    Never cared for glock. Held DR 920 with 1911 grip angle installed. Sold. Getting one in couple of weeks.

    I purchased a DR920 Feb 2022. The accuracy sucks and customer service is almost non-existent. I've been exchanging emails since Feb 23rd in effort to get help with it with no results

      I saw Shadow Systems actually respond to your comment in another video. It was Travis from their videos and he gave some insight which sounded resolved. Did they make good on it? I’m looking at getting one now but may just go with Glock and build it over time.

    Glock better make some massive changes with the gen-6. There are too many other competitors out there building phenomenal pistols and I'm not even speaking towards the Glock clones. Sig Sauer f n Springfield Canik Smith & Wesson. All of these major brand companies are pushing their products forward. Glock is stuck in the 1990s. I used to only purchase Glocks. Now I rarely purchase them. They are always going to sell their fair share. But there will come a point where their domination in the market no longer exists. Shadow systems is such a superior product compared to Glocks it's not even close

    It's beyond me why anyone would buy a g17 or g19 in 2022. h&k, walther, shadow systems, s&w, springfield, canik, FN, all have better options for about the same price...

      Literally one reason. It says Glock on the slide lol. Some people really buy into the whole “Glock is the greatest, Über reliable handgun Perfection and everything else is straight trash”. Not everyone who likes Glock is like that but a lot of people started on Glock because that’s what everyone pushes. New shooters may not of heard of HK, FN etc but know about Glock from movies and rap. And once they learn on a Glock they think it’s normal to tweak your wrist and now every other gun is “wrong” to them. Imo Glock is a great gun that’s stuck in the 80s. All they need to do is fix the grip angle (like SS did), put normal metal 3 dot sights on from the factory, and redesign the slide serrations. Not only do the Gen 5 front serrations look unbelievably ugly (imo) but they’re not that useful. They’re very shallow and don’t grab well. Also should cost about $400-450 and not the $600+/- I see in stores.

      I am fortunate enough to have a lot of current pistols and one thing is for sure, Glock will eat all the ammo my hk won’t and all the ammo my PDPs and others don’t like during the “break in period”. It’s due to their loose tolerance build and yes not the best but reliable over accuracy.

    I have the War Poet MR920 is a commendable firearm, yet the trigger mechanism, despite its aesthetic appeal, leaves room for improvement. Upon comparison, its performance is slightly better then that of the trigger in my 300 dollar Palmetto State Armory Dagger, which is to say, it is adequate but not exceptional.
    Shadow Systems' stance on aftermarket trigger modifications-citing warranty concerns-voids after market options. I was open to investing in a better, more dependable duty trigger if Shadow Systems had such an upgrade available but they do not. The ideal was to acquire a firearm that was operationally ready straight from the manufacturer; while this was achieved, the trigger mechanism did not fully meet expectations, marking a slight letdown in an otherwise awesome product.

    Good video brother! I am a SouthPaw, I also have the DR920 Elite. I have NO problems using the Slide Lock on the gun. Adapt and Compromise.....

      As a lefty the micro pistols run in our favor. Plenty of people having the slide lock up due to ridding the slide with their thumbs. The CR920 had people doing this and us left handed people have it easy for a change.

    Thanks for the review.I own 3 Glocks myself. I own a Glock 23 Gen 4 which I never shoot due to the block grip. My wife and I carry a Glock 43X which I love for the fullsize grip and slim frame for carry. I appreciate your comment when you stated that if you are just a casual Glock shooter......Then the Shadow Systems is probably not for you. I was going to purchase the Shadow Systems until I saw the issues with dropped magazines and failure to feed. I also dont find myself buying another Glock in the future either. Very reliable but the ergonomics are from the 80s. Great video!

      I’m betting that the videos that you’ve seen are ones that haven’t run the proscribed round counts for brake in. I was concerned about that myself, but ultimately bought a DR920 Elite and I haven’t had a single issue. It feels much better in my hand both shooting and just holding than any of my Glocks. I’ve been very satisfied with my Shadow Systems purchase. Good luck

    I may have missed it if the topic was covered; was the pistol provided by SS or did you buy it?

    • @AZTrigger
      @AZTrigger  3 роки тому +6

      This was not provided by Shadow Systems. I receive a lot of offers to review products directly from the manufacturers but rarely ever take them - I don't want to be a shill for the manufacturers and only want to review products I believe in and would buy myself.

    What ammo did you use for the accuracy test? I just bough the DR920 and have tried a variety of my own reloads and factory ammo and getting 2.5" groups at 12 yards from bench rest with red dot so basically what you were getting at 25. That seems too much to me and to be blunt, I want better. thoughts?

      There's a supposed break in period of 300 rounds. Not familiar with this gun so not sure if that would affect accuracy but it might just need more shooting

    I have two MR920’s (one combat and one elite) Glock 19 size. I was hell bent on the DR920 until I got to handle both the DR920 and MR920L at the same shot. I bought the elite Mr920L. It allowed me to retain the use of all my Glock 19 mags and still get all the full-size benefits of a larger full size g17 without the longer grip to conceal.
    The triggers are decent out if the box but after 5-700 round they really breakin and become fantastic. I’ve got over 5800 rounds between them through magpul mags without any issues.

      Do you find any difference in your accuracy when using the MR920L vs the MR920 Elite?

    • @Freakingstang
      @Freakingstang 2 роки тому +1

      No. Elite vs combat doesn’t make a bit of difference on accuracy. They are the same minus optic cut and slide windows. They’ll both be more accurate than you can be. The Long slide mr920L is a tad softer recoil but they are all smoother than any glockish platform.

      @@Freakingstang Thank you. Just wondering if there were massive differences between the 920L and the regular sized slide/barrel. If you could ONLY have one... Either your 920L or your 920 Elite, which one do you choose?

      They use Pmag magazines. My MR920 Elite has both Pmags that doesn't lock back when empty. I might use oem glock19 mags.

    I heard the window cuts (lightening cuts) is to offset the optic weight. Not sure if that’s true but it makes sense so when you add the optic the weight of the gun is the same as one without the cuts and optic 🤷🏻‍♂️ great video 👍🏼👍🏼

    Nice. I should get more competent with what I have before going for something like that. Maybe I'll just practice with a psa dagger for a while. Does it come with all black hardware, or do I have to pick a color?
