Made it last night, put in the fridge and just had it cold for breakfast this morning. So delicious! I added some vanilla extract and lemon juice. No eggy taste and definitely doesn’t taste like scrambled eggs. Thank you for the recipe!
Helpful tip, if you want to reduce the egg flavor, throw the batter into the fridge for 6 hours before transferring it to your baking pan. Works for most recipes that use mixed eggs.
@@shauryakapoor2122 Basically eggs only hold onto certain chemical compounds in their protein structures because they can't escape under normal conditions. Exposing it to the cold air in your fridge helps release some of the compounds that lead to most of the "egg" smell. It's the same reason why if you take hard boiled eggs and leave them uncovered in your fridge the entire thing starts smelling like sulfur. But in that case, the proteins have been cooked and sulfur now can escape. Scrambled eggs lock in the sulfur, which is why they don't smell, but the cooked protein chains can no longer hold as much water. Which is why they are that texture when cooked.
I make this all the time and there's a couple important things you need to do to keep it from tasting like scrambled eggs: First use only egg yolks, or use half yolks, half full eggs. Second, when you remove it from the oven, let it sit on the counter for 30 minutes. After that, immediately refrigerate for at least 2 hours. This is a very important step! Also, It's not really meant to be eaten hot. It's like a yogurt flavored custard cheesecake. I use flavored vanilla bean Greek yogurt. If you're using plain I would add extra honey or erythritol alcohol sugar substitute and vanilla. You can also omit the flour and use a few tablespoons of cornstarch (lower carbs). Clean up is a lot easier if you line the pan with parchment paper. Serve chilled, great for breakfast.
Hi! Thanks for sharing such an awesome tips! That's why I enjoyed it cold, straight from the fridge, even more, and definitely vanilla will make it taste more like a dessert.
"Also, It's not really meant to be eaten hot." We're all unique; some like it hot, and some like it cold. Food is meant to be eaten however you fancy. 😀
I guess it depends what you want, if you want more protein, I'd leave it with full eggs. If you care more about the taste and less calls, just use egg yolks, or half-and-half. You could also use lemon juice to cut down the eggy taste. Also, just like a cheese cake, it can be eaten both ways hot or cold, it's all preference.

I made this today - delicious. I will be making it again, next time I will add vanilla essence and dust the top with a little nutmeg - fruity egg custard.
I default add a teaspoon or two of vanilla to pretty much any baked dessert, or pancakes, German/Dutch pancakes, waffles, crepes. Love this recipe, always looking for ways to kick up the protein. Keeping it simple is all the better. Looks yummy! I’ll be trying it today or tomorrow 😊💕

Made this for the family and it’s great! Then made it again per request from my son. We chill it in the fridge overnight and have been eating it cold for breakfast. Thx!! Note: I added a bit of vanilla extract and upped the Agave to 4 Tbsp to add a bit more sweetness.
I recommend switching allulose and perhaps monk fruit in for the agave. Agave is higher in fructose than high fructose corn syrup. This stuff will give you fatty liver faster than anything. That said, if you are already eating healthy and have no metabolic issues, then go with what you want.
Hey there, I took Skyr instead of greek yoghurt, and since i had no alternatives i took all purpose flour. I have tasted eggs, yes. But it was as far drom scrampled eggs as it could be. It tasted exactly like cheescake filling. I put Erythrit in it, a sweeterner with 0 calories and i took 3/4th of everything. Im so full now, a whole sweet and filling breakfast with ~700 kcal, perfect!
I make it with lemon flavored Greek yogurt. The recipe I have didn't say anything about adding fruit, so I am going to try that. I think I will use strawberry Greek yogurt and add fresh strawberries. Also, the recipe I have calls for four tablespoons of cornstarch instead of the flour. That works for me because I always have cornstarch.

Adding different type of sweetner would be just fine, and for the lemon... I think it would be better to go with mixed berries if you want to add a bit of tang to it.
Hi SW-dm3qr, if your Mom is Diabetic, stay away from the agave. It has an average of 16 carbs per 1 tablespoon and the equivalent of four teaspoons of sugar per tablespoon of agave. Just because it's natural, doesn't make it healthy. @Angelanderson9515 made a great suggestion regarding the lemon/and or lemon rind and @Michellewalkerwebb made an excellent point about the sugar free maple syrup. All the best to you and your Mom!

Just made this with apple, great for a high protein breakfast. Yes it tastes of eggs but that's what you expect from this kind of ingredients. Many thanks for posting it I was looking for an alternative to savory breakfast muffins and this fits the bill 👍
That a yogurt cake. I wonder if you can put an oatmeal crumble/granola-type topping on it as is done with cinnamon swirl coffee cake. Lemon juice and zest would lean towards a cheesecake flavor, and blueberry and lemon flavors marry well. They make each other very happy !
Great recipe. I can't wait to give it a try. I like the ingredients. I will use Stevia liquid since Agave is not good for blood sugar. Thank you for the recipe.

I make this recipe all the time and here's how to fix that: use only egg yolks, or use 2 egg yolks, 2 full eggs. Second, when you remove it from the oven let it sit on the counter for 30 minutes. After that, immediately refrigerate it for at least 2 hours. This is a very important step if you don't want to taste like scrambled eggs. Also, it's not meant to be eaten hot. If you can't prepare this within 5 minutes, you don't need to be in the kitchen. Plus, he doesn't say prep and cook within 5 minutes, so pay attention before speaking.
I have learned to read ALL recipes through before attempting. I’ve read recipes that neglected to include marinating the meat for 45 or putting an item in the fridge for an hour before continuing.
I will add a bit of vanilla, and a lime zest and maybe use only 3 eggs. I’ll use regular flour w/ a tablespoon of flax seed, and a bit of regular sugar. We’ll see how it goes.
Since I have so many allergies I’m going to have to try this but I’m going to add cream cheese to it as well. I usually get the Oikos Greek yogurt with extra protein in vanilla flavour
No, just use a sweetener that’s no carbs, like stevia, erythritol, monk fruit..etc then it’s just the carbs of the yogurt and berries, cuz eggs have none!
I tried this on the original recipe he puts out then subbed whole eggs for egg whites and it worked great and cut the calories down. Vanilla extract also helps
It literally takes less than 5 minutes to make this and put it in the oven. Of course you have to do dishes and there is a cook time. Food doesn't instantly cook and dishes don't wash themselves, that's part of the equation when making anything even something as simple as scrambled eggs.
Um he literally said recipe you can whip up in 5 mins/ prep time... which is accurate... so im not sure what ypur droning on about... however long it takes you to clean a mixing bowl and a couple utensils is on YOU..... are you going t,o blame the content creator for your dirty laundry too???. IF you have ZERO time to spend in the kitchen.. stop complaining and don't make stuff.. simple solution .... and stop being a weirdo..SMH
This is awesome looking. I will make it and give it to my dad for breakfast. He loves sweets, but he doesn't need processed foods and refined sugar. Of course he could use the protein, and he'll like the berry taste. Thanks.
if you don't want an egg taste , do this..separate the eggs, mix the white and mix the yolks with the sweetener. fold the yolk and white mixture together . next fold in yoghurt ( if the yoghurt got lumps mix it first before folding it wit the egg mixture) .then fold in the flour.. at last fold in the fruit.
I was thinking you could also separate the yolk from the whites. whip the whites into a decent meringue and cream the yolks with the greek yogurt add the blueberries to that. Once incorporated fold the whites back into it then put it in the pan to bake. that should also give some volume to it same as the oat flour
Made it last night, put in the fridge and just had it cold for breakfast this morning. So delicious! I added some vanilla extract and lemon juice. No eggy taste and definitely doesn’t taste like scrambled eggs. Thank you for the recipe!

koliko mi je drago da vidim nase ljude kako uspevaju, samo napred brt:)
Can't wait to try this!
Happy baking!
Its easy to prepare and bake. I like to use banana as well as blueberries. For added protein i use a spoonful of vanilla protein powder.
Fantastic! You are amazing, I will give it a try for sure. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for your feedback!
I use stevia for sweetener. As a diabetic, I find honey and agave nectar has a high impact on blood sugar.
How much stevia would you use for this type of dessert?
Really enjoying this channel amen.
Thanks for sharing,
James
Thanks for your feedback James, I appreciate it!
Just made this with apple, great for a high protein breakfast. Yes it tastes of eggs but that's what you expect from this kind of ingredients. Many thanks for posting it I was looking for an alternative to savory breakfast muffins and this fits the bill 👍
Looks delicious!!
Thanks Sarah!
I made it this weekend, and it's fantastic!!! Thank you for helping me keep my diet goals with a healthy dessert!!!
Have you looked through his channel?
Sure, adding some granola on top would work great... but adding lemon is not something I would do, this yogurt bake is not too sweet at all...
Great recipe. I can't wait to give it a try. I like the ingredients. I will use Stevia liquid since Agave is not good for blood sugar. Thank you for the recipe.
Thank you from Jerusalem! Perfect for upcoming holiday of Passover! Love all your work! Been with you since very beginning-you’re terrific! Wishing you continued success and wellbeing, Sasha! 🙏🌿🌷🌿🖖
Hi there, it's great to have you here and I'm super grateful for all of your support! Happy holidays!
Just made this and it was fantastic! Might add a bit of vanilla extract next time
Just made this today - quick, easy and delicious! Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for trying it out!
Just made this but was cautious and halved the recipe. Instant regret it is sooooo good, I should have tripled the ingredients! Yum
Looks delicious and easy to make! Thank you for the recipe. 😃❤️🙏🏻
You're very welcome, hope you'll find it delicious!
Chef tip - you can make your own oat or almond flour in a small Krups-style coffee & spice grinder. Works great!
I absolutely love this recipe thank you so much I am getting ready to make it again
Delicious I put pudding powder no flower. TY
amazing the number of great ides you have!
Hey man, good to see you in the comments, I'm glad you're back on the platform... and as always I appreciate your kind words of support! Will check out your new video.
Looks amazing! Really looking forward to baking this tomorrow. Thank you so much. Gratitude and blessings to you.
Not gonna lie mine tasted like scrambled eggs and strawberries, the plot has been lost.
Thanks for trying it out anyway!
@@HowToCookSmarterhahaha great response 😂😂😂😂
I make this recipe all the time and here's how to fix that: use only egg yolks, or use 2 egg yolks, 2 full eggs. Second, when you remove it from the oven let it sit on the counter for 30 minutes. After that, immediately refrigerate it for at least 2 hours. This is a very important step if you don't want to taste like scrambled eggs. Also, it's not meant to be eaten hot. It's more like a yogurt flavored custard cheesecake. I use flavored vanilla bean Greek yogurt. If you're using plain I would add extra honey or erythritol alcohol sugar substitute.
Give it another shot! It really is good for breakfast!
@@misslayer999thank you for sharing your tips!
Try adding vanilla extract (not essence)
Just made this and it is amazing! I love the texture.
That's great news, so glad you enjoyed it!
This looks so good. Yogurt is on my shopping list. Can't wait to try this one, thank you Sasha for all your better-for-you recipes!🙂🫐
Thanks Toni! Hope you'll find it delicious!
5 minutes???
He said 5 minutes of prep time.
AE?
If you can't prepare this within 5 minutes, you don't need to be in the kitchen. Plus, he doesn't say prep and cook within 5 minutes, so pay attention before speaking.
yeah , whip up he said
I have learned to read ALL recipes through before attempting. I’ve read recipes that neglected to include marinating the meat for 45 or putting an item in the fridge for an hour before continuing.
Though I'm not good at cooking , i can make it easily. Thanks for ur recipe

I just made it after work , wow it fantastic 🥰 I had it hot , couldn’t wait to try it , thank you for sharing!!!!! X
Every commenter but me: I made this recipe except I changed the fruit, the flavoring, the main ingredients, the side ingredients, ad nauseum.
Thanks for the amazing recipes!
@1:25 Frozen Blubaries 😂
I immediately came to the comments after hearing that😂
Lmaooo
I will add a bit of vanilla, and a lime zest and maybe use only 3 eggs.
I’ll use regular flour w/ a tablespoon of flax seed, and a bit of regular sugar. We’ll see how it goes.
That would be great! Happy baking!
@@HowToCookSmarter just made it! It was delicious!
"5 minutes..." "pop into the oven for half an hour"
Love it. I'm going to put blackberries and raspberries in there.
Same.
Do not use metal spoon for honey, use wooden or plastic
That was Agave in the video, not honey. And the metal spoon in honey has been debunked btw. Stainless especially
@@theeforeigngoddessthere’s an old wives tale about it ruining the enzymes in honey
@@theeforeigngoddessit’s an old wives tale that has long been debunked.
@@theeforeigngoddess don't get married it's a trap
Since I have so many allergies I’m going to have to try this but I’m going to add cream cheese to it as well. I usually get the Oikos Greek yogurt with extra protein in vanilla flavour
That would great too, happy baking!
20 g of carbs per slice!! That’s half my carbs for the whole day!
That's barely third of my carbs per one meal 😊
great for bulking
Have half a slice then.
No, just use a sweetener that’s no carbs, like stevia, erythritol, monk fruit..etc then it’s just the carbs of the yogurt and berries, cuz eggs have none!
Well don't make it sound hen
I tried this on the original recipe he puts out then subbed whole eggs for egg whites and it worked great and cut the calories down. Vanilla extract also helps
That's great news, thanks for trying it out and sending over your feedback!
5 minutes... more like 1 hour, using oven and cleaning dishes afterwards
It literally takes less than 5 minutes to make this and put it in the oven. Of course you have to do dishes and there is a cook time. Food doesn't instantly cook and dishes don't wash themselves, that's part of the equation when making anything even something as simple as scrambled eggs.
@@chipchippahson so ill stick with dry meat and fruit. i just had some hope if there is a 5 minute miracle dish, but ofcourse not

I made this using tofu and aquafaba instead of eggs and it turned out great.
DICKSOFT? WHAT? 0:58
SAFT
and SAFT means SAUCE
so yea it' a DICKSOUCE
Ok then. Dicksauce..
😂😂
This is my absolute favorite recipe! So easy, so delicious it's better than cheesecake in my book!!❤
This is awesome looking. I will make it and give it to my dad for breakfast. He loves sweets, but he doesn't need processed foods and refined sugar. Of course he could use the protein, and he'll like the berry taste. Thanks.
Hope he'll enjoy this kind of breakfast!
I couldn't find anything to poke fun at in this video. I think I'll try this for myself. Thanks
You are so smart, love your Accenture. Wonderful video. Well done!
To remove egg flavor you can add a bit of lemon zest and juice
if you don't want an egg taste , do this..separate the eggs, mix the white and mix the yolks with the sweetener. fold the yolk and white mixture together . next fold in yoghurt ( if the yoghurt got lumps mix it first before folding it wit the egg mixture) .then fold in the flour.. at last fold in the fruit.
I was thinking you could also separate the yolk from the whites. whip the whites into a decent meringue and cream the yolks with the greek yogurt add the blueberries to that. Once incorporated fold the whites back into it then put it in the pan to bake. that should also give some volume to it same as the oat flour
Wow 30 g of protein for 400 calories is pretty good macro for a dessert . Gona try this week ! Thank for sharing this recipe 🙏🏻❤️
Glad you like the recipe, hope you'll find it delicious!
Looks great. Making asap! Thanks for helping me in my quest to eat healthier (and still enjoy it!)❤
I just turned this into a milkshake using some ice. Super good, thanks for the recipe! 🎉
Love it!
Ewww that sounds gross!
Looks delicious! I believe the probiotic properties of the yogurt will get destroyed by baking, but at least the protein remains.
