pm). I just make sure to stay as stress free as possible and I set aside 9 hours for sleep, although I usually only get 7-8.

Probably nothing. You know there's nothing else to do but study but you're still here. So you're probably going to do nothing. You're going to waste a bunch of more time, and maybe study a little, but nowhere near enough. If you're a smart kid and your exams are easy (most exams are), you'll probably pass too, maybe with flying colours. And that will just reinforce the feeling in your head that you can get by without working hard, and you'll continue to be this way. Until one day, when you finally come across a challenge that matters to you enough, and is difficult enough that you can't get by just on your intelligence. And then, you'll truly regret every decision you've ever made in your life. :(

Dopamin evidence that water is better than food before waking? The best evidence is experimenting on yourself wherever possible. Drink half a litre upon waking every morning and see for yourself since it's low risk and borderline common sense. Reading studies for every decision gets us too inside the head.
