Thank you Tim and Stacy for very informative lesson today with descriptive cues for a more perfect alignment. A ton of information,! A lot to process and a lot to practice.
Your instruction is so perfect. Coming back to this video often allows for those little adjustments and tweaks to improve each posture. Many thanks Tim.
this was great! You should call it "Yoga Myth-Busters"! I'm very flexible and can get my body in a lot of positions, so I really need these types of sequences to get stronger and increase my awareness about what I'm doing. Thanks!
Great practice Tim and the cutest woman on planet earth: Stacy. The practices have gotten much more challenging and I appreciate it immensely. On another note, you are so correct about harder poses Tim, I was able to do head stand before I could do crow or side crow. It is all about mind and body connection.
Tim, I LOVED, LOVED this class. I am the one the had the spinal surgery. I was taught yoga in the Iyengar Tradition and have to say that it has served me very well...In yoga and in life. I am really into the whole mind-body thing and could hold a pose forever searching for the best alignment...pure meditation for me...
What a perfect session this is! You really made more comfortable in my yoga practice. I love how you take time to focus on the right pose with the body. I am going through a burn-out, and your challenge gets me back to being me, to be one in mind and body. Thank you Tim! 🙏🏼 Namaste 💖.
Lightbulb moment! Squaring of the hips! I cannot tell you how often I have looked in the mirror and tried to square my hips whilst having my knee towards my front toe and been frustrated with myself that if one was aligned the other wasn`t! Changing the angle of the back foot instead totally helped me to tune into what my hips were able(and not able ) to do! Lesson for today? Listen to your body - it knows what it’s doing! Thank you so much x
Despite you saying you explained too much, this really helps me focus on the parts of the body that are and the ones that aren’t supposed to move. It has been really useful for me to advance in the poses and not hurt my body accidentally. It makes me keep my mind attentive to my body and I’m so concentrated that there’s little wandering. This way I can appreciate all the work my body does for me.
My favorite video so far! Tim, I love when you take more time to explain exactly what I should and should't be feeling in the poses and I love when you have Stacey on because she is so good at going slow in the poses and mirroring what you are explaining. I felt so into my body! Fantastic job you two!!! :-)
Thank you for addressing the issues of "shoulders down" and "square your hips." The information you shared will be helpful to so many people! And thanks to Stacy and Ollie as well!
So here is exactly why I always come back and highly recommend Tim's practice...The EDUCATION! I cannot understand why so many practitioners gravitate and swear by other youtube subscriptions that I have followed for many months, waiting, waiting for it to get more interesting/challenging. Other "easier" or "lackadaisical" type practices are very relaxing, absolutely, but leave so much at the table...At least for me. Fortunately, there are many options for those of us who enjoy a home practice :)
You truly are the most incredible instructor. This video was fantastic. I will keep going back to it. I so love learning the subtle changes in position etc. It makes such a difference. Loved this so much. Thank you Tim, Stacey and Ollie
Wow, Tim. Your instruction is so relatable and commonsensical. I got a lot out of this one. Always keeping me in check. How did you know i needed these reminders today. 😂😀 never stop being you. X
Loved this practice ... Best of the series. The very concise and clear instructions let me refine how i work within my own body. I have saved this and will work with it again. This is teaching at it's best - Thank you Tim!
This slow, conscious, careful and explicit guide to holding attention to the various muscle groups and integuments in the back, core and feet was so helpful. Many of your previous sequences have helped me get to the place where I've built an ability to perform these asanas intuitively, but bringing my attention to the muscle groups showed me why my headstand and handstand aren't coming to me naturally. I appreciate the time and care that you put into explaining this, as I'm now more keenly aware of where I still need to cultivate the mind-muscle connection and develop more strength and flexibility. Your insight into the common problems faced by novice yogis and your willingness to carefully and patiently explain them along with correctives is so refreshing and admirable.
Tim, I’m a few days behind in the challenge, but this video was fantastic! The subtle things to notice and work on are so helpful. So meaningful to think about intentions while fine tuning the practice. Thanks again!
This was so great! I loved how Stacy demonstrated slowly getting into down dog and the correct shoulder movements were really helpful as well. I really appreciate the time you spend to show poses correctly and how from your head to your toes they should look and feel. Because of this time you take, I have come to love yoga the last couple of years. Thank you!
So many usefull informations... my shoulders and my neck feels much happier :-) I was so focused I didn’t see the end coming. Thanks a lot Stacy and Tim
Love the way we've been warming up lately during the challenge! I really feel I'm building a foundation for my practice and not feeding bad habits and bad postures.
Super informational video for all practitioners👍👍 I also noticed that you have TONS of viewers who aren’t taking the time to 👍 your videos??? Come on people!!!! It only takes a few seconds to support this outstanding yoga guru who you are obviously enjoying🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Happy to see Stacy and Ollie! I'm going to do this one again- really need to think about my shoulder blades, back muscles and trapezius- I liked the workshop type session. Thanks!
Thank you so much. I really appreciated the info about the hips in warrior 2. I never understood how my body was supposed to do that one before. Very helpful! :) cute doggie.
Really loved this video. Maybe not the typical 'getting after it', but sometimes I feel too rushed to try and refine what I'm doing so it was nice to be able to slow things down and spent a bit more time on each pose. Thanks so much!
This video was so helpful!!! I'm much more aware of my body while doing the poses and frankly also off the mat! Thanks so much, Tim, it's a blessing to have you contributing with your knowledge!
This was a solid workshop. For the several years I’ve been doing yoga in a studio, this really helped to explain where I’m supposed to keep my shoulders. Thanks for this one. I feel better about my practice more than I have since the start. Now to master that full vertical leg. Almost there. Cheers.
Thank you Tim! I love the conscious movements. I need to be more at attention with the conscious movements. Thank you for pointing it out! Have a great day!
What a great instructional video, I'm going to do this one a few more times in the coming weeks to make sure I really have locked down those details in my head for whenever I practice. My arms were aching though from holding out whilst you explained stuff!
when i tell ppl i practice yoga via youtube, often i hear in response, "oh i could never bc i don't know if i'm doing it right" / "i need a teacher to correct my alignment." tim, you're so good consistently about talking thru the alignments/energies/postures, and this video was great. when we go into savasana, i like when you guide us in the breath and relaxing the body! otherwise for me it gets too quiet haha.
Really appreciate the detailed instructions you put in, and I'm starting to get a better sense of why the poses are the way they are. Again, thank you for the challenge.
Fantastic instruction. Very much enjoyed this workshop style, one of my fave type videos you do. As I do 99% home practice it is so very important to self-correct and have trustworthy instruction. Thank you so much. Also, love all the giggles you guys have whilst filming hehe :)
Tim, I will repeatedly come back to this practice! Thank you for spreading you conscious movement theory! I have taken so many yoga classes that are only interested in "jamming into poses".
Tim, for the first time I was able to go into Warrior on my weak side without leaning off-balance or using support. The back foot detail was what did it. Explaining the rotations, the hips, all of this was incredibly helpful. I'm saving this video for repeat instruction on form, for it is the best I've seen yet. Thank you for your thoughtful work.
Loved the practice today. I am mindfully making tiny corrections to my tadasana and dhandasana with your crystal clear instructions. Forever grateful, Tim!
this was so helpful! thank you tim! i'd never thought about moving really slowly into downward dog before to make sure my arms were kept engaged. something i'm going to pay more attention to from now on!
Great session, indeed very helpful to get those sensations in the body and integrate in daily life and yoga. Many thanks for your work, I love it and it comes with synchronicity in my life when I need it the most 🙏🏾
Fantastic teaching points, really helpful for me as a teacher..thank you 🙏 great practice. Im a couple of days behind due to illness but im back on it!!💯
Great practice. I had felt a bit out of my depth on a couple of this course vids but this one was super useful. Need a stage beyond beginner but not too advanced. I have no interest in the poses as such…just being able to do the basic foundations properly. This really helped with that. More please🙏
Thank you, Catherine. When you finish this course, you’ll have to try the what’s next course on the CMC. It picks up where this leaves off and keeps you progressing in the basics to get stronger and more flexible. :)
Thank you Tim and Stacy for very informative lesson today with descriptive cues for a more perfect alignment. A ton of information,! A lot to process and a lot to practice.
Our pleasure! Very glad it was helpful, Richard! :)

That was such a helpful video. It's so easy to think you're getting it right and then a slight adjustment makes all the difference. Thank you.
Totally! You're welcome Kimberley!

Awesome. Training with you made me understand the positions for the first time really clearly.
Never really had an instructor explain the poses in such detail. This is so helpful, I only wish I had done this years ago. Thanks Tim!
