I live in a small house in the forest near Dryden, Ontario, Canada. I have spent many happy hours watching your channel - thank you so much. I am a detectorist myself and often envy the variety and antiquity of the artifacts you find in Germany. However, the history of our First Nations peoples in Canada reaches a long way back. In this area, and especially around the great lakes, copper implements such as awls, knives and spear points are often found. These originate from indigenous cultures that existed here between 3000 BCE to 1000 BCE. Sophisticated mining, crafting and trading occurred here when the pyramids were being built. What we lack is the density of artifacts that occur in the soils of your land - although we seem to have just as much modern trash! Thanks again for your videos they are simply wonderful.

Our metallic finds don't go back as far as yours, but having dug in England quite a few times, I enjoy comparing your Medieval and Roman finds to those found in the UK. Keep up the good work. They bring a feeling of deep peace to me which is transferred from your own peacefulness. I forget the terrible modern world with its war and pandemic when I see you dig up a Roman sestercius from so long ago for example. I'm in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin in the USA. The town name is from a native American word meaning "where waters meet", as we have dozens of lakes in my area thanks to the last glacier. My favorite find in today's video was the flint -- so small and to the untrained eye easily passed over. A metal detector would not alert to it. But you found and identified it. Impressive!

Hello Hans, I love your channel. I am watching from North Queensland in Australia. We do not have historical artefacts buried and waiting for somebody to find here, but the area is very rich in ancient volcanic activity and hence there is a huge amount of gold in the ground. I am going to buy a Minelab gold detector soon and head up the mountains to the tablelands to look for nuggets. If I don't find anything it will still be good to be there as it is an astonishingly beautiful area. Maybe I will make a video so people can see it. Your editing and shots of nature and nice calm voice keep me coming back to your channel as soon as you upload a video. Thank you for great content.

    G'day Hans
It is great to see you again out detecting in the field searching through the trash for the treasures and also the beautiful rolling hills of the farm you are on.
My wife picked some Sunflowers from her garden this week at our home and they are of the large variety, very bright and beautiful, to put in a vase with the Roses she grew also. It is our Spring time here in Brisbane Australia.
Thank you again for your video and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
    Take care.
    Andy

Hi Hans, excellent finds, especially the Roman coin! Was it worth a day's wages for a common Roman laborer in ancient times? Your nature shots are spectacular, and when combined with your choices of music and the history you're revealing, it becomes a high cultural experience for the viewer.
I'm an American from Colorado now living in Kraków, so I'll leave it up to you to decide whether you should count me once or twice, ha ha ha. :)

thank you my friend, I'm glad you like the finds and the way I make my videos. one sestertius was approximately one € (1,17$) haha.. I think we can count that twice :)

Hello Hans from Rockingham, Richmond County, North Carolina, U.S.A. I am 70 year old a retired law enforcement officer. I used to hunt areas of the American Civil War in North Carolina and South Carolina. I am not able to get out in the field now but I feel the same excitement as you when you find a nice relic. I trully enjoy your channel and can hardly wait to join you on the next adventure. Thank you for taking me along. Good luck and Happy Digging. Jim

thank you for watching! we need a permission to detect legally in germany. substantial historical finds have also be turned in but one gets rewarded. I think this is a liberal and understandable law that I support. all the best,
