Season 2 was rushed.
If the studio doesn’t rush, the animation, sfx, and music should be great.
they had like 4 years to animate just 13 episodes, and they couldn't even manage to do that.
@@ayushyasrivastava5189 That's blatantly wrong. One simple google search and a reddit post will prove that One Punch Man Season 2 took about 6 months of production, which is extremely less for a small studio like J.C Staff, by the way. 4 years is the gap between Season 1 and Season 2, but not how long it was produced.
🧢 this will look as plastic as se 2 i bet. Give a man 4 years to animate ts, as long as its jc. not happening. Expect anything good coming from them as money grab until they hire manpower
I'm pretty sure that the trailer wasn't pre-animated for various reasons:
1. There is no evidence it is pre-animated, only rumours started out of speculation
2. A pre-animated trailer is designed to generate as much hype as possible by including loads of the most exciting moments in the season (take AOT S4 and Chainsaw man for example), but this trailer is a scene of a minor fight that will happen in episode 1 or 2. It doesn't make sense to do this. But if it isn't pre-animated, then it makes perfect sense that this is the only fight that is actually finished so far in the production pipeline (since it's the first real fight of the season), which is why they used it for the trailer.
3. It's also a lot easier from an animation perspective to string together different moments from across a season rather than making a full and comprehensive scene, so it makes literally no sense for them to do this especially when this whole scene will have to be re-animated.
It was confirmed privately by someone in sakugabooru that it was pre-animted.
@@sinchisan The person who commented that on sakugabooru (Burst Riot), later confirmed on twitter that he confirmed it was Kenichiro Aoki but that the "pre-animated" part was just speculation.
ooo i didnt know that. you might be right but at the same time this is an announcement pv not an actual trailer so thats probably why they didnt animate like the hype scenes them put them together (im just speculating). and it doesnt make sense that kazunori ozawa tweeted he supervise the pv. if that was a scene from an actual episode not pre-animated them i dont get the point of ozawa tweeting out that. again you could be right.
@@sinchisan Yeah true it could go either way, but the trailer is still promising as the designs and compositing should be the same in the actual show which were my biggest issues with season 2. As far as animation goes it just depends on the schedule, there was quite a few scenes of great animation in s2 so with a better schedule it should be more frequent and consistent.
Plus, knowing how they did their job animating Tsukimichi season 2, I trust them now more than ever.
Hot take! So I was rewatching Season 2 of One-punch man recently, and I think it's not nearly as bad as people say it is.
I think the main reason for which people said it was dog-sh*t was that the expectations were through the roof, and they were not short of impossible to fulfil.
Season 2 was good, the problem is that the first season was so excellent, good simply didn't cut it.
Yeah the animation in season 2 was great for the time they had to animate it
I agree it wasn’t too bad honestly. It just had a lot to live up to and failed to reach the same visual heights as season one. My main issue was how characters looked off model most of the time.
Imagine if Murata Stues gets enough manpower in like 2030 and we will see season 1 animated Saitama vs Cosmic Garou
It takes way longer than that to gain man power especially if he's new to the animation scene. He needs to prove himself first with a few more projects
Some random guy already partial animated the very start of the fight very well
If natsume returns it will be too good, but the possibility for it is very low.
When i see JC staff announced more than 15 anime projects this year my hope for season 1 already low
JC staff is the same as queen bee studio who takes many good series ruined it

@@isus7626 Maybe so. . . I can only but hope for a season with better quality than the last though, the last was alright over-all, and for the little time and resources they had I'd say it was even good, so hoping for the following season to be better than the last is my one and only option.
tbh if mappa struggled with jjk season 2 then they will not do well with opm 3. Opm season 3 is adapting a war arc that basically gonna span ver 2 seasons if they doing 12 episodes.
thx for crushing my hype man
I really wouldn’t mind waiting until 2026. If they do the whole arc, or even if they don’t, I really want them to take their time and create a masterpiece. I’ve already waited 5 years, I can wait another 2.
The issue with freelancers is that stuff becomes so inconsistent, and not properly quality controlled. There are times you have newer stuff that looks like UA-cam fan animation projects and deviates far away from the original source.
We should be still thankful to j.c staff by accepting to continue even tho its too hard for them to make it
i swear jc staff will always draw garou with a long ass chin

I think we’ll just have to wait until we see the announcement of the director and the animation producer. As of now it’s too early to tell.
well les jus hope they make parts for the season and the second part is animated bt some high end studio, cus we can't risk opm's last seasson's quality in the hands of jc staff....
The think is that Shingo Natsumeis not really doing something and i notice that some animators in the Fukushi line like norifumi kugai, Sejoon kim and shin ogasawara didn't really have a output on frieren but thats just cope
Ye i do think the animators you mention are more following natsume rather then fukushi. Of course fukushi can still call them up to do some scenes on frieren. its still weird that they're hiding the director or they havent choose a director which is abit corcerning if thats the case.

It won’t be 24 episodes. They animate the printed volumes, and they STILL haven’t gotten to Garou vs saitama

i hope so
I didn't know season 2 was that rushed 😮like dam
Will there be two parts to this season? If so I hope J.C. only works on pt1 and a more high end studio would work on pt2. An anime like this shouldn't be done by such a low quality studio (no offense).
We must have hopium we must have copium we must trust in J.C staff 🙏
Too bad it's going to be the same Studio as The second season. It wouId be perfect if the anime retumed to Madhouse, or even MOB Psychòs Bones Studio.
I think the animation was good in the second season
Genuinely I don’t have a problem, because I have seen what jc is capable of with their other shows like “A certain magic index” and “Konosuba”, when they get enough time and resources they can definitely dish out some top teir animations, still at the end of the day, im just happy that omp3 is confirmed (jc staff will still be one of my fav studios)
Tbh, they had a terrible schedule and it was their first time working on OPM, now that they're more experienced (And hopefully will strive for a better schedule, please) we can hope for a better season.
(I really hope they don't make metal things have that weird metallic look too, it looked so weird on some characters, specially the ones that weren't even made out of actual metal like awakened cockroach and such.)
Madhouse ain’t have the same staff as they did during season 1 and bones struggling with MHA lol. Opm season 3 will have ridiculous amounts of action that even the top studios can’t replicate with season 1 animation it’s sad but true. Some anime aren’t drawn with animation in mind opm is one of them.
the first season literally had any exclusive animator you could think of and shit like that just doesn't happen anymore bruh😭😭
Let Jc Staff cook have faith
i dont think so but i HOPE it will be
JC Staff is capaple of making it good, but will they have the time they need? No one know.
So, too soon to say anything.
They announced more than 15+ anime projects with OPM. I don't know how they gonna do it
@@wargun09876 opm probably gonna be next year
they had 4 years maybe another year to make it the best it can be
Some people who want the show fo return to Madhouse still don't realize that the heavy lifting in the insane iconic Season 1 scenes was done by freelance legends of the industry. I'm sure some of them would love to return but there's no guarantee, and season 2 did have a few exceptional sequences by slightly less known people as well. Plus in 2018-19 J.C. Staff had 18 shows and 2 movies, while Madhouse had 11 shows in 2014-15, and we know how massive of a mess JC's schedules are.
If they've heard the LOUD outcry during Season 2's airing and have prepared decent work schedules we could have something that's not as batshit insane as Season 1 or JJK and Demon Slayer, but still a solid work.
Or they could just fuck it up, we'll see.
Edit: Genuinely if they lift up the casual scene quality to Season 1 level and make most action scenes as good as the last episodes of Season 2, with style adjustments, there isn't really much to complain about.
Bro that intro made me lose track of the video
A lot of the action scenes ur thinking of is DEFINITLEY for s4 no way theyre doing more than 12 eps
never say never, but more that 12 episodes requires atleast 2 years production.

All I can hope is that season 4 is animated by a good studio. And considering the fact that I’m already thinking about season 4 rather than the soon to come season 3, I’d say I don’t have too much hope. I *want* to have hope. I really, *really* do… but their track record is not good… at all. I highly doubt that this season is going to be good, but I genuinely do hope they can work things out.
Season 4 won't happen, season 3 will become the same season 2
@@mahendrap1960 Season 4 is gonna happen even if this season is an absolute flop. Someone is gonna capitalize out of cosmic Garou.
@@Plushplush1 it took 5 years for season 3 , if season 3 become flopped as season 2 then this season is gonna be final season of one punch man
@@mahendrap1960 we don’t even know why it took so long to make season 3, you’re literally going off of the worst possibility
@mahendrap1960 s2 did not flop it made tons of money and so will s3 even if the animation is bad😅
I could wait till 2030 if that means the anime will look exactly like the manga. One punch man has the potential to be one of the greatest anime’s of all time and it’s tiring to see it being ruined with mid tier animations like in season 2. This arc is the most important and iconic by far so they better rise the level for this one.
Popularity of one punch definitely took a hit from ss2
if it looks anything like the teaser then im down
Nice, another slideshow to watch.
I think, just look at JC staff shows currently airing and look at animation quality
Worst thing about JC staff, they take soo many anime project in year they don't give much time to improve animation
This season 3 won't be same as season 1 level animation
Which is huge disappointment Because I want to see season 1 level animation
I have high hopes for this one, if you look back at the Season 2PV you knew it was gonna be ass. S3 preview was hype
Honestly if it isn't at least 70% of S1 quality, I would reread the manga over watching S3
If they animated session 4 in 2030 its gg for me 😭
If it’s not a good guess that sucks I’ll watch anyway
4:45 ayo?
So good and informative video, I thought it is going to be another video hating on j.c.staff.
As per for 3rd season at least committee is putting a thought into the project shown by them doing clever marketing, im not just talking about hero visual and stuff but them cleverly only revealing staff members which are same for first 2 seasons (this kind of sadly confirms No shingo natsume😢).
For animation and visual side of things Aoki and 3-4 more good key animators are good enough. A show don't need every big name animator in industry to look good, it just need enough staff dedicated to that show and give them enough time - vinland saga is a good example of this. Art direction was good for both seasons and comp and colour design needs to be improved
The problem is that jc staff don't have enough good staff too keep the high quality expecially in the fighting scenes
@@alsimmonshellspawn6021
Besides the time management problems, another problem is that JC Staff takes up wayyyy too many projects at a time. As stated in the video, “quantity over quality” which is an absolutely no go for OPM.
I expect atleast 1-2 good well animated cuts every episode.
its probably gonna be more then that.
Less I will never trust jc staff

Let's be real. It's not gonna be on the same level as S1.
I have faith in JC, If they Play their cards right and the produktion comite doesn't go full mappa Style with the deadline, we can hopefully have a season with the quality of the goods from s2. (Im hopeing Aoki doesn't have to be the saveing 1 man army again)
What's that Logic? They are much worse. I Don't think even some of their shows even have an Animation producer. Even the pre animated trailer was rushed

@@knuterkiller9767 Crazy like how people have The Double Standards when it comes to Mappa while they are more devloped as a studio and can actually grow and make money for themselves. While also J.C staff has 15 shows that ofc some of them won't even have an Animation producer. They would just pump out as many shows because they need to I guess. J.C. Staff made OPM 2 so i think it's ok
OPM season 2 IS well animated but is not as consistent as season 2 where even the smallest moments had crazy Sakuga. Even then, moments where there are Sakuga gets ruined by the crazy amount of ghosting to the point of not being able to tell if is well animated which is a shame.
