You have to adapt. As an Aussie son of European immigrants, it was amusing to see my parents wearing too many clothes in a hot environment. My dads been here for 60 years and still wears too many clothes. Go early in the day, rest in the shade. Take water and a snack (not cheese), be prepared with a floppy hat (cooler and folds away), warm jacket, rain poncho and firelighting stuff. A lighter etc. Have you ever eaten warm cheese??? It's terrible. 😆
@@redtobertshateshandles Layering is good. You can always take off a layer or two as needed. You can't put on what you don't have if it suddenly turns unexpectedly cold.

Female children used to start needlework early in earlier centuries Hans, and its great to see you again sweetheart. The first coin the 1 Phennig is lovely and I love the Eagle on the reverse, as for the little buckle, those medieval buckles are my favourites, I love the shape. So many coins came out of a small area and many of them in good condition though the last one cleaned up so well. The sun through the leaves was so beautiful to watch them blowing in the breeze, I so enjoy seeing the natural world you film, thank you Hans. Great to see a new video of yours! Funny...I just commented about your channel on another metal detecting site called Green Mountain Metal Detecting or just GMMD for short. On that channel Brad makes such well produced videos and he is so interested in the history of the areas he detects in Vermont that I had to compliment him on the quality of his videos and said that the only other detecting channel I watch that is produced with such quality and by a person who is so interested not so much by the monetary value of what they dig but the history of what they dig, is the Terra Germania channel...and here you are proving me right again! Oh, and having not seen one of your videos in awhile and knowing that you served in the military, I wondered if maybe you were in Ukraine as a volunteer!

Hans! So happy to see you are O.K. and metal detecting again! We have been worried that you retired from the hobby. Here in Vermont, USA we also are in a drought, but not as severe. I also love the humble thimbles. They remind me of the girls & women who worked so hard to keep everyone clothed back then. I was a seamstress for 26 years.

@@scrappinbig2239 I think it depends what you're using. I'm using the Samsung galaxy s21 and the replies are alway's showing with the words of translate to English below what people have written.

I detected today and spent a lot of time digging trash targets in rock hard ground but I did find one tombac button and a 69 caliber musket ball. I hope you're next find is amazing. Good to see you back.

Welcome Back! Such a wonderful treasure hunt! The Old Footpath is one of my favorite sites. A thimble.....you know it's my most favorite find! My heart skipped a beat! It is such a personal treasure and I feel it too. Its also Interesting to imagine all the footprints over 100's of years. Those woods have heard many many conversations!! Hey Hans! Good to see you back! I love when you find thimbles. When I was a child I would wear as many as I could find in my grandmothers sewing baskets on my fingers. To this day I find sewing baskets a very magical place. Some things we must be wise to such as the rouge pin or needle that can prick the skin! Ouch! All the thread colours, some times a strange shaped tool, good for a toy. Such imaginations. The path you are on holds a truth. Many geist wandering I'll bet. Much peace to you.

Someone once told me "never loose your child hood"! That has been my moto through out this long life I have been blessed with. I remember going into a puppet museum in old Lubick. How much it brought back to me as a child and the puppet shows that came around this time of year. TV was just starting here in the US but those puppet shows were top drawer as we say!
