I’ve always wanted to make a floppy hat but most of the videos are hard to follow, you are a very good teacher, showing every step, and the hat is wonderful. Love your nails. I will follow you a lot. I’m only in the middle, but I’m sure it’s going to come out. Love you!!!
Loved this tutorial, so easy to follow for a newbie like me, knitting is my thing 😂. I will look forward to trying some more of your projects. Thankyou. Rhonda. ❤
This is the second time I have used one of your patterns. Both times, my hats came out great! Especially this last one. I can't figure out how to send you a pic. It is a floppy brimmed one. I accessorized by making a chain and weaving it around the hat, then tying a bow. You would love it!
JoAnn! You are so welcome! I’m so happy you enjoyed making them. Thank you for your sweet comment 🥰💖🌸🧶 Please send a photo to sparklyone60@gmail.com I would love to see them 👏🏻💖💖
Wow!! This is just TOO cute! I can hardly wait to start mine!❤❤❤❤❤ I have forgot where the description box is? 😢 someone kindly direct me to it ? Thank you so very much
Hi Marty! Underneath the video click on the word “more” and it will open up the description box. Click the word “more” again and it will give you the entire description. You can also email me at sparklyone60@gmail.com for a free pdf. Happy crocheting 🧶🥰
Hi Barbara, you will need to look below the video and where it says how many views there are, there is a down arrow that you can click on and it will open up the description box. Let me know if you have trouble. You can email me at sparklyone60@gmail.com and I can send you a copy of the pattern. 😍
Hi Maria...here is a link to my poncho that will fit everyone, just add a few inches to each side depending on the size you want. I wear a size (8 US size), if you want to use a size 4 yarn that would even make it larger. Happy crocheting! ua-cam.com/video/Wehf7Gdqfts/v-deo.html
I really love the tutorial it was amazing and you did a wonderful job at explaining I'm going to definitely try to make one !! One request to add to ur list you should really make a dog sweater there so cute and it would be amazing to see that in the future !! -Macy
We all have a different tension when we make anything, so moving up or down a size is often necessary. It should work out ok. Welcome to the world of crochet, you’ll love it once you get the hang of it 🧶🥰👏
Hi there. I have a question about round 5. The pattern starts with 8 stitches. Each successive round will add 8 more, making the stitch counts on each of the first 5 rounds 8-16-24-32-40. How did you end up with 45 stitches? Did I miss something? Thank you.
It’s not an exact science. Sometimes we lose count, so maybe that’s why? As long as you try it on to make sure it fits before you move onto the brim, that’s the important part. It will also stretch so keep that in mind. You don’t want to make it too big. We all crochet with different tension, too. You might have to adjust here and there with your stitch count. Hope that helps 🥰🧶
Yeah I was looking for a comment to make sure I send the only one😅 I just counted my stitches and got 40 too I got worried for a second but I’m gonna continue the pattern and see how it goes🙂
The hat does stretch, but maybe just add a few extra stitches when making the circle portion and that will make it bigger. Your counts might be off from mine, but just continue making the pattern and it should work out great. Keep me posted 🧶🥰
Hi! I want to make this one so bad because it's lovely! I'm pretty new to crocheting, how would I adjust this pattern if I used a size 2 or 3 yarn instead of size 4? :)
Here you go! Make sure you watch the end of the video where I show how to mold it into a western hat ua-cam.com/video/NM5x_exT8d4/v-deo.htmlsi=GAeAseSy9IzaEbEr
I bought the large cone of Peaches and Cream cotton yarn and I had leftover yarn when I finished. I don’t know the exact yardage that I used though. Sorry about that.
Yes. You can use either one. The paper on package recommends to use size H (5.0mm) but in this video she used a G (4.0mm). I think either size hook will be fine. Even a 4.5mm. 😊
Sometimes, depending on the country the hook was made, they can be different units of measurements. It's so confusing, but I would use the 4 mm size. The smaller the hook the tighter the weave of the hat, which is a good thing. Hope that helps. Happy crocheting!
Honestly, I've watched so many tutorials but this is the first one that made the process make sense. Thank you so much !
Thank you! That’s quite a compliment 🥰🧶
Thankyou I carnt read patterns

Hi Gloria! I. So happy you’re enjoying it! Keep me posted on your progress 💖😍
Rhonda your hat is so cute, I made a baby dress so I made this hat to go with it so cute! Have a blessed weekend 🙏 ❤️
Char! That would be adorable 🥰 These hats are so cute! Just make sure to crochet a bit tighter or go down a hook size. Keep me posted 🧶🙌🏻🌸
Love it ❤️
Thank you Grace! It’s nice to hear from you 🥰🧶
Approximately how many yards did your hat take?
I would like to.know that too
Please let me know what I've done wrong for the brim to turn out extremely wavy. The beanie portion is perfect.
We all have different yarns and different tension so you’ll need to make less increases in the beginning of making the brim. Hope that helps 🧶😀
What if the quality of the wool is not as thick as yours can I continue till I get it
Yes, you can make it with an size yarn, you just have to measure it on your head as you go along.
I like it I wish you can teach online how to croch😅
The video will show you exactly how to crochet it. Have you crocheted before?
How would you modify your hat patterns to fit a small child? 3yrs old
You can modify it as you go along, just make sure to measure it on a child's head, you don't want to too big
Great tutorial. Love the explanation of what the different stitches do to shape the hat. Thank you !What size hook did you use?
She used a G (4.0mm)

Question: can I use a 3 Weight yarn and still use a 4.5 hook. Thanks I Advance
And God Bless !!!!
I would stick to a 4 weight yarn. It will be more stiff.

Hi, I made this hat, I adore it. Thank u Yandy ❤P.S. couldn’t find 9-12 but I made it work 😅
So glad it turned out! 🥰🧶
Hi thank you for this amazing tutorial but couldn’t find the description of lines 9 - 12 do we continue increasing every 9 stitches then 10 so on ?
I really love the tutorial it was amazing and you did a wonderful job at explaining I'm going to definitely try to make one !! One request to add to ur list you should really make a dog sweater there so cute and it would be amazing to see that in the future !! -Macy
Thank you so much for you sweet comments. I’ll keep the dog sweater in mind for a future project. They are so cute 🥰
@@SparklyOne Thank You !! :)
Im having to go to a 4mm because my hook cant get the yarn to go through 3 loops. Does this mean Im doing it too tight? New crocheter.
We all have a different tension when we make anything, so moving up or down a size is often necessary. It should work out ok. Welcome to the world of crochet, you’ll love it once you get the hang of it 🧶🥰👏
Do it have to be cotton yard can I use worsted weight yarn
You can use either one, but the cotton yarn is a bit more stiff and will keep its shape better 🧶😀
Thank you
Yes the lady want this in fall colors can you redeem one please the yarn I have to use
Can I use sugar cream yarn
How many rows to make a little wider
I loved this pattern but my hat turned out to have a wibbly wobbly brim and not a flat one like yours. Any ideas where I went wrong please!
It’s is it wavy like mine but won’t stand up? If so, you probably need to use a smaller hook.
Here’s my other video if you want a less floppy hat.

Thanks for explaining. OCD person here. Stitch count for me MUST be exact or it drives me nuts 😅
Yeah I was looking for a comment to make sure I send the only one😅 I just counted my stitches and got 40 too I got worried for a second but I’m gonna continue the pattern and see how it goes🙂
I have a large head. Will this hat fit me, or shall I make an extra row or two to keep it wider? Thank you!
The hat does stretch, but maybe just add a few extra stitches when making the circle portion and that will make it bigger. Your counts might be off from mine, but just continue making the pattern and it should work out great. Keep me posted 🧶🥰
Is there a way to print this pattern? Also what kind of yarn do you use and how much do you need for the floppy hat?
Please watch the video and also read the description details 🧶🥰
Hi! I want to make this one so bad because it's lovely! I'm pretty new to crocheting, how would I adjust this pattern if I used a size 2 or 3 yarn instead of size 4? :)
That small of a yarn would take you much longer to make. I wouldn’t change a thing, especially if you are a new crocheter.
What did I do wrong?? Mine is not as flat as yours.
We all have different yarns and different tension so you’ll need to make less increases in the beginning of making the brim. Hope that helps 🧶😀

Is it possible to make this with acrylic yarn too ?
You sure can! It will probably be a bit more floppy, but you can go down a hook size and see how it goes 🧶😀
@@SparklyOne wow 🤩 it’s beautiful thank you

what size hook? A 5 mm is is an H8 and G is 4mm?? A bit confusing.
