    Round 19 = 71 sts (this is an approximate number)
    Brim
    Slip st in between each hdc in the row below, rep around and then sl st into the next 2 or 3 sts

    Round 1
    Place marker

    Round 2

    At end of last round, sl st into next 3 sts, then sl st into row below from top side and loosely flat sl st in every st until you reach the beginning of first st, then join w/sl st and fasten off, weave in your ends.

    Hi there. I have a question about round 5. The pattern starts with 8 stitches. Each successive round will add 8 more, making the stitch counts on each of the first 5 rounds 8-16-24-32-40. How did you end up with 45 stitches? Did I miss something? Thank you.

    • @SparklyOne
      @SparklyOne  Рік тому +1

      It’s not an exact science. Sometimes we lose count, so maybe that’s why? As long as you try it on to make sure it fits before you move onto the brim, that’s the important part. It will also stretch so keep that in mind. You don’t want to make it too big. We all crochet with different tension, too. You might have to adjust here and there with your stitch count. Hope that helps 🥰🧶

    You say G or 4mm hook. Mine says E or 4mm. That threw off the pattern for me.

      Sometimes, depending on the country the hook was made, they can be different units of measurements. It's so confusing, but I would use the 4 mm size. The smaller the hook the tighter the weave of the hat, which is a good thing. Hope that helps. Happy crocheting!
