Slipknot was a favorite band of my daughter when she was a teenager. I took her to see them a couple of times. Lost my daughter in 2008 so Slipknot and Korn hold a special place in my heart.
Rip Joey Jordison. One of the all time best drummers. I’m so glad you got to this one! The other live version was good. And from what I heard I think his feet slamming the bass drum is what kept him in the chair including gravity but that’s probably a lie. But so sick! Hell yeah! You need to listen to snuff acoustic.
I was at Download last year and Slipknot closed the festival on the Sunday night with this absolute banger. 45 years old, 4ft 11inches tall and I was right on the front barrier. No drink, no drugs, just pure adrenaline. When it came to getting down, I couldn't. I was pinned a couple of inches off the floor by the crowd all I could do was duck my head down. They are so unbelievably good live, and put on an excellent show. If you get the chance, go.
Yes, I was there too! Underneath one of the speaker towers, view wasn't great but couldn't get closer. Managed to find room to headbang without knocking myself or anyone else out 😂 I've seen them twice, both times at DL, the first time was this very video, 2009! Epic, I still talk about it regularly with my best friend I went with.
And yes they are still HUGE and sell out stadiums etc, and this years download festival at the legendary Donington has Greenday sleep token an Korn headlining lol
Still as big They headlined Download 2023, saw them with 100,000 in the same field. Was epic Going to see them in December (Manchester UK), sold out 25th anniversary tour.
The moment the crowd "jumps the f#%k up!" gives me chills every time. There's nothing like a crowd that is 100% invested. You need to check out Tommy Lee of Motley Crue for some more drumming stunts. The man went beyond insane.
I wish people would react to other Slipknot songs. Some of their older and wilder stuff. Don't get me wrong, I like this song, but UA-cam is flooded with people reacting to this song
Love the look on your face when Joey went vertical, Ahahaha, I got to see that with my own eyes at Cyprus Hills Smokeout and at the Palladium in '08. R.I.P Joey.
This is such an epic performance! RIP Joey. You need to see the OG drum amusement park that is Tommy Lee from Motley Crue. Wild Side, S.O.S. (Same Old Situation). Tommy Lee actually had a roller coaster one year. He’s been doing the upside down, spinning drum sets since the 80’s.
Joey Jordison - Legendary Drummer - Paul Gray - Amazing Bassist - RIP Joey and Paul. I love how even when other stuff is going on you can't stop Jim from playing guitar. The first time I saw them do this at a show was just before the IOWA album came out and when Joey is vertical, they had pyro shooting out from around him in a circle. Yeah it is a lot like that. The entire crowd eventually erupts into a pit. I had a 12 year old moshing next to me when I was 16. I thought Slipknot used a lot of pyro until I saw Rammstein. The entire 1st album is super high energy, one song leads into a another, barely any breaks, random tracks, in a word - exhausting. Their 2nd album IOWA is said to be the heaviest album they ever made. I love em both.
for context the first time I saw them was back in 2001, one month after the towers fell. They were my first metal concert, and even when they were in their second year of being signed they were already playing stadiums. They headlined that tour alongside Rammstein and System of a Down. I was 14
I remember when i was with my homies, Spit it out was the first song from slipknot i learned word by word. They also love the band as much as i do and we still vibe to it every time we sit together 🤣
Tommy Lee of Motley Crew played the drums upside down in the Wild Side video plus he has been known to play upside down in a roller coaster type fashion across the arena .
i saw slipknot when i was 15 back in 2000 and they did this as well. it was absolutely insane. sid was also in the pit moshing with all of us. ill never forget the energy that came from this.
Spit it out was a song written and directed towards a local radio station in Des Moines, IA. They refused to air the songs because of the "Bad" language.
Gotta do a little rabbit hole with them. And yeah Corey and Tech did a song together. Glad you mentioned that because I got a new phone and most everything so about to download it lol
Seen them live twice, last time was this year with my girl and her first time seeing them. It was amazing. If you ever get the chance to go see them, I definitely recommend it.
Wow!!! I have never seen or experienced anything like this and your reaction was absolutely incredible and I feel like I was reacting the exact same way! This band is insane!!!
I am listening to Slipknot for 20 years. Surely sometimes I take a pause from them, but keep coming back. One of the staples of my childhood with songs like: Wait and Bleed, Before I forget it... Man they were huge and still are.
I've been going to Slipknot shows since they dropped their first album. If you want to see Corey rap more listen to the first album. I was at one of their shows, and they made the whole arena do a circle pit and at was the size of a NHL hockey arena. I prayed that I won't fall.😅
Yes Corey wasn’t on mfkr it was a dude wore black tape on his face for his mask I seen em live on second stage in ozzfest 99 it was there first album and it was the absolute heaviest then u had Corey come in may have been during that tour don’t really kno details just kno that this kid could growl sing scream whatever and went %1,000 I have em tattooed on me and will die a maggot marching to the heretic anthem
@alexmoran564 I used to see Ozzfest all the time. These were great times. I would see them in Chicago and then go to Wisconsin to see Ozzfest the next day.
They do this at every show, it’s crazy being in the crowd with the suspense building knowing everyone is gonna go crazy. They don’t do the drum kit on the lift anymore but 20yrs ago that sh was wild live. They still kick live.
There is no more satisfying genre of content to me than the first-time 'Spit It Out' reaction. Many Slipknot reactions are awesome and I enjoy watching them, but particular this song... it just has a way of catching folks REALLY off guard, even when they're familiar with Slipknot's appetite for insanity.
This was 2009 and it was off the chain. The energy was literally on another level. Last night of the weekend and the last show. Everyone was ready to give their last ounce of energy.
I went to go see Slipknot live 2022 Dallas with ice nine kills and crown the empire and they still sell out and they still do the camera on a stick and it's so hype the energy RIP Joey jordison and Paul Gray
Brother, they are still selling out 30-40k festivals (louder than life, Rockville, aftershock, inkcarceration) every year.... The army of maggots will not die
So when it gets to the part to tell everybody to get down, that’s part of the live show where he get the crowd into the song. he calls all his people the crowd maggots. Then he’ll sing and when he says get the fuck up, you jumped the fuck up. they’ve been doing it since the beginning of their live shows and still do it to this day. I go to every show in Dallas they come to and it fucking rocks!!!!!
Slipknot: finishes their concert with arguably their angriest song Corey Taylor: we love you, thank you. Take care of yourself, take care of EACH OTHER and he meant it. He never wants to hear someone got hurt at their shows. Truly cares about his fans
So true! I saw Stone Sour back in the day and Corey stopped the show when he saw a crowd surfer fall down and hit the ground. Wouldn't start the music going again till he knew the fan was ok. Class act right there, much respect.
@feintcircles I saw slipknot 2013, in the middle of "surfacing"(if you know the song and what Corey was going through circa 2011-2016ish, you know Corey was not himself at the time). Anyway, a guy next to me ripped a girls shirt off. She looked 17-19 years old. Me and my buddy Josh knocked the guys ass out and I gave her my shirt. But not before a few other saw her in her most vulnerable state. Corey and Mick both stopped playing. Corey laid into the guy with some choice words then directing me and her to the front row and over the rail. While Corey was making sure the guy wasn't lost in the crowd, he described what he was wearing and had the crowd push him to the back of the pit, letting the crowd lay into him as security exported him out and arrested. While Corey was doing that, Mick jumped down and instantly took her to the side of the stage and called a medic to make sure she wasn't hurt. We spent the rest of the concert side stage, with Corey telling me I was the baddest mother fucker in the crowd for not even hesitating to cover her up. Then in 2017 I saw stone sour and halestorm performing co-headling sets. Corey between songs jumped off stage to make sure everyone stepped back away from the rail because a young girl was getting crushed against it. I love Corey. With all the fame, as wild as he is live and how insane slipknot and stone sour are to watch, he always wishes the best for everyone there. IDK what anyone says about slipknot, but after what Corey and Mick did that night back in 2013, they get nothing but respect from me
I saw these guys in Detroit in a little club called Harpos in 1999... If it wasn't bolted to the floor, it was going for a ride. Stools, Garbage cans... everything. Wild show. I think there's a couple vids on UA-cam of that show.
The handycam on the stuck he's holding is the same camera he recorded the crowd with during the disaster piece live dvd when they played the same song.
Slipknot is still very huge and alive! Anytime they're in California, I am there. It can be once or a few times. If they are here, i am going. I'm not even the biggest fan, but they have insane energy and it's hard to resist.
Wait til you see the other guys drums lift up and spin and them rocking the hell out of them things. Slipknot was an absolutely epic concert experience! I was lucky enough to see the original Knot before Paul Gray passed away.
I seen Slipknot wit Jay as the drummer, this song caemeup. My knees and back paid the price. Hell the next day I had a bad hangover and sore neck as well.
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head? Well then you haven't seen everything. For real though, your reaction near the beginning getting pumped up like "yeah what's up. What's going on? Let's do it" was pretty hilarious. Another good pick and another great video.
Don't forget the '80s. Tommy Lee from Motley Crue went out almost over the audience I believe and he did a forward 360 and then back to the stage while playing drums on the song wild side. The video is where they show him doing that you probably already saw it by now
I saw Slipknot during their first ever tour of the UK. At that point in time, they hadn't made the money they now have, so the theatrics weren't like this. Small venue - stage barely big enough to fit them all on and their go-to at the end of the shot was setting each other on fire.
Huge Slipnot fan here! Black Osk Arkansas did it first in 1973. Jack Valentine built it it in 1975, but Buddy Rich performed it after Jack was hurt. Mick Mars was in that nand. But Tommy Lee of Motley Crue ( Mick Mars again) did the wild upside down drum solo BEST! Back in 2015 I think.
This song came out before gladiator. I’m so glad I got to see them when they first arrived on the scene at Ozzfest in the summer of 1999 and seen them several other times as well.
Slipknot was a favorite band of my daughter when she was a teenager. I took her to see them a couple of times. Lost my daughter in 2008 so Slipknot and Korn hold a special place in my heart.
Sorry for your loss ❤️😔
So sorry for your loss, Slipknot is my daughter's favorite as well. My heart bleeds for you. ❤
🙏🏽
My daughter got me into slipknot. She also passed away in 2019.
Damn, sorry to hear. Glad you get to have those wonderful memories, though. Hugs from a random ham.
Corey Taylor is probably the only person who can say "take care of yourself and take care of each other" and make it sound like a threat,😂😂
The pit is a beautiful place.
So true😅
Tec9 could learn from this metal singer !!
The last major show that the original 9 were together. RIP Paul RIP Joey
jj roolz
Chris too@@rcdarksyde2229
Anders Colsefni was also missing, for a reason.
@@mato_2000andres cannot be compared to corey
Not the "Original" 9, but the "99" - 9. The 9 guys who made Slipknot what it is.
I couldn’t believe it when I had heard he’d passed. Joey inspired me to play drums and continues to inspire me
The drum kit had over the shoulder belts that buckled him to the chair. Gnarly as hell!
Yeah I saw that! Still fricken sick!
😎 true dat
Rip Joey and Paul ❤
Motley Crue - Wild Side. Drums completely flip forward 360°.
Bad ass song too.
Tommy Lee is badass lol
Came here to say this
Yeah I'm pretty sure long schlong bajong Tommy Lee was the first acrobatic drummer. But Joey was playing a lot harder stuff than Tommy did.
Yeah tommy lee did it first, but slipknot did it better
@@GrowingDownUnder That was not better than rolling for several flips, that was mild in comparison, JS
I was at Download last year and Slipknot closed the festival on the Sunday night with this absolute banger. 45 years old, 4ft 11inches tall and I was right on the front barrier.

Will you marry me?
@TrueNorthMediaProductions during Korn next year?
This was so sick, it was Download Festival 2009 the biggest heavy metal festival in the UK and I was there
Me too, was epic 🤘
Nice!!! The last festival I went ruined them for me. Great music and bands though and the road trip was epic.
I’m so proud to say I was there🖤
Nothing better than download weekend
And yes they are still HUGE and sell out stadiums etc, and this years download festival at the legendary Donington has Greenday sleep token an Korn headlining lol
Same. One of the best weekends ever!
Still as big
They headlined Download 2023, saw them with 100,000 in the same field. Was epic
Going to see them in December (Manchester UK), sold out 25th anniversary tour.
Also there at Download..and will be at Manchester as well..see you there🤘
This song is over 25 years old now. Great to see it still getting respect.
I played roller derby 2009 - 2014 and Slipknot is what I listened to pre-bout to get in the zone.
Saw Slipknot back in May, can in fact confirm that they are still massive. Their live set is insane
The moment the crowd "jumps the f#%k up!" gives me chills every time. There's nothing like a crowd that is 100% invested. You need to check out Tommy Lee of Motley Crue for some more drumming stunts. The man went beyond insane.
The "Sic Test" I have been part of many of them, its absolutely surreal to become part of an entity as awe inspiring as if one giant living amoeba.
I just saw them on their 25th anniversary tour. Still packed the place and crazy energy. Great show.
Iconic. Been listening to them for 24yrs. Then being able to go listen to Corey do an acoustic set while vibing at work is awesome.
The night i became a slipknot fan. Walked into this carnage after watching the prodigy on the other stage 🤘
Ohhhh man I’ve been waiting for this! SLIPKNOT!!! 🤘
me too and I actually got the face I was looking for 😯😂
I’ve seen Slipknot three times now, all three shows have been amazing!!
Yes, Slipknot is still selling out stadiums, seeing them in 2 weeks on mine and my wife’s 11th anniversary. Pretty sure this was 2009?
😆 BP's face was priceless at the end
I was at this show, crazy seeing people still react to this to this day
me too!!!! what an awesome time that was
I wish people would react to other Slipknot songs.
R.I.P Joey.
damn the Palladium! I went to a few metal and hardcore fests in the early 2000's. Awesome venue
When his platform raised? He was already vertical

I was there! This was the set that made me love Slipknot 🖤
RIP Joey #1! The Legend 🤘 Glad you reacted to this one. Love your channel
just saw them for the 5th time back in August and it was sold out 25,000 capacity. They're not stopping any time soon. Bigger than they've ever been
for context the first time I saw them was back in 2001, one month after the towers fell. They were my first metal concert, and even when they were in their second year of being signed they were already playing stadiums. They headlined that tour alongside Rammstein and System of a Down. I was 14
Damn right they are still this big.
I remember when i was with my homies, Spit it out was the first song from slipknot i learned word by word. They also love the band as much as i do and we still vibe to it every time we sit together 🤣
I was 19 years old and got to see them at a tiny 1,800 person venue back in 2000. This was the opening track 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tommy Lee of Motley Crew played the drums upside down in the Wild Side video plus he has been known to play upside down in a roller coaster type fashion across the arena .
I've got footage of that, they did that when I saw motley
Saw him doing that at the Theatre of Pain tour and the End Tour
I went to their 25th anniversary tour for this album 💿 maggot for life 🤘🏽🤘🏽
i saw slipknot when i was 15 back in 2000 and they did this as well. it was absolutely insane. sid was also in the pit moshing with all of us. ill never forget the energy that came from this.
I love seeing people who have never seen it before react to Joey playing the drums sideways while spinning it makes me happy
Slipknot live is amazing !!! And yes there still very big ! Seen them 21 times !!
‘What’s gonna happen?’ 😆😆😆 Everything my friend, this is gonna be so much fun!🤘🏼🖤😆
This video is a master example of how one person can control a crowd. Such a great frontman
Spit it out was a song written and directed towards a local radio station in Des Moines, IA. They refused to air the songs because of the "Bad" language.

Wow!!! I have never seen or experienced anything like this and your reaction was absolutely incredible and I feel like I was reacting the exact same way! This band is insane!!!
Have seen them half a dozen times so far. They're still tearing that shit up.
They are definitely bigger and better still.
3 years on my track record I seen them live. The energy is amazing 🎉
I was there. This will forever mean a lot to me to be able to say that, it was something REALLY special.
have seen them live 4 times, and this song is always awesome...
Seeing that live is INTENSE. You feel it in every inch of your body.
Yessss!!!! Let’s fricken go!
This is the Slipknot I miss, they were such a force! R.I.P Joey#1 R.I.P Paul #2
Absolutely love that hes reacting to this because I was actually there in that crowd
Been waiting for you to do this one. 😆
I am listening to Slipknot for 20 years. Surely sometimes I take a pause from them, but keep coming back. One of the staples of my childhood with songs like: Wait and Bleed, Before I forget it... Man they were huge and still are.
13:44 BP my dude, you should see rhe videosfrom Motley Crue concerts from back in the day with Tommy Lee on crazier drummer riggs than that.
They are so good live! Especially this song!
I've been going to Slipknot shows since they dropped their first album. If you want to see Corey rap more listen to the first album. I was at one of their shows, and they made the whole arena do a circle pit and at was the size of a NHL hockey arena. I prayed that I won't fall.😅
Wouldn't it be the 2nd album? I didn't think Corey was on MFKR

Slipknot is my whole goddamn world and Spit it Out is my favorite of all time. This was 2010 btw.
Saw them live for the 1st time 2 years ago for Knotfest 2022, they are AMAZING
They do this at every show, it’s crazy being in the crowd with the suspense building knowing everyone is gonna go crazy. They don’t do the drum kit on the lift anymore but 20yrs ago that sh was wild live. They still kick live.

I prefer the softer side of Corey, so I listen to Stone Sour more than I do Slipknot! Zzyzx Rd, Through Glass & Song #3 are a few of my favs...
I went to go see Slipknot live 2022 Dallas with ice nine kills and crown the empire and they still sell out and they still do the camera on a stick and it's so hype the energy RIP Joey jordison and Paul Gray

i was at a knot show in august. they were doing a 25th anniversary of their debut album. this song still fucking rips.
I was there!! Unbelievable band to see live!!
rip jj glad i goto see this show in person and him legend
Man I took my girlfriends daughter to their concert and it was insane. A must go see
Lmfao!!
You should get in the crowd f'n bananas!

Saw them for the first time on 28th oct 2024 in Lima, Peru wow a ahha i'm 66 , crazy guys
Just imagine BP... I WAS IN THIS CROWD!!!!!
Ok here we go! I'm back! Love your content by the way! now you are hitting one of my fav bands!
They are literally headlining Rock im Park in Germany next year and I can't wait for it!
Oh yes! I'm here for this reaction! You better love it BP!
Went to the 2001 pledge of allegiance tour Slipknot Rammstein add more one of the best concerts I've been to in My Life 💯
The handycam on the stuck he's holding is the same camera he recorded the crowd with during the disaster piece live dvd when they played the same song.
I was there , was epic! Gotta love the bonus Kyuss in this vid 🤘

Bro, I love your reaction so much you need to go to a slipknot concert. You would be highly satisfied!!!
I was in that crowd not far from the front, what a night!
This song came out before gladiator. I’m so glad I got to see them when they first arrived on the scene at Ozzfest in the summer of 1999 and seen them several other times as well.
Yeah but this concert was after Gladiator
