Most of these songs were made during the recording of toxicity and were later leaked as Toxicity 2, so they just decided to mix the songs and call the album Steal This Album! Pretty sure they also didn't promote this album in any way.
You should listen to their last two albums, Mesmerize and Hypnotize back to back. They're on the shorter side and meant to be two different halves of an album. It's a huge change in their sound compared to Toxicity and Steal This Album! The band went on a 5 year hiatus after it even though that era considered the height of their career, having topped number 1 on both those album releases back to back, something that hasn't been done since the beetles afaik
You said that you like toxicity more which is a completely fine take lol, this album is usually considered their worst which says a lot because it’s still a fantastic album, enjoyed the reaction and glad to see you back
Appreciated the callout to the "stop pausing" people❤ I watch reactions for just that - the reaction itself. The original content exists for any and all who want it uninterrupted
I said this during the premiere but I highly highly highly recommend either White Pony from Deftones or Aenima from Tool. Also I just want to say that your reactions are actually some of my favorite videos to watch on the internet and I never skip through them unlike other reactions. Upload more bro! And don’t worry about negative comments or view count.
just a heads up.. that the higher pitched vocals is mostly Daron Malakian , the guitarist , he is harmonizing with Serj , in the last two albums after this one , he sings a lot more and even has a song with his vocals on lead.. he has also written and composed most of these songs...
Hey no worries. Ill do more live events. I dont post a lot but if you turn notifications on you wont miss the next one. I truly appreciate you watching.
I cant wait for you to react to mezmerize and hypnotize which are the albums where the back up singer (daron) is put more into the front and the way serj and daron harmonize is beautiful
Well, regarding the documentary, I watched this video (ua-cam.com/video/LwUjQebcTRg/v-deo.htmlsi=aJaaTlh3IbfzBudH) a couple of years ago and it shed some light on Serj and SOAD history/background as well as some cool analysis on the band trajectory and evolution prior to its hiatus/dissolution.
Answering your question, there is a documentary that the members of the band System Of A Down participated in, they are of Armenian descent and the documentary called "Screamers" talks about the Armenian Genocide in 1945 and it is what the band sings most in their songs. The documentary is complete on UA-cam, it's not difficult to find it.
I get most peoples take on this album but it still stands as my favorite. It was the album out when my buddy showed em to me between 7th and 8th grade. Bubbles. Boom. A.D.D. Mr Jack. Highway Song...just soo many songs that hold special places in my soul.
early 2000s, the album got its name since there was an uprise in leaks and pirating their music, to the point where almost the entire album was leaked with demos almost a year early, and so they paid homage to people being SO NEEDY for the new album, and thats how it got it's name
I really like your videos, stop as much as you want😅 I started liking you even more when you used a swear word in the first 7 min of the video... If you would have done that after 9 minutes i would have been furious. But under 7 min swearing is awesome ✌🏻

I definitely saw commercials for Innervision.

Just because every album actually is a piece of gem
It’s considered their worst? Lmao that’s news to me 😂 some of the members claim it their their fav or at least up there
@@romaretaylor9953 I think it's mainly just because it doesn't have many iconic System of a Down songs like the other albums do
im so glad people are still discovering this masterpiece of an album. good reaction bro
Thank you!

omg omg omg finally!!! i love your full album reactions, please, hurry up with the next one!!!
Oh its live and I missed it 😅...
If you don't know the singers family is middle eastern so that's where his vocal arsenal comes from

I would also recommend Serj's solo albums.
And Daron Malakian (the guitarist and backup vocals) is lead vocals for the band Scars On Broadway.
which ones? I didnt know he had some
@@kw1ll1sreacts Definitely "Elect The Dead" (2007); maybe "Harakiri" (2012)

Whats your favorite song from this album?🤔
For me it is Nüguns or Fuck the System.
Innervision or Streamline
Streamline lol
Aaaa Streamline likely

Steal this album! is a mixed bag, there's bangers like Innervision, Highway Song and Streamline and other cool songs but half of it is meh.
