I really like carnivore, but dislike the social aspect. I cringe when someone says they are vegan and expect to be accommodated. I don’t ever want to be that person!! What I do at restaurants is not stress over the oil my steak is cooked in, and order double steamed broccoli, and no dessert. Next meal, I’m back on carnivore. Won’t work for everyone, but keeps the peace in my family.

my girlfriend is vegan so keto works easier as I can bake keto friendly bread at home for us and eat green veggies that she loves.

I'm only 3 weeks into carnivore, but I see me already doing the same. It's actually a luxury to have so many keto options to fall back on in a pinch when the family eats out. A lot of restaurants here have decent keto menu sections, but except for the steakhouse and the BBQ joint, it's much more limited for carnivore. Eating keto occasionally is way better than going back to regular food or pissing off the wife on family night.

Yes. I am 69 and 2 yrs into carnivore, but started with keto. This is an excellent overall coverage especially as AI Ankylosing Spondylitis has plagued me previous to my self healing research with folks like you. I didn't know your wife, Nurse Niesha had her own UA-cam channel. I look forward to learning from Neisha an informed & experienced female AI sufferer whose healed her AI. Weight has never been an issue but good gut elimination has been; Carnivore resolved that but now with fiddling to add in a carb for my addiction to flavour I'm back at square one with it. hence my return. Ciao folks. You are a great educational Team.

I tried to switch my diet to a carnivore diet and I tried to tell my dad why and I addressed all the issues with my skin and low energy levels. He took it completely personal and started screaming at me I'm still switching I'm tired of being ignored and having to suffer from it I just can't take it anymore. Programming from fda, usda, big ag controlled by whomever$$.
Need to do something with all that fruit , grain, and veg that no other country will take. Food pyramid is what I grew up with. Now i learn from real peoples experience not a diagram or medical "pro" that is also tested on set programming. Life experience and the work people put in is what I want to follow. I'm sick of my food addiction to garbage bc I love a good steak! Was vegetarian , vegan and was sooooo hungry all the time told all the negatives of meat..so I was eating fillers not doing what my protein and fat body/brain need! Today is day 1 for me.. cheers to better health! Thank you for your time and research..

I’m from Victoria 😷 in 🦘 and was doing Carnivore but got bored with it. I used to do Keto (seizures) before I switched and have gone back to Keto. Both ways of eating helped me immensely. I don’t eat much anymore, never thought I’d get to this state where food and its addictions don’t rule my life. I chop and change, one week Keto, the next Carnivore, OMAD. deckerdax Thank you very much for your inquiry. Yes, I used a restrictive Ketogenic Diet in conjunction with adjuvant therapies. What was astounding to the medical staff was the clearly understood link between dietary glucose and cancer cells via a PET scan. If your friend has not had one, please research it. The patient is advised to follow a Ketogenic Diet for 24 to 72 hours before they arrive for the scan. They are given a bolus of glucose containing a radioactive tracer via IV then they are asked to rest or nap for 45 minutes in a dark room to reduce sensory intake. Afterward, they are quickly escorted to the scanning room. I had the “head-to-toe” (actually, to the knee) which took 3 hours to complete but the usual is “head-to-hip”. The scan results show glowing balls of light wherever the cancer cells are located throughout the body. The tumors steal the glucose from the brain (usually the first recipient) and thrive to metastasize to organs and bone marrow.
I stayed STRICT Keto but did sometimes consume more protein than 15% of my daily intake.
I was prescribed six (6) rounds of taxol therapy followed by a full DMX then 28 rounds of radiation.
I received four sounds of chemo as after the fourth, I’d developed Stage 2 Neuropathy in my extremities. Never received another dose. Tumors began to shrink and disappear altogether.
Bilateral DMX and vivisection revealed the 20+ tumors in my chest and lymph nodes in the right side of my body were “all dead scar tissue”. (My surgeon began crying while he read the pathology report to me the following morning.)
Keto and a Meat-Heavy Keto Diet helped me with fast and full wound healing that was followed closely, the Wound Clinic Director requesting to take photos, as he’d never seen wounds heal so quickly. (He later admitted that even with his clinic’s hyperbaric chamber and use of Wound Vacuum systems, when I asked what percentile of his patients were diabetic, he said, “99%.”)
I was prescribed 28 rounds of radiation. At 25, my oncologist asked me if I would like to speak with their legal department as I should have not received so many as after she’d reviewed my DMX pathology report and subsequent PET scan, “there was no evidence of disease”.
      Anywhere.
I was in shock but I let it go.

      A. Walker I recommend removing from your home anything that has carbs - sugar, grains including pasta, bread, cereal, oats, anything more than 5 ingredients. Read labels and remove the temptation. Also get rid of corn and starchy root veggies and vegetable oils. Olive oil, bacon grease and lard could be used to cook with. Full fat hard cheeses (not velveeta) are good for most people. Up your fat with grass fed butter like Kerrygold, plenty of eggs. Season good meats and eggs and enjoy them without guilt. Leave the skin on the chicken and eat the dark meat. Or make white meat but add butter and heavy whipping cream as a sauce. Don’t eat often and don’t snack between meals. When you do eat, eat to a satiated feeling. The sugar cravings should go away. Another book I recommend is Anyway You Can by Dr Annette Bosworth. ~Steph

New Jersey checking in. This month marks 2 years keto with a slow transition into carnivore. In our area, ALDI stores are a great meat source. Their Black Angus ribeyes are the best kept secret ... cut an inch thick, well marbled and average well over a pound each. Plus they're all individually vacuum sealed so they can go straight to the freezer. They do offer a strip steak which is slightly smaller that is very good as well. Are they on par with a local butcher ? No, but they blow away virtually all of the chain big supermarket offerings. I currently have about 15 of them in my freezer : D

My 25 yr old daughter is a carbaholic , over weight, you name it, she keeps asking me if I want a coke or some ice cream, etc.. when I tell her “no thanks “ and stick to that I can tell shes wowed by the fact that Im serious and loosing weight.. I never nag her or say much about it but shes watching.. So you are showing discipline by actions not words and that’s always a great thing to do... @angelluisf7730 4 роки тому

@@imaalias2162 yes, you have to be careful with the brand you pick. There are still a bunch that are reliable. Olive ranch is one of the few that seem to be the real thing, and it's still relatively affordable. Imported brands are harder to control. It's a shame you can't just know that you are buying what you think you are buying.
Edit: by the way, normally extra virgin olive oil is cut with lower quality olive oil (which is obviously easier to get by the olive oil industry). So even if cut, it is definitely not as bad as all those vegetable oils.

My A1C went from 8.3 in April to 6.8 a couple weeks ago. I'm watching what I eat and trying to pretty much follow the Carnivore diet. I do have a tendency to want to munch on something at night though. I try eating things like cucumber slices and celery (with peanutbutter) and a lot of times some cheese. After roughly 2 months now, I'm down about 20 pounds with about another 70 to go.
I try to eat just one meal a day, but like I said, most nights I want something to munch on at night. That's probably not speeding up the weight loss, but when you're over 300#, it's pretty rough to go hungry.

I am now a CarnivoreKetoer ... I love the fact now that I have total control - eat when hungry, fast when I fancy. Next I am going to cut out coffee to see how my body reacts. Loving eating a steak and crisping the fat on it everyday. Rarely hungry, loads of energy. I suffered from poor health for 20 years ... I was slim but had so many issues from clumsiness, brain fog, mental confusion, joint aches, flatulence, acid reflux, memory loss, heart palpatations, chronic fatigue, mood swings, depression and anxiety began in my mid 40s, UTis, Vulvodynia, menopause symptoms all gone. I just wish everyone knew how easy it was to get back your health.
I save so much money being Carnivore - I have sourced really cheap steaks that are fabulous - I salt them for an hour ... to tenderise - now eating some steak daily raw but I pour all the fat from the steak over the meat and eat in small pieces with a tiny piece of crispy fat ... very yummy. I also eat lots of lambs liver with streaky bacon and I make home made bone broth. Basically now just beef.
Sadly I believe doctors made me sick by treating me with anti biotics and the UTIs I suffered were from eating a high oxalate diet - I juiced three large glasses every day of celery, carrots, beetroot, turmeric. I ate an entire bag or two of steamed spinach daily for 10 years, I ate dark chocolate, sweet potatoes - my entire way of eating was OXALATES. I love Sally K Norton she has made me now realise that sadly it was my eating that destroyed me.

I have half a tsp of honey in heavy cream whipped with pink salt every day or so. Cashews (just a handful) again not every day, coffee (black in the morning to suppress my appetite and bulletproof every night to tip the ketosis balance and fast for 14-22 hours a day (OMAD if I don’t get too hungry) but at the most 1.5 meals a day. The rest is meat, water and salt.
Works for me. My wife is the same and she’s lost 3st 8lbs since lockdown. We both feel great.
Honey is way more natural and ancestral than say fructose, dextrose, sucrose or refined glucose to consume and only a gateway if you have no will power. I swapped having the occasional alcoholic drink and a pizza once a week for a tiny bit of honey.
My advice. If you don’t need anything sweet in your diet, if you’re happy with all savoury then don’t bother with honey, maybe for you it could be a gateway to other stuff but if you are simply unhappy without the occasional sweet fix then on that occasion honey isn’t breaking every rule in the book as long as you keep your overall carbs under 25-28g.

My doctor wanted to put me on insulin, but I said I wanted to try something natural first, having seen your video, "How to Prevent, Treat, and Reverse Type 2 Diabetes". In 14 days, I dropped from 338 with14.4 A1c to pre-diabetic level. Within 2 months, I had achieved 7 consecutive days in normal range. KETO was easy for me with no problems whatsoever, perhaps because my sister told me about electrolytes. After 1 year on OMAD KETO, I started experimenting with a sort-of Carnivore diet. (I kept tea, stevia, and nuts.) Difficult, 4 month transition. After 1 year, I am trying to reintroduce a few vegetables, but is not going well. Although belly was first to melt away, I still had a small, round belly after 1 yr KETO. I believe it is bigger again, after a year on Sorta-Carnivore. Lowest weight was 110; now 120-122. Highest was 165 or 167. It had already begun to drop with diabetes, but this was never my focus. I never tried to loose weight, just get my blood sugar numbers under control. I do, very much, enjoy a smaller, lighter body, though, and a new wardrobe! Continually have some gas (rarely smelly), am now always on verge of constipation, occasional diarrhea, sometimes acidic. This is why I am pulling back from ACV and HCL. Sauerkraut also seems to make things worse. Am very careful selecting vitamins and supplements, especially watching out for "other ingredients". Have switched some to sublingual variety. Would like eventually to ween off of all, but do not trust digestion and believe some are keeping neuropathy away. Still, sometimes have internal tremors in legs, slight edema in legs and much more in eyes. I now feel and hear the soft sound of my gut, moving and working all the time. Am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Was relieved to hear you and Dr Bikman talking about how A1c may creep up, because of red blood cells living longer.

Whenever I buy grass fed beef from Wal-Mart, it always lasts longer in the fridge than the grass fed beef from my local Sprouts market, regardless of the expiration date. This would leave me to believe the Wal-Mart supplier sneaks some additive or preservative in there. It doesn't say on the package.

    • @ivermec-tin666

I would suspect irradiation in the Walmart supply chain, if you have this same experience from grocery stores as from Sprouts. The alternate option is that Sprouts is not maintaining optimal temperatures; which would be surprising, as this is something that Walmart is renowned for (not in the coolers, but between the loading dock and the cooler, 20 minutes is supposed to be the outer limit...).
The FDA, in all it's wisdom, does not require the labeling of irradiation on foods or spices.

You're onto something. Walmart has a notorious history of running all their meat through 'salination' tanks, whereby they inject preservation fluids directly into the meat so that it remains fresh-looking longer.

Some meat markets add Red 40 dye, which keeps meat red longer and makes us think it is fresh. My dad told me this as he was a meat cutter. When working for someone that would tell him he needed to do this, he refused. He actually told them the best way to do it, is put a sale on the meat and people would buy and you would have a bigger turn around in selling of meat. It worked great. So be careful with meat. You can usually tell if it’s got red dye when you cook it. You will see lots of red color which you think is blood, but it not. It’s actually red color. Just take you spatula and set it down on a napkin after you press the blood out of your burger, the red dye will show bid time on you paper towel and will remain red. Blood turns brown as it gets heated in the skillet. I’ve actually seen it stay red for a longer while while it’s frying in the pan.

You can easily make your own clean beef jerky at home using a dehydrator. Cut thin slices of beef, season with clean spices and a vinegar like apple cider, malt, balsamic, etc leave it to sit in this mix for a few hours then into the dehydrator until dried to your liking. I’m South Africa this is called biltong but this is the cheats way of making it.

Ketovoire here. I went to my doctor in February and was prediabetic. Numbers off the chart. I asked her for nutritional help. She literally said she had nothing. Put me on a statin. I researched healthy diets and landed on keto. I then started intermittent fasting as well. Even ADF which I loved. So far I’m down 40 lbs. I’m 63 and sedentary. Never felt better! I want off this statin! I have never been on any meds before and do not like taking it. No sugar, no ‘battered fried foods’ very little cheese or dairy. Why do I need to take statins? Can I just stop taking them since I am a strong ketovoire now?

Please watch what Dr. Berry says about statins in his videos.
The only thing I would like to add is that with medications you need to slowly wean yourself off them.
So when you do quit statins don't go cold turkey.
One week half the dose. Next week quarter dose. Etc.

I recently saw a "keto" cereal at the grocery store. It had 14 grams of carbohydrates total (9 grams fiber, 5 grams not fiber) for 3/8 cup cereal. 3/8?!?! That isn't even 1/2 a cup. Who gets full on less than 1/2 cup? Then there would be carbs from adding milk. I didn't buy it.

You two are such a great team. I have been mostly keto, no veggies, for about 10 months. Recently I started intermittent fasting for first 16 hours daily, then 18, then 20 & now for 5 days did 24 hours. Dinner is meat & a glass of good milk, so under 20 grams of carbs from that. I decided to have a feast day once every week or 10 days & did so today. I had sweets--coffee with cream & coconut sugar, then chocolate cake with ice cream & tonight after dinner I'll have blueberry pie & ice cream. So in this video you did partly answer what I was wondering. I know it doesn't contribute to my health but wonder if by going back to one meal a day the rest of the time if my insulin will stay good. I'm at about 24% body fat & would like to lose a few pounds to be at my ideal. I have not been to a doctor for 40 years (am 68), have done my own healing with nutrition, herbs, self-acupressure, etc. I had my big, healthy babies at home. So I'm a little different. In the early 80s I did the Fats Goldberg diet with my friend so she could lose weight, which was to eat the best you know how all week & then have a fun food day with whatever you love. At first we went crazy with sweets, but after a few weeks we were over it & would usually just have one treat that day, which is what I figure will happen now. So this is food for thought for people who are trying different ways of eating. Thanks for all your advice! My order of Keto Chow Daily Minerals came today--yay. Edit to add that I have drunk milk my whole life. Now it's raw, organic, Brown Swiss/Jersey/Guernsey, pasture raised a few miles away on our lush, year-round Kauai pastures. I could happily drink a few big glasses every day, but now don't because of the carbs. The cream for my coffee this morning was taken from the top of a jar of this--mmmmm. OMG--cute baby!

59 started Keto a year ago and lost 40 lbs. Didn't start Keto to lose that much it just happened. I was just trying to eat healthily and lose my beer gut. According to my "last" doctor, I wasn't insulin sensitive and did not have any kind of diabetic issues. Throughout the years I have been very lucky not to have any health issues. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and the weight loss and lower inflammation have helped quite a bit. Time will tell if I'm still on course for knee replacement but I believe I have pushed that way back. Haven't needed a cortisone shot in over a year. For now, I'm Ketovore. I still enjoy salad and select veggies, nuts, and berries. My "new" Doctor who understands Keto Lifestyle did an Inbody scan and I was at 12% body fat and Level 4 visceral. he claims "he" has never seen someone with a visceral # that low before. May have just been a moral booster LOL. I wish I had done the scan before starting to see the difference. My biggest problem is trying to determine who to believe about eating. You can find whatever answer you want here on UA-cam for or against a particular food or lifestyle. So it can get confusing. I agree with eating whichever way makes you happy and keeps you healthy as you need to be. Dr. Berry, I wish we were closer, I'd love to have you as my doctor. Thanks for all your information. Look forward to learning more.

Also, I see the cycle of having the healthy foods/meals ready for after the physical activity.

The key takeaway, particularly as we get older : keep those carbs low, low, low along with good Animal protein macros(veg protein is incomplete). My local doctor sat there nodding her head as I spoke about my low carb diet (and oh by the way, my labs are outstanding, and not on any medications).
