I really enjoy your use of coloured paper and resin, but it always seems to be a rainbow of colours. Not that I'm complaining, they always look stunning, but maybe consider using tonal variety of colours for specific projects. Just a suggestion of course. Like using oranges, browns, tans, yellows together with a rust coloured resin. :)

Ok, now you have drawn me in. I just got finished watching the bowl that was done out of fabric, I was wondering if your tools would be sharp enough to go through the threads. I saw that you stopped to sharpen one of the tools. Now a bowl to go along with the napkin or magazine holder that I watched a few days ago. Your next big feat will be, what to do with all the resin and other shavings that fly and wrap around your lathe, so you can save your part of the planet. Lol! Still fascinated watching your work, where do you get your ideas? 🤔 I kinda liked the matte finish.
For design: I like how there is a gradient of color use from dense to airy from bottom to top--having a foot reinforces that. When the bowl came out of the pot, I liked how there were flashes of the turquoise paper, but they disappeared after turning. For video production: There were 3 times when the speed of the lathe looked magical--that the bowl was spinning and looked in slow motion. Hard to explain. It was cool.
I love that bowl! I'm all about colours and this is awesome! Love, love, love the thumbnail too! You should stick that in resin and turn it. That would be spectacular!
When you held up the handful of shavings, it got me wondering if you'd ever tried setting the shavings from a project in resin to make a "recycled" bowl. Maybe the logistics wouldn't work, but it was a fun thought.
Has anyone ever made a resin pour/ turning video with all SHAVINGS?! Like imagine you took all of the shavings, put them in a bucket and did a pour with that. Would love to see that!
@@JackMackWoodturning I really like these pieces and it amazed me that anything would actually come from that creation of materials. To me if it’s just to hard to work with I’d try some new methods of materials and see where that takes you! I can say that I do like the epoxy finish shine on the surface of artwork!

I do enjoy to bake. I think a simple lemon drizzle cake with custard is likely my favourite. Although I am partial to a sticky toffee pud. I do make a nice banana and toffee loaf too.

This is beautiful Jack.
Thanks S! Very much appreciated. Good to see you as always. I’m trying to decide if it is a fruit bowl or a cereal bowl. What you think?
すごく鮮やかな作品ですね。
Many Thanks. Where are you watching from?
@@JackMackWoodturning
I'm from Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Shikoku, Japan.
BEAUTIFUL 👩🏻🏫👏🏻😻🤩🥰‼️
Thank you! Cheers! Where are you watching from?

I love this. The clear resin looks nice.
Thanks molly? Do you think it’s better than the one with black resin ?
@@JackMackWoodturning Yes, I do. I know the colors really pop against a black background, but the clear gives it a very different appearance. Mainly because you can see the actual shapes of the chunks.
Oh… And I’m from the San Francisco Bay Area in California. I love your work, BTW.
Love these!! Stunning bowl!
I also remember the incredible "teardrop" shape you made.
Thanks Patti. I love the teardrop one. It’s in the shelf in my sons bedroom and still looks beautiful

Beautiful bowl. Lovely design ❤
Thanks maddie. What would you use it for ?
@@JackMackWoodturning good question, resin pieces are difficult to determine the use. I would have to display it as a piece of art. ❤️

The bassets bowl, reminds me of liquorice all sorts 😂 great looking piece
Ok, now you have drawn me in. I just got finished watching the bowl that was done out of fabric, I was wondering if your tools would be sharp enough to go through the threads. I saw that you stopped to sharpen one of the tools. Now a bowl to go along with the napkin or magazine holder that I watched a few days ago. Your next big feat will be, what to do with all the resin and other shavings that fly and wrap around your lathe, so you can save your part of the planet. Lol! Still fascinated watching your work, where do you get your ideas? 🤔 I kinda liked the matte finish.

WOW!
Beautiful Jack. Just love the colours. 💥👏💥
Thanks Sue. Good weekend planned?
@@JackMackWoodturning Potting up plants, hopefully.
Perfect weather for a spot of gardening. Do you grow vegetables?
@@JackMackWoodturning No, only flowers. I rent, so not much room for anything else.
The cutting of the material is the only thing that I can confidently say rivals the sound of that of the aztec death whistle.
So glad you enjoyed it.. I really like your review. I keep them coming 😊👍🏻
Precioso. 👍👍

Haha. That’s m glad to have inspired you.. we’re they tasty ?
I love that bowl! I'm all about colours and this is awesome! Love, love, love the thumbnail too! You should stick that in resin and turn it. That would be spectacular!
Haha thank you. Iv got the land for the pieces from the thumbnail.. watch this space.. I think it’s going to be the best one yet 😉
When you held up the handful of shavings, it got me wondering if you'd ever tried setting the shavings from a project in resin to make a "recycled" bowl. Maybe the logistics wouldn't work, but it was a fun thought.
I have indeed!

That’s really cool 😎! I remember when you used this kind of of construction paper pattern before to make an art piece.
Thanks. Yes it’s a really awesome material but it’s awful to work with. I think this was my final one. Or would you like to see more ?
@@JackMackWoodturning I really like these pieces and it amazed me that anything would actually come from that creation of materials. To me if it’s just to hard to work with I’d try some new methods of materials and see where that takes you! I can say that I do like the epoxy finish shine on the surface of artwork!

This is the most interesting resin piece you have done. Those pieces suspended in the resin blew my mind. That is one thing, about you Jack. I never know what you are going to come up with. I also like that you push past typical turning I have seen and are not afraid to take chances. Great work brother, looking forward to more!

Was it the crystal clear aspect of the resin that you enjoyed??
@@JackMackWoodturning yes, and how the prices look like the were floating that was really cool
@@JackMackWoodturning Hey man, I was thinking, and yes that is normally dangerous, what if you used the same resin on this project, but instead of wood cubes or hardened paper. Use the wood shavings. I think that may be cool.
