French toast is an amazing protein breakfast. I will make 3 different versions, one of them with the Oat drink from ‪@OatlyTV‬ to see if their plant-based oat drink works as a swap for dairy milk.

Your videos are all great. your vids have helped introduce me to making normal, real meals, that have good macros, instead of relying on powders and supplements to reach my daily macro goals.
It's refreshing to see someone who actually intelligently focuses on making a variety of real foods with a focus on high protein to calorie ratios. A lot of the other channels tend to not prioritize the total calorie count/protein content of the recipes, or they do the same tricks every video (adding in casein powder or whey powder to boost total protein content), whereas this channel instead does things differently in a way I more align myself with. I would much rather enjoy REAL food as my primary source of my macros, and consume my protein powder/casein powder in isolation, (as a supplement, its original intended usage) rather than always MIXING the powders into my normal foods. so yeah, I think your channel finds a perfect equilibrium point where the powders don't become the overpowering element, or the 'go-to' for your recipes.
A lot of the other fitness meal prep channels out there tend to 'game-ify' the macros of ALL their 'fitness' foods by lazily and mindlessly dumping in extra casein/whey powder to manipulate the end result's macros, versus how your channel tends to be more creative and more well thought out in its ways to make foods with good macros.
I'm glad to see your channel increasing in subscriber count and size
Thanks for the content and looking forward to your future videos, and your recipe book if it's still in the works!

I eat 3 slices of French toast, scrambled eggs, a slice of turkey bacon and Greek yogurt with strawberries and blueberries in it every morning for breakfast. The secret is microwaving frozen berries (100g strawberries ,55g blueberries) and adding 145g greek yogurt and mixing some 0 calorie pancake syrup in to top your toast with. The whole meal is 645 calories (69c, 12f, 71p) and is incredible. Eating that much bread without other textures and foods makes my brain tired of eating before my body, which is why I have other foods. I'll have to try yours sometime!

I use a whole egg, 100g egg whites, 2% milk, apple sauce and a scoop of whey/casein blend protein powder seasoned with salt, cinnamon and splenda! Also found that adding a bit of baking powder really helps the French toast taste fluffier. I love pre-toasting my bread and it works really well! I also have left bread out overnight (with and without a very light toasting) and that’s also effective for getting the slices to soak up more liquid. I do two things to add more protein: 1) get my dose of collagen peptides by mixing them in and 2) mix in 85 g Greek yogurt. To really save on calories I either do 4 slices of Sara Lee Delightful bread (180 cals) or 4 slices of Healthy Life white bread (140 cals). Thanks for this great video as always!

Felu, French toast is my thing. May I make a couple of suggestions?
    1. Buy a nice baguette. Use the baguette for a sandwich like your recipe for sandwiches, then slice the baguette into pieces for french toast. A baguette has excellent macros and soaks up the liquid better than anything else. You caj just leave it on the counter because French bread is actually a recipe for stale bread. Or you can freeze it for later.
    2. Use a vanilla. It won't affect the macros but will upgrade the taste. I make my own to cut on cost.
    3. Soak the bread much longer.
    4. 0% milk beats most vegan milks on macros.
    5. 3~5g of butter is worth the calories due to the noticeable taste alteration.

That's exactly how you make this: use bread that is a few days old.
Using that spongy "toast bread" kills the idea of not throwing away food so that's a no-no.
But secondly it's like eating a moist sponge compared to using "real" bread that has a real crust.
I remember once the kids wanted some for weekend breakfast but we had no bread left so I used "toast bread" instead. They said it was like eating soft baby food.

Didn't know about the pre-toasting step, I'll definitely try that next time.
What I usually do is to mix one (sometimes two) eggs, with a 2 tablespoons of skim milk, then I add cinnamon and nutmeg as well as 30g of protein powder (usually just plain vanilla casein powder). I mix that in a blender (the casein is kinda difficult to whisk smooth by hand) , then soak the bread in the mixture and cook them in a pan. I don't add any sweetener to the batter. I top it with fruit(s) and drizzle it with low/zero calorie maple flavoured syrup. It's delicious, and it keeps me full for several hours (like 5-6hrs).

Everyone makes a protein versions of some breakfast item and claims it tastes the same or better than the real thing, and they are either lying or are in deep denial. The protein version is almost always worse, ESPECIALLY when you add whey. But sometimes you just make the sacrifice of calories and taste to meet your goals.

The idea of this recipe has traditionally been about not throwing away old bread.
Secondly, using "toast bread" is like eating a moist sponge compared to using "real" bread that has a crust, texture and consistency. Not to mention the chemicals added to industrial breads like whiteners, dough conditioners and rising agents is part of that whole processed foods it's best to avoid. (potassium bromate, Azodicarbonamide in food are allowed in US foods, banned elsewhere)
I once used "toast bread" instead for the kids, they said it was like eating soft baby food.

You can order them relatively cheap from prozis - about 4,50 per kg average after one of the codes. But they are factory farmed in france..if you can live with that- they are pretty good to use for everything

Stevia is bitter Erythritol is cold. If you combine both (a few rounds of testing to find the sweet spot) and you have the perfect sweetener. Erythritol kicks the bitternes out of stevia and stevia takes the cold taste away from Ery.

I would highly recommended Nature's Own Life Honey Wheat bread. It's only 40cal per slice and I've never had another light bread that is that low of calories but is still the size of regular bread and still tastes like regular bread.
