Thank you for doing my van, excellent job defo drive down again if ever this happens again
Thanks again!
Hi handsome jimmy. I figured out what the past 4 Mechanic's did wrong, they failed to read and understand the theory of the DPF and it's components, they also refused to buy the correct tools and cleaning products. On top of that , how to operate the software and hardware of the scanner, plus Listen to others with experience.
All those having DPF and NOX sensors issues stop using cheap diesel
I’ve been using shell V power diesel and all the issues gone no engine check light now 👌
It's good advise.Whenever I get DPF related issues I always suggest tanking up with quality fuel before I see it again....makes a big difference👍
@@-doggy-6670 only thing is it’s around £20 per tank more than the Tesco diesel ⛽️🤦🏻♂️but you get what you pay for I suppose 😁👌
You should work in london, i will be your first customer, my van is f**ed,
Would this cause a whooshing noise on acceleration and hesitation ? Like a boost leak noise?
During (your) DPF cleaning process, I see no black smoke or black foam coming out of the tailpipes, so I wonder where goes all the DPF ash when you use Launch UK cleaner?!
You won't get black smoke as black smoke is only made during bad combustion.
You usually get a grey soot patch on the ground
Hi great video
Just got my dpf cleaned but got a hissing noise coming from under the bonnet
Still got the message exhaust filter over limit coming up
Did they missed something ?
Sounds like they did
Do you ever worry about timing belts snapping when revving the diesels? If some are not well maintained I guess they've not done the belt.
Not a criticism of the work just remember notices in MOT places about emissions testing diesels on the fast idle but it maybe out dated these days.
I of course will hold no responsibility for engine failure of any kind while I'm working on it. It's sure to happen one day.
Just done this on my connect. Got to 35% and couldn’t reset valves. Started driving and went back to 217%
Got a 2018 connect that won't let me reset the DPF values after I cleaned the DPF. No comms on many modules too. ECM comms is fine.
Any ideas?
I've been having that issue with some of these myself. No resolution yet
@@ORileysAutos did the one you failed on have that newer obd gateway module?
I've got this one now on IDS as I write to you doing a static regen. Will let you know how it goes.
As for the comms issue, that's still a mystery.
IDS just ran a regen, took 40 minutes, after that soot and ash 0%
@ss ss I have done loads of connect 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020
But I recently had a 2015 after cleaning the dpf down to 0mbar I couldn't find no option to reset dpf values
@@ORileysAutos that's right. On my friend's launch, brand new, £3k, no option.
My modus has option but goes no comms after selecting it.
Once dpf is clogged it can still be saved or no?
Yes
It it true that only ford dealerships can recode new injectors?
Brilliant video, very detailed and informative, I have just purchased a 68 plate 120 ps eco blue, very good to know about potential issues with running the van in the morning, without the engine getting up to temperature.
Great product the launch fluid, and I am sure you have saved people a lot of money and stress, with this great video.
Glad it helped
Good job Jimmy
Thank you
3:30 Jeeezus christ the brand new Peugeot 1.5 Cylinder engine? How is it possible to have one and a half cylinders? Must be some INSANE French engineering going on????
Didn't realise I said that 😂
@@ORileysAutos I love you Jimmy
Your cleaning procedure is very interesting. Most of the DPF cleaning products instructions want the sprayer nozzle to move around inside and saturate the Core, then wait for around 30 minutes to soak, and follow up with a flushing fluid. None of them ever run the fluid through when the engine is running. Your procedure, is very different and I have learned a lot. You have proven results using your method, but why is it so different from the instructions on all the products???? And should I even bother with the flushing fluid????
Who does flushing fluid? Sounds like a way to charge more money for there product.
@@ORileysAutos I was beginning to wonder the same thing. I think the products you have in the UK, may be much stronger, and more simple to use than what is allowed in the USA EPA, and especially California restrictions. I noticed your product is marked "UK" at the end. I bet I can't even get that here.....

Not sure if you found it but the pressure sensor and pipe is on the right side off where the exhaust was quite easy to get too just by the adblue injector
I've done 3/4 off the 1.5s and the last one I did was doing the same with the pressure going up and down at idle not sure why but it's been okay since
Alot off diagnostic machines can't reset the dpf because the machine needs to go online to do so
I've only done one of these engines but pressure was exactly as you and Jimmy have shown. It's seems to hold steady on a manometer though so maybe just very sensitive?
Good to know it's normal 👍
Yes mine was same on a manometer steady and on live data was all over the place
Looked in that area and definitely could not find the pressure sensor?
@@ORileysAutos the one I done, the dpf was underneath and pressure sensor just up infront of it. Cat and adblue injector is where the dpf used to be on the dv6 engine.
@gaj1612 yeah this had another dpf/cat underneath but no sensors on it just a temp sensor
