  • In certain sections of The Shift pattern by Andrea Mowry, you break your background color and add a new color in what seems like a funny place for a yarn switch. This video explains how this move keeps you in the established knitting pattern, and sets up your new background yarn color for that next section.

    Thank you so much for explaining section 4. I am on that section now and couldn’t figure out where color a b and c were being used. I was only seeing color a and c used. That makes more sense that it really is a and c and the last row is color b to set up for section 5. Thank you. ❤
    By the way I am a fellow Mainer. I’m definitely south of you though. Lol. In Lyman Maine. Glad to see a Mainer with a podcast and have begun to follow. Thank you again and happy knitting 🥰😁
