former army cook and powerlifter here. nice recipe, it was very good. i would also suggest adding a dash or two of nutmeg to the dredge. it really compliments the cinnamon

They’re legit. The salsa chicken is such an easy dish and you can add to it. Wish I knew of The Buff Dudes when I was single. Meal planning would have been so easy.

There are a lot of UA-cam channels like this, that provide cooking food and call them healthy but doesn't provide the most important thing that I need, macro breakdowns.
But for me, this is one of the best channels here in UA-cam because not only they delivered it short and straight, they also provide macro breakdowns.

The cookbook is excellent and a great purchase for me. Seeing them prepared on youtube is an added plus!

You said 1/2 scoop of protein, but used the whole scoop. What kind of jedy trickery is that?

I made it and it's really good. I topped it with granola, banana and honey. Thanks for the recipe.

use baking powder for bread to be thicker and a sweetener for extra taste. egg whites for extra protein and a pinch of salt for a little more flavour. Coco powder is a good alternative if u don't have protein powder.

What's do u do with the extra mix if there's any left ? Cuz if u have some left u technically don't have 25 grams of protien

Gotta say, it sounds better than the Doucette version. I'm not an egg white fan. At least not all by itself. The protein and milk mixture idea sounds far superior

If you mix the bread with the ingredients you can make it pancake style. Its a bit weird but it works😅

toast the bread a bit to dehydrate it before dipping it in the batter

I wouldnt use protein powder. It ruins the texture for me. I use 250ml of eggwhites and 100ml of low fat milk for 4 slices.

Pure whey does, but a whey-casein blend mixes very well with the custard. Adding some unsweetened apple sauce also does a great job of adding moisture back into it. I've personally found that using pure egg whites makes it too eggy, the yolk really makes a huge difference.

    A) Who the heck eats only TWO slices of french toast?!?? XD XD XD
    B) Cracking eggs is better done on a flat surface. Hold in one hand, hit it on a flat surface once, then peel apart using your thumb & forefinger to pull the egg apart. (Learned this from watching a french dude cooking on PBS years ago... less chance of shell, doesn't push bacteria that might be on the egg into the inside, and you can do it with 1 hand extremely fast once you get used to it. =) )
