I followed along and made the hat in a couple of hours. So cute, and just perfect protecting from the summer glare! I made it in white cotton, but I am going to try making a second one using raffia ribbon. Thank you for another great pattern! ❤️
I finished this beauty about 4:00 am 😅thank you for sharing I really enjoyed making it with the 3.5 mm hook ❤ I want to make my grandkids one but I’m not sure how many rows to do on the crown of the hat, maybe leave the last row off ?? I’m gonna try it tomorrow and see if it works for me.. but I could use your advice… only if you have the time to respond.. Thanks ❤
Would a h hook work for the jasmine stitch till the end? I'm doing the same as you but it's snug or should I use a f hook and go up to a I hook for the bottom half?
A good rule of thumb is to use whatever hook gives the right tension & size. For me, if a pattern says 5 mm, I use a 6.5 mm. I use patterns more as inspiration than follow every stitch, and I frog when I notice I'm going off coarse. I have a fabric tape measure in my crochet kit and use it often
I learned a lot about the jasmine stitch. Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful pattern.

In round 5 you say 2dc in same stitch yet you are still crocheting a hdc. Which one should it be?
Sorry wrongly said. You need to do hdc only…
Hello, can you use the Jasmine stitch to make a blanket
Yes you can use
If I started out using a 4.0 hook, what size hook do I need to increase to for round 18?
You can use 5mm hook
Thank you, I appreciate your answer.
For the whole hat?
Can I use cotton yarn for this project?
Sure
Hello
Just wondered. Could i use DK yarn. Its the only yarn i have.
Yes
Hi beautiful stitch and hat but just to let you know your voice keeps fading in and out just thought you'd like to know again beautiful stitch and hat
Thank you 😊
I’m only 5inches diameter after row 7. How to make it bigger?
You just continue the row 9 pattern(after row 7).
If you want to make it smaller, how do you know how many stitches you should have for the different rows.
Either you can use small size hook or you can decrease the rows 14 to 12
But would you still have 112 single crochet when you get to that point?
How to customize this for a 6 year old?
