A wonderful idea to knit in a more budget price yarn. Spin cycle is very expensive in New Zealand.

Ultra Alpaca is my favorite! I love the purply mauves. I used Ultra Alpaca for a shawl a few years ago and I cannot find it anywhere. I recently bought more in the blueberry colorway to make another. My first one was green...I haven't given up hope. LOL Wherever it is I hope its being loved.
I have this pattern but haven’t made it yet because I wasn’t sure what yarn to use. Thank you for this less expensive yarn suggestion!

I have the pattern and am using lion brand shawl in a ball. I like both colors but I like the grey the best.
