Your not wrong, but to add more context: Mushoku tensei is made up of freelancer’s and while scheduling is a factor, most of the time they actually just follow where there friends go (connections) and who is it that brings these connections together? The animation producer. MT animation producer left for the first cour because he was too busy with Onimai. So this leads to both a bad schedule AND poor planning.
I do think Studio bind relies too much on freelancers and YES i said maintaining a very talented core freelancing staff for multiple seasons is hard. Most animators prefer to work with friends or being a talented director can also attract people to the project. And ya forgot to mention that Ootomo is back as the AniP for s2 cour 2.
a studio that made only 2 animes so far, both amazing in every way, that studio is in downfall? yeah, no, also dislike for the clickbait, if you want to do content, do it with honesty man, this kind of things wont get you anywere
onimai was great, have tried to catch up to mushoku tensei
I get you, but you have to remember that when the Studio was created it was supposedly been made specifically to make Mushoku Tensei and they even announced that it's not just 1 season; they were planning to adapt all of Mushoku Tensei. But then suddenly they made another anime with STACKED staff and high production value. Which in turn caused Mushoku S02 to look, in comparison to season 1, Okey-ish at besr. They succumbed to the industry practice of taking more projects than they can handle which cause other projects to lower in quality. I know they get forced to do this because the money they're getting from that original project isn't enough to keep the Studio afloat, but they gave fans EXTREMELY high expectations and then were defeated by this fu**ing shit industry. So yes, in my books, they fell.
@@scythe9734 thats not a fall, is a change or adaptation at most, i get the idealist mindset they started with but thats not how things work, so they adapted and change their aproach in the industry, also, the drop in quality from s1 to the first cour of s2 had way more reasons, the general director of s1 dropped the project because, in his own word, mushoku demanded too much of him, with a project that big and important is understandable, key animators and other people also left the project so they needed to improvise a director and team and get lost of 3rd party animators, with like you said is reflected in the first half of s2, but now that they pass that storm some people came back, things are more organized and you cant deny how much it has improved in the 2nd half, so, fall? Not even close, they went trough a storm and are geting back on track
@@ezequielfernandez476 Yes to everything you said, but I still feel they fell from what they started from. And now we'll most likely see a repeat of Mushoku S2P21 evey year. So yes, it's not like they completely fell off; it's just that they had the potential to be, in the fututer, considered similar to KyoAni, Trigger, Ufotable and Production I.G.
@@scythe9734 take this into consideration too, MT s1 had way more time that s2 is having, imagine that the first trailer came out in 2019, and it was a super refined one, knowing the times of anime and produtions we can assume it was in production for at least 3 years before airing and between cour 1 and 2 they took 6 months, so think of it as a 4 years production with a firm team, now think about s2, with less than half the time and an improvised team and still looked better that 99% of the animes that season and with onimai in the middle, a new studio needs time to put their shit together after loosing half the team that made the first season and they pull it off, now we can say that we are back at s1 cour 2 quality, we wont see s1 first 2 EP movie quality again because you can imagine how much time that takes, just give them time and im sure they will be one of the big studios
So far The difference in animation quality between S2 Part 1 and Part 2 is massive.
Yeah pt2 is really good
@@PrinceMichael_in backgruounds yeah the quality increase by a lot, in characters design is still as inconsisntent as s2 cour 1, and the paising being in my opinion worst than the previous cour, all season feel so rush.
Last ep (20) besides the roxy moment the episode was bad, i fell no emotion.
Is such a pitty to see this show i love so much not having the care and love it deserves😢
Yes but also in time of relise - S1 took 5 years in preproduction only. Making S2 as whole took 2 years. And since it's about Rudeus' life they had to remake most of the asets.
Im telling you, youre not ready for the teleport labyrinth. Its by far the best Arc in the light novel and the fight with the Hydra is the climax everyone is hypeing Up.
Im realy hopeing Q Kawa doesn't need to solo carry that fight
That shit is so hyped
I wouldn't hype it. UNLESS, the episodes leading up to it show a return of visual quality. Then that arc will be straight eye candy for my balls.
@@macomonkey6969 understandable
Was binge watching your videos, awesome
I'm still waiting for Onimai Season 2
Man, I just hope that they don't mess up with the volume 12 adaptation, this is one of the best volumes of Mushoku Tensei, it has to be perfect in the anime
So far they are doing it poorly😢, ep 20 was so rush a lot of content skkiped, and animetion and direction so stiff execpt for the last part and some action moments that where preatty short
@@mattersondoom The animation part wasn't that bad tbh. The parts they really had to animated well, they did, and the part the really matters will still happen, when the hydra appears. But in the end, when Roxy appeared, I think that they didn't really skip the explanations about how Roxy survived, we'll probably get it in the next episode together with the Rudeus' pov (I think so because the hug scene NEEDS to happen, and this hug part will only be good if happening after the Rudeus' pov)
@@mattersondoom And yeah, the skipped content was sad. I liked the desert part, I wanted to see the caravan part being animated, for example, even if it makes zero difference to the story
S1 was straight magic.
To elaborate:
I was captivated by the first episode, and the animation/visuals was a huge contributor, something I realize ever since S2 started airing with its more inconsistent and at times janky visuals.
The amount of care you see in S1's visuals and animation was so addicting to look at. Like, the overall look at the character's designs were so soft and fluid, but at the same time you can literally see STRANDS OF HAIR glistening in the light on the back of someone's neck.
And the magic was always so powerful, colorful and stunning. The melee combat always had a perfect balance of weight, speed, power, and exaggeration. Like cmon, Eris eating up Ruijerds spear flurry literally made me tingle the same way I did when Rudy opened that piece of bread.
The sheer atmosphere brought about by the architecture, lighting and colors in each different region/city reels you into the world, and when that shit is combined with those Opening Theme compilations; need I say more?
We were spoilt with such carefully tended-to visuals and animation in S1 that I let my guard down for S2, slightly disappointed in its rougher look. But I personally can only imagine it getting better from here.
We got Nanahoshi's episode which seemed to teeter back towards S1's quality, not just in terms of story-telling but VISUALS as well. Having read the novels, I imagine Studio Bind recognizes the importance of upping their game, at least temporarily. Whether they pull through to the same quality as season 1 we'll just have to wait and see, but I have faith that it's at least acknowledged.
Here's to hoping a future Mushoku Tensei Season can capture and captivate us the same way S1 did.
5:33 as a light novel reader, season two animation quality was obviously obviously worse. What I complain about most though, is them leaving out important details.
yeah the main thing that stood out to me was how they downplayed the scene of rudeus beating badigadi... in the LN it was emphasized that even putting a scratch on orsted was so incredible that badigadi immediately dropped the banter and got serious, and this time rudeus said that the stone cannon he fired was using the "as much as possible" setting on the spin, speed and density of the bullet, which was many times more than the quick one he fired at orsted back then. yet in the anime its just shown as a generic fast bullet that just knocked badigadi back, while in the LN it described him as literally exploding into a million shards lol which is much more impressive considering the dense fighting stance aura thing he had
"New language from scratch"
I don't know about Beast God Language, but the Human Tongue and Demon God Language are consonant substitution takes on Basque and Zulu, respectively, with their own alphabets.
I know some of the languages in the show are a combanation of other languages. I said it wrong but you know what i meant.
What is the song at 6:00?
what show is this? 9:27
Wouldn't "downfall of mushoku tensei(visuals)" have been a better click bait title😑
maybe
I think adding visuals to the title makes it not work very well
Love both mushoku tensei and onimai. I hope they do Onimai season 2. It was really popular in Japan. I have also been reading the manga to recent chapters 😂.
hey sinchi, trust me, if you had at least 200k+ subscribers the criticism that absolutely makes no sense would be gone 😅.
Youre opinion is valid, although i didnt realy agree at first, you changed my opinion to see it like you do, thats a nice thing to have so i hope you will grow big, keep it up!
S2 cut out many things from the LN/manga and shortened the story by a lot, such as Nanohosi's recovery which was meant to be at least a week and not a day. I really hope they don't cut anything for the Norn arc and especially not the Labyrinth arc.
if you say the downfall of mushoku tensei i think you would get more traction as that have more algorithm than studio bind, but idk i got this video recommended even if i dont watch mushoku tensei at all so i guess its fine
I guess you could say… that they’re in a bit of a bind?
Sorry for not being sorry
you better be sorry lil bro
Calling this a downfall is wild. Good video.
Should do a review on Onimai 😂
I would but researching stuff for onimai's production is limited
its so over bros...
They should just stick to mushoku tensei and start deciding making another anime in their bracket when it's done.
The studio was forced to create a good isekai
the labyrinth arc is the best arc in mushoku is in the last episodes of part 2 i think they priority this last couple of episodes so i hope for the best
They should make a reverse Oshi no Ko at TP4 for season finale if they reach there.
Imagine a 1 hours 30 min special episode as a season finale
Nah forget what I say that would be FOUL
Is it really the best arc ? S2 was so bad in comparison to S1 so its better deliver or it will fall off
@@kingdoom5022 The following events will change the whole story moving forward, so many consider it to be the best arc. Thats why ss2 getting the OPM2 treatment is just pain. If u like the show I honestly recommend reading the novel, it is very very good
@@quangtuantran7181 while season 2 isn't as good as season 1 it's still miles better than opm season 2 in quality
@@kingdoom5022 Season 2 did not have much fights. It's more of a chill season.
onimai is one of the weirdest animes i watched and they should have just focused on mushoku tensei
It more so has to do with the budget and co sidering studio bind is very new i dont blame them
Did you really pay no attention to the video? Industry connections and schedule play a way better part than just money.
@@carloscauan7967 I did but we are talking about a newbie studio here so don't be surprised
Bread
Bruh wtf are you talking about? 😂
Visually it s a catastrophic downfall, most ppl who work w visual arts can see the flaws in production. But while that is quite a bummer, it is still fine if the story was adapted nicely, and it wasnt. Unlike ss1 where the main focus was on the worldbuilding n the adventure, ss2 is a lot more character focused. So to botch the pacing, storyboarding, n scripting this hard is just saddening. And while I do understand the constraints of adapting such a loaded source material, but they r cutting out so much that it is rlly affecting character development n nuance.

Wait what???
You ask for a Turning Point?
Let's put it like this, do you think the whole Season 2 would end without a Turning Point?
Its literally next week 😂
