It's so hard to see 15k in that burnt pile of ZR1!
Agreed.
Unless you're in the part out business I bet it's hard for you to see how alot of things are done.
@@angelcelis9090 you would be correct!
@@angelcelis9090these are the same people who think a clean title actually means the car hasn't been crashed lol.
15k? that should be free
Pro tip soak the heat wrap before removing, also helps when installing water doesnt let the fibers turn to dust reeking havoc on skin on top of breathing it in
That’s a solid tip!
This dude ain't about fixing anything .. btw , what demon build .. it's non existent
Yep. I’ve found working with the really brittle wrap, mix in a bunch of “ baby magic baby bath” keeps it wet longer and makes it easier on the skin, as well as keeping it from going airborne for much longer.
@matttafakt no doubt that's what got me here
@@scraplifegarage Wear like 300000 masks too. Glass in the lungs is fucked man. Trust me, I know from experience. I got away clean tho.
We need some more Copart walk arounds!!!! I try to watch other channels do it but it's just not the same. 🥇
Austin and I are going to try to hit an auction next week!
Yeah! Can’t wait! It’s been too long.
@@scraplifegarage when u or comein back up to NY You only got the one co part There's another 1 about 10 to 15 minutes away from the other one
You spelled Dalt wrong.
Hi, I love cars and I love salvage auctions! I just found your channel and I know I’m gonna be binge watching it! I love watching cars being repaired. I used to watch my dad when I was a little girl and he used to say, where’s your brother he’s the one that supposed to be watching me not you. Lol I’m still watching and my brother still isn’t but I’m glad I found your channel.
hes right that's why i love your videos and there's big money in salvage cars epically high end cars like this and like you said about buy parts a few years ago and now there double or triple the price love the videos bro keep them coming :)
You probably could have found a buyer for that heat exchanger pump. Most likely easy to rebuild
Most of the newer HX Pumps need to have fluid head pressure before they'll turn on. You need to connect it to a garden hose and get water flowing through it then turn on the power and see if it starts up.
Excellent content, I thought the car was just toasted, with nothing left! Great stuff thanks 🙏
Bro, first time watcher and i would like to say bravo on some of your projects. I could never buy that vette for that money and NOT knowing what the real pay check looks like LOL… Much props to you. Watching some of your other vids and you get a hand 👏
Very interesting , love to see the process . You & your bro are good businessmen
I remember before y'all blew up commenting on the cammed uncamned yellow Z06 lol the good ole days you guys are killn it now keep up the awesome work and content...
great video and great outcome Lee....well down mate...good call, you clearly know your stuff 👍👍
I installed a Katech remote bleeder on my ZR1 without removing anything. My hand and forearm were small enough but it wasn't pleasant. I sleeved the line beginning to end with a DEI heat sleeve, 500 degrees direct touch protection, 2000 degrees radiant! Kept it as far away from heat sources as possible.
So intrigued by not only what you do but by how efficient you are. I’d love to do something similar here in Oklahoma. Keep up the Scrap life!
You guys are amazingly talented and looks like you have fun doing it - even if no money made sometimes! Keep up the good work!
THE BEST SCRAP VIDEO IVE SEEN ,GOOD WORK GUYS
Just discovered this channel this week, have done nothing but binge work, at home and at work 😂. I love it, keep up the great work fella!
Also would love to see that join button so I can help support the channel and continue this premium content (what you do would be my drean job). Also extra bonus content for members would be dope, such short videos of cost breakdowns for stuff you order that you dont have laying around, and even the stuff you salvage and sell to recoup costs.
Welcome to the party!
I upload stuff like that when I can on @leec my side channel!
I would make a table for my shed out of the rim that's trashed, which would make an awesome addition to the things I have collected over the years
Great video as always! Love the Fernando cammed chop clip 😂.
Great video... your very professional when speaking... fun to watch the way you explain...
The salvage content just feels like you get my hopes up for something cool and dash those hopes to pieces.....pieces and pieces of car 😉. I like seeing them go back together not taken apart.
It’s really not worth it unfortunately especially when a lot of it is rusted
He does do it ur just watching the wrong video
@@cappalott6646 I know, I was mostly being silly, but also loudly hinting at them doing more build videos instead of pull apart vids. 😊
I’d like to see you get back together and taken apart 😂 pause
First time watching and am hooked! R32 or 33, NSX, or RX7(pain in the ass but maybe lucky)... cool and good insight. You should have a link to buy parts!🎉🎉
Oh man, got me all into this worried about the cylinders 😅. Nice buy man!
I must be crazy! I love corvettes so much I like burnt ones also. Great video guys. One day im gonna come see you.
This is an interesting show. I just started watching and i cant believe you could get 13 out of that. Im happy for tou tho. It would take a huge set take that risk. Way to go.
Once again awesome video. Who do you guys normally use for shipping? You mentioned $400 from Georgia?
26:30 Soak your aluminum parts in Pine-Sol for a couple days... you'll be amazed!
Test it out on one of your unusable parts, it'll look brand new.
15:30 "I cant feel the shaft, but i can feel the knob" had me DEAD hahahahahahaha
Most recent odometer reading for this car was 38,453 as of 11/08/2022 per Carfax.
Thank you for sharing this awesome content
The front burnt wheel turn it into a table , glass top , money right there 👍
I had an 84 Corvette that caught fire almost exactly in the same location on the driver side.
The thing that made it worse was the valve covers were made of magnesium.
You know...to save 4-oz when you have a 3400 pound car.
Weight reduction bro
I love the content, great work.
I think I found a video of the same zr1 when it got the cam, headers, and the Pulleys on UA-cam
I recently just got a 2008 zo6 with no drive train or motor , and need that trans , diff and torque tube!
Bro, I literally felt the itching at 15:05
Also, love the Buc-ees gear. 🤘🏼
man that purple Porsche @0.35 looks so good.
Sounds like a Country song I can feel the knob not the shaft 😂😂.
I had to laugh when you said "if you get these knobs in black anodized it's $56,000. That's a down payment on a house.". Lol Amelia. I forgot you're in Cali. I'm in Ohio. My 3 bedroom house was $34,000. So maybe $560 would be a down payment here. Lol.
After a forensic examination we can neither confirm nor deny if this was a Chevrolet or even a ZR1. It appears the car was an Autobot that got murdered about 1,000 years ago on some distant planet.
I understand ranking each of the salvage jobs by profit dollars, but for me, I would rank the salvage jobs by percent return on invested capital. For example, the mustang returned $13.3k on a $8.4K investment. That's approximately 157% return on the $8.4k investment. Whereas, the corvette salvage only yielded an 88.5% return on the investment. Different ways of looking at it. Not saying one way is better than another, just different. I'm sure there are other things to consider, as well. For instance, the difficulty in salvaging the parts and how long it took to sell the salvaged parts. I'm sure there are other things involved that you may want to share. Btw, thanks for the content. It's informative and entertaining.
Agree. Although, if we are looking for alternatives, you could also price it based on TOTAL labor hours. (He only counts garage hours)
“I can’t feel the shaft but I can feel the knob”🥴🤣🤣🤣
am i the only one whos initial thought was "of course you did" when reading the title of the video?
👀
That burnt side caliper a good rebuild kit to replace the seals and it would still be ok.
You guys kick ass and Lets go American Muscle top spots!!
About cams what do you recommend for my C5 I want it to sound bad as
"We couldn't get the cluster to power on for some reason" 😂😂😂
My clutch basket was pretty rusted when I pulled it. Probably would sand a bit and clear coat, should be fine.
That cam sound clip🔥🔥🔥😍🤣
Good video as always
Hey man what did you do with the burned demon engine that was in decent condition? Will it be reused for the demon?
every time i think i took on a project that is too big for me, i come watch this channel and it gives me hope.
This is why car prices never go down smh.
Especially deep pockets like scrap life jeans have.... that looks like garbage if worth 3 figures?
What an idiotic take.
That LS9 would look great in my 71 Pontiac Lemans GT-37!
love your channel, just by your attitude
Question I have, what did you start with back in the day? 300 beaters?
Love these videos of you guys giving the cars or their parts a second life 🦾 I've always been interested in right to repair and solving issues in the car part market! Seriously inspiring stuff ❤
I hope when the parts are listed on Ebay you tell the buyer it was in a fire before they find out when bearings fly out from being boiled and stuff is warped
Save that gem, it's super rare, such a sick car...1 of a kind parts, Great job
Try to find a crashed LS1 Fbody, they've almost tripled in value since covid and the parts are getting a lot harder to find, especially for the Trans Am Firebird
Saw a cobra in white salvage tittle but outside looked so clean but wasn’t sure what happened but airbags did deploy and never got the car even tho it was dirt cheap 10k
Brooooo...!!! Amazing car ❤ que paso con el demon 😢 ayer mire el video del rx7 😮
Ya viene en camino este mes sale video👍
That Power Steering pump and bracket available?
nice work guys
great video thanks
How many burn cars will you buy?
Him: Yes
With the demon, on most Mopars coolant enters the oil pan when it sits so the oil sits on top of coolant/ water, and i remember the demon being sealed all though burned.
I got to say my favorite color is red but it blacked out like that is insane. It looks so good sinister
What harmonic balance remover tool did you use ?
*37:00** Hey, I'm late to the game... how much is disposal cost for the trash leftover? Burnt body, tires, etc? I didn't hear that mixed in.*
You guys need a dry ice machine to clean up some of those parts like removing the rust off that clutch!
I reckon it had a flex fuel sensor on it, fitting leaked and up she went.
Do you have a dealer license or do you strictly do for the no license required cars on copart?
Hey buddy that car has a vegence racing performance pack stage 2 on it look it up theres vids on everything your looking at your deff right that car is a money maker 👌
Lunch lol , he's fired 😂😅😂
Great video
It takes 1220 degrees to melt aluminum. That's insane how hot that got to melt that frame away like that.
Dammit. I need to keep a sharper eye on your website. C6ZR1 gearsets can still be obtained by my dealership but the gearset alone OEM is like $2500 at an employee price.
He can't feel the shaft, but he can feel the knob. 😂😂 @ approx 15min34sec. 😂😂
*_You want a new number one on the board thats an import... go get a salvage BMW F80/G80 - F82/G82 M3/4!_*
*_Your heads will spin with how expensive the parts are!_* *_(It is truly unbelievable!)_*
You should invest into a vapor hone you can make all those burnt parts look new again
when jacking up one end of car it folds in half then squishes down into the jack type of next project? the bolts are all perm-ah-rusted and one brakes 4 wrenches trying...
MAAAAAAAA I LOVE THIS CHANNELLLLLLLLLLLL
I’m sure that burned shifter could sell, what a cool shifter haha
That same zr1 has a Dino video on vengeance racing UA-cam channel it made 637whp and 635tq
When Fernando backed it out on the forklift. It went from 0-6 in 2.3 seconds :-)
"I can feel the knob but I can't feel the Shaft" Hellafunny like a MoFo.
Thing was sent to the sun, he's like yeah ill take that one.
Can someone explain the purpose of a torque tube?? I get the purpose of the transaxle for packaging and weight distribution.. but why isn't there juss a driveshaft connecting them??? Is it stronger or what!?!?! Thx!!
Yep, stronger and "connects" the car properly for rigidity and support. Lessens axles hop and reduces vibrations in the rear driveline.
OK, what did you make on the scrap aluminum?
Thank you for doing what you do. Please destroy more 997.2 turbos lol
Vapor blasting is pretty good at rust
Try it out I've seen some surprising results
Great job.
Not fun doing a fire car. Glad you made out OK,
Been doing the same thing, buying, fixing, parting out cars for a long time. Usually can make 100% profit if you know what you market is.
You can't make 100% profit, because you had costs.
You are not understanding what profit means.
Im usually not impressed by allot of things but its pretty cool how all the resin burned away and left the carbon fiber mat, its honestly crazy how tough carbon fiber is.
NOT good for use on submarines !
@@maxs.5905 lol, i was gonna say Titan was tough enough.
time is more worth than $$$$ you coob not pay mee enough 2 doo this!!!!nuff-said...LOL
I love your videos
Use the power washer to cut the header exhaust wrap off. No dust.
My neighbor bought a z06 c6 for 4k at copart and only had front tire damage upper frame
need a dry ice blaster and it will make burnt parts look like new.
