I would like to go Metal Detecting in Germany
My Grandfather came from Germany in 1921. I was stationed there from 83 to 85 and have been there twice in the last 3 years. Do you know of anyone or possibly you, that would take me out. I will compensate for your time etc. Thank you. Dosie Ross Maassen.

Makes you wonder if a young soldier was in a tricky situation and got rid of insignia to avoid detection or met a stickier end on the path. Tantalising snippets of history which we won't ever know the full story of. Thank you Hans.

That is a very picturesque path as well as historical. Makes you wonder about who walked and somehow lost their personal items. Enjoyed hearing the birds too.

A great extra bonus to your videos is reading the comments. I don't think its very common that a "youtuber" (altough you are pretty anonymous) people get like 99.9% nice, heart varming comments. I think that says it all!

So glad to see you back and am already looking forward to next instalment ,I have just used up my next two years of birthday and Christmas present treats and have purchased a Minelab Equinox 800, and am out on some old permissions finding new goodies. Its wonderful to see you again Hans, the snow drops and the birdsong were a wonderful way to start your video sweetheart thank you and the birdsong was with you throughout the video, sheer bliss lol. All those wonderful finds were amazing in just 500 metres of the track, it will be great to see what else is hidden there from the past. The silver bracelet can be repaired I imagine and a picture of it will surprise your brother Sven. The white hawthorn flowers are so beautiful though too many used to start my late brothers asthma and I have had trouble breathing from masses of it in the past, I find them so beautiful I just had to see them lol. The Austrian buckle and the button front are also beautiful, what great finds the track has produced for you my friend. I follow your detecting with much anticipation, what will he unearth next, whatever it might be you have an casual but sincere way in explaining those finds. I hope, when you have contacted your brother, he will confirm the silver bracelet is the one he lost. Good hunting Hans.
You may notbknow it, but These Kind of silver bracelets are friendship-bracelets and a Sven would have given it to his favourite girl-friend. This means it was probably a girl, who lost it.
If a young man used to wear it, there used to be a girl's name on it, Like Birgit, Ingrid or Ute. Why do I know this? When I was a teenager, These bracelets we're 'in.' I used to have one ...

Hans, That's a nice 1920's -30's Art Deco Ladies wristwatch there , It would have had matching loops each side of the case ( one has broken off ) to fit the strap to , or feed a petersham band through . A nice watch, if it is 100% gold cased , you should have no problem opening up the back, however if it is gold plated, it may have corroded on the hinge and around the case. It may have a gold hallmark on the outside back of the watch case, it may be marked 375 (9ct)K OR 750 ( 18CT)K, , Thanks again for a fabulous video.

Yes....even here in the U.S. I am experiencing stress and have been glued to the news. Thank you for a nice break and reminding me there are millions of good people out there who just want to live in peace, though I am very humbled by those who are currently fighting for not only their freedom, but ours as well. By the way....very nice finds and what were those bird sounding noises coming from?

Really nice finds. Austrian troops were only welcome in Bismarck's Germany when they were helping fight Denmark. Circa 1864-65. Thanks.
The watch you found might very well be a nurses watch but they where usually pined upside down on the breast of her uniform and they had second hands for precise timing when taking pulses etc. I think the shape is a clue to its age and may be art deco in design, maybe from the 1920's or 30's. Just a guess. Great video and beautiful path area.

Huhu! Bin (leider) erst kürzlich auf Deinen Kanal gestoßen und muss sagen, ganz große Klasse wie Du alles erklärst und in welch angenehm ruhigen und sympathischen Art. Die Videos sind zudem qualitativ echt hochwertig produziert. Schade dass ich Deinen Kanal erst jetzt entdeckt habe, aber man kann ja alle Videos noch nachholen. Dein Umgang mit den Funden und der Landesarchäologie ist vorbildlich, ich denke die schätzen Dich sehr. Eigentlich sollten die NFG Antragsteller Deine Videos vorgeführt bekommen ;)
Anfangs fand ichs etwas befremdlich dass Du den Kanal auf englisch hältst, aber die Kommentare zeigen dass es auch viele Sondler aus dem Ausland genießen unser Fundspektrum hier so präsentiert zu bekommen.
