Thank you! I would love to visit Everstoke and build some fun features with you. I just watched Eric build a nice big whale tail. Looks like a lot of fun.
So sick dude, best one yet!!! did you wire up a cable cam for those last couple shots? Also the masking transitions were next level. Def takings some inspo from this one!
Cheers Jaron! Yeah, there's a couple of cable cam shots in there. So good for chase cams! The masking takes a while in after effects but at speed it doesn't need to be too accurate.
Did you sit Aggie up there at the start?! Stayed so well ... Classic! Your B-Roll has improved no-end since the start of the series and love that you're adding some motion tracking in post, adds a "bit of spice" to the edit 😉 (Just got to the flames from your hand part too! Unreal!) Actually shouldn't have bothered writing this comment through watching because man, everything about the filming and edit boosted this video. So many nice in camera and post transitions, heaps of motion tracking and animations just on a whole other level to your early stuff. I imagine it took you some time though! This feature looks unreal as always. I'm impressed by your wood working skills and the effort you clearly put in to make it all slot together so seamlessly. Shattered I'm up to the last released episode next 😑
She was sniffing around the base of it when I started filming so I put her up and told her to stay. You will notice throughout the videos that she really enjoys sitting up on the features or in the fresh dirt. Most of the time she does it all her self. Love that you picked up on all the extra work I put into this video. It sure does take a lot of time. That edit was about 30 hours work. My wood working skills have come along way in the last couple of months. And I don't really have much experience since highschool. I just watch a bunch of other trail building videos and pick up things along the way.
You have some really nice shots that would have taken a lot of effort to do. Were you using cable cams or drones or something, cause I was having trouble figuring out how you were doing those shots? (Edit: never mind, I found you were using follow cams) The trail is looking awesome!!
It was actually a mix of cable cams, follow cams on chest mount and then me running down the fill chasing my mate. Coolest shots are with my cable cam. It's a little remote control one perfect for the GoPro.
I am literally building a trail with a very similar setup and had planned on a jump. I am going to make it a drop instead. Thanks, you saved me quite a bit of work.
Cheers dude! That is awesome to hear. It's lots of hard work putting the videos together by myself but it's all worth it when I read nice comments like yours. Thank you!
Sick video mate your trails really coming together. But I watched all your videos and I think you need to add some berms. Anyways love the channel and keep shredding
Thanks Max! Stoked you checked out the channel. I agree with you, the trail definetly needs some big berms to rip around. There is a section between the stump drop and the boner log that I have skipped over for now, I am keen to get back up there and build some bigger berms and make it flow better. Just waiting on the mini excavator to get fixed.
Thanks for watching. This is all built on private property so they won't be open to the public. But as the channel grows I would love to be able to build some public trails that are very similar. Thats a goal of mine.
Hey man, hey sub here. I ride fixed gear in the city so fun seeing a different world of biking! Sick trail build so far. One thought I had, would the bridge become a bit slippy with rain and the gully underneath it? Would be bad news for your front wheel to slip from under you on the g force transfer. Sick vids X
Very cool that you come from a different biking world and can still enjoy my content. You should give mountain biking a go. It's a lot of fun. I haven't had any issues riding it while it's been wet. It's dry 99% of the time, so slime doesn't build up on the wood making it slippery. The rough cut with the chainsaw also aids in grip. The creek underneath only has water in it after heavy rainfall (which was pretty much all summer haha, but that was definitely not the norm). Eucalyptus wood is also naturally high in oil which makes it pretty rot resistant. I haven't had any issues with it being slippery yet but it is definitely something to monitor over time. If it does get a bit slippery there are a few things I can do to help with grip. Stuff like chicken wire and I have also read that bicarb soda (I think it was that from memory but I would definitely have to do some research before giving it a try) can help. Thanks for watching!
@@cutlaps we do have a place called Sugarbag Rd at Caloundra. Loads of wooden features built by a local guy. A few here and there on other trails. Your trails remind me of the trails in BC. It's a dream ofine to ride there in British Columbia one day 🤙

I'm a bit nervous to build the skinny. I don't have any experience riding them and this one has a 2 - 3 metre drop into the creek on either side haha. It will be good though. Adds a bit of variety to the trail. The flat turn above the Boner Log from last episode will be a berm. I has planned on keeping the flat turn before the gold digger as a way to manage riders speed, but that was when it was going to be a jump over the log. Now too much speed isn't an issue so I may add a small berm which will make the gold digger a bit easier for less experienced riders.
