Hello! I very rarely comment on UA-cam but I just wanted to say this was a fantastic video to watch, very direct, engaging and easy to follow. The humor was appreciated as well, please keep up the great work!
Ablation went great. 😀 The procedure was rather simple leaving me with a bandaid over the incision. Overnight stay in the hospital then sent home. No recovery issues form surgery. I have been doing annual CT scans since to keep an eye on it with the doctor. No growth at the ablation site. Also the biopsy they did of the growth taken during the ablation procedure came back as benign; not cancer. Only bad thing is that there is another growth in another area that was very small at the time that has now grown and is becoming another concern. But it too is a slow-growing mass which tends to suggest non-cancerous as well. Doctor suggests a biopsy on it, but I have been delaying playing the odds that it's not cancer due to the slow growing nature. This additional growth is in a location that they can not ablate as it would impact the kidney function so the only thing they could do for it is to remove the kidney. And since the kidney is functioning fine, I definitely would not want that until much later in life if it gets big enough to cause problems. So honestly, just planning on staying the "wait and see" mode for hopfefully the next 10+ years following up with CT scans and only doing something when kidney issues are imminent or apparent. By that time, I will likely be over 70 years old and would be more open to living with only one kidney after having to have this one removed due to the mass and issues of kidney function.
@@davidrollins8474 I hope you good luck with your kidney. It is of course bad luck to have this sickness, but hey, from what I get it, the growth is slow, and you most likely will outlive any deterioration.
I had this procedure in 2018, been in remission 4 and and a half years, now it’s back in adrenal gland and pancreas, hope found early enough now on tablets and Infusion treatment
hi, i want to know about "Covidien Cool Tip RF Ablation System" which have neuromodulation? or "Covidien Cool Tip RF Ablation System e series " has neuromodulation or not ? plz reply thanks
Hello, I’ve been wondering if there have been minimally invasive methods used to treat women with cyst that cause severe periods. Any material you have would be appreciated. Thank you !
I've never heard it used for fibrosed tissues. I'm afraid It could possibly even make it worse. (scarring after RFA). Was talking to a DC buddy of mine from the gym this week and and was bragging about a new device that he has in his office for extrcorporeal shock wave therapy. Uses the same technology they've used to breakup kidney stones for years. Delivers a focused high energy shock wave to the injured tissues. He claims he's had great success treating unrelenting pain in the joints and soft tissues of high performance athletes. Don't know anything about it myself but may be worth a look...
I was honored to have a role in developing RFA for solid tumors at UC Davis.
That’s awesome!!

+Richard Hanna I agree! Look forward seeing more videos.
Getting ablation done in the morning. Comforting to see the video to understand better what to expect. Thanks for posting.
David Rollins how are you feeling now?
Update?
How are you now? Did it work 100%?

0:46 May I know the reason why the patient took 2 CT scans at 2008 and 2010. Did the patient have any symptoms?
I'm not 100% positive but I would assume it was performed to ensure that the mass was effectively treated and hadn't recurred.

It worked beautifully for me
Where was your tumor and where did you have it done?
One ablation did it for you? Any further complications?
Great video! Thank you!
They had me at the curvy needles.
Hi. Thank you for your video, Could I ask why RFA chooses around 400 to 500 kHz and why it must be AC current? Thank you!

Very nice video
Is it mutagenic
Pourquoi cette technique ne franchit-elle pas les frontières ??
Je ne sais pas. Utilisez-vous la cryoablation?

Did this procedure it works for uterus fibrom
It theoretically could but we have better ways to treat fibroids such as uterine artery embolization.
