One of the greatest songs in the universe.
This song should be the anthem of the universe.
Accurate enough

Yes Kashmir is my all-time favorite song will always stick with that
Not enough is ever said about John Paul Jones 🎶 The man is genius!! One of the best bass players to ever live not to mention his keyboard talents 🎶 He played the foot pedal bass too while playing keyboards!!
They're a power band for sure, I don't think anyone in this band wasn't musically talented, they're just like "look what we can do" in every song.
It must kill other bands to hear this song and know they never even came close to this level of perfection.
PS. Pink Floyd excepted.
@@emerdog6688 I don't think even Pink Floyd ever reached this level of greatness and that's saying a lot!
Sucks to be EVERY other band EVER!!!! Too bad for them….ZEPPELIN GOAT…..BOTTOM LINE !!!!
@@emerdog6688 Pink Floyd only had 4 good albums
@@Kashmir.820 The Doors 🚪
It is said all 4 band members were especially proud of this one.
This song takes you on a spiritual journey.
This came out when I was 14 years old in Australia and blew my little mind and I’ve loved them ever since. This is my absolute favourite song of theirs!!
This epic song is from their 1975 Physical Graffiti double album. A masterpiece!
This song is amazing! See it live from Knebworth in 1979...killer!
Biz!!! Another wonderful reaction!! Thank you. GOTTA SEE THIS LIVE. The best live version (in many people's opinion) is from the reunion concert in 2007 when the 3 surviving members of the band (Robert in his late 50s and JPJ and Page in their 60s) joined with the son of their late drummer. The band broke up in 1980 when their drummer John Bonham died. In 2007, the four came together and performed an out of this world concert - first time the 3 surviving members had played together in 27 years!! (except for a few numbers for a couple of benefits in the interim) The link to the 2007 performance is here it is as good as the studio recording - audio and visual FANTASTIC ua-cam.com/video/PD-MdiUm1_Y/v-deo.html FUN FACT Many Led Zeppelin songs have been sampled by rap and hip/hop artists. Kashmir is one of the most sampled. PDiddy used Kashmir in the soundtrack for the 1998 movie Godzilla in the song Come With Me - Jimmy Page and PDiddy performed the song on Saturday Night Live in 1998 and at a benefit concert in 1999 - link to that concert ua-cam.com/video/60ZYG3AIcwk/v-deo.html
Great info!
I love how they call it sampling...it is actually stealing. Those that don't have the talent to create steal from those who do.
My absolute favorite Led Zeppelin
song. Total 🔥 Great reaction!! 👍🏾
I love your break down of the lyrics.
Robert's voice is perfection & that's
one seriously nasty guitar riff!! 🎸
Subscribed, nice effort my friend.
Keep going down that Zeppelin rabbit hole, it is deep.
I think you had things pretty much spot on, if memory serves me well the band wrote this song after spending time in Morocco. I believe Robert Plant found the experience very spiritual. Just subscribed today
he did as they were crossing the desert....he said it was so spiritual that he freaked out...
Ok, gotta flex, Led Zepplin was my first concert in 1976 at the Seattle Kingdome, 15 years old and went with a friend 16, first of many great concerts through the 70's and 80's.
Masterpiece
Yes indeed!
Gotta love the old DAGDAD guitar tuning it just sounds so epic and so many ways to use it , this song is always my favourite just transports you to a faraway land in your head and soul
Such a monstrous Godzilla of a track!
Yet Godzilla couldn't stop P.Diddy from leaving his skid marks on this track lol
I've been trying to watch your Zep videos in album order to appreciate your journey into (one of the) greatest band ever. Sometimes you actually bring me back to how I felt the first time I ever heard each song 40 something years ago. That's special. Thank you. Greatest rock sonor ever
This was when they were young men back in the 70's. If you want to see epic watch them at the O2 in 2007 when they were much older
Absolutely love that version
You ought to here and watch their latest live version of this ... when they were in their late 60s and early 70s! Done in 2005, some 35+ years after their beginning....
The trick of this song is the space in between notes.... in breathes.
You MUST watch this one live.......either Knebworth 1979 or Celebration Day O2 reunion concert in London 2007. By the Way.....this is Robert Plant’s favorite Zeppelin song.....
Robert wrote these lyrics while on one of his many trips to Morocco and the Atlas Mountains and the edge of the Sahara. The two places in the world that are spiritual homes for Robert are the Atlas Mountains and the hills and mountains of Wales. He now lives on the Welch borderlands of England and travels to Morocco as often as he can....He knows and loves the people there....the Ganawa tribe especially. Robert and Jimmy Page traveled many times to Morocco in the seventies and in the nineties. Moroccan and North African music have deeply influenced Robert Plant’s music for decades. He even traveled to Mali....north of Timbuktu in 2003 I believe to attend and play at a desert music festival....with a gathering of Tuaregs and other tribes. There is a documentary on UA-cam about this trip and the music is hypnotic and amazing.
Robert Plant, the singer, brought Jimmy Page, the guitarist, to Morocco. The inspiration from that trip is where this song came from.
Such a great song!!!!! You may want to check out 'Goin To California'....GROOVY ASS SONG!!!!! I can guarantee you will be amazed by where Robert Plant can go with that AMAZING voice of his. Love your channel Bro......
I'd just got back from my date with the head cheerleader on my 18th birthday! Dad had let me use the Pinto Wagon and I was just sitting listening to this song and looking out the Moon Roof before I went home. it's been my favorite song ever since.
Great story...ah, the memories 🥰🥰
I watched a video related to this song of elderly in India they had visited..Seldom Seen,Sit and wait..etc..All time favorite band ✌💚
This was the big one. Plant's favorite Zep tune. It does have a certain epic movie quality to it.
This is just one of the best songs they ever preformed!
Whats the best led zep track ever? The last 1 i listened to usually
Clever and true !
This song transforms you emotionally
Thank you BizMatik, This song is Hypnotic!
This and Achilles Last Stand are Epic, still blows me away how good this band was 👏Rock at it's finest G.O.A.T.
Alright ..... I’ve calmed down a bit now ... haha 😂 Okay, I think that you need to listen to “When The Levee Breaks” and “Black Dog” next ... 🤷♀️🔥🔥🔥 Yeah, still a little hyped cause now your video is playing again and I’m getting caught back up in that!! 🔥🔥🔥 And I forgot to mention, I loved how you broke down the first verse!!! 💯💯💯 A spiritual journey for sure 🤘💯🔥
Did I mention how much I loved this??? Haha and watching you get caught up in it all ... sent me on a journey back to better days 💯🔥
*Edit -* Had to edit this to add “When The Levee Breaks” ... my bad ... but I was still on the “Biz reviews Kashmir FINALLY” high and I cannot be held personally responsible for my lack of being able to form a complete thought, much less convey the jumbled thoughts that were racing around in my head at the time 🤷♀️🤦♀️😂😂
Dance, the visual representation of music, best exemplified and demonstrated by you in this video. It could have been sign language of a great musical piece, to the deaf. My favorite.
I think he is talking about the people around the Atlas mountains in Morocco. South of Marrakesh. A lot of people would go to Marrakesh to smoke hash. They ventured outside of the city and spoke to local elders.
My favourite song by my favourite band. Doesn't get better than Kashmir.
crazy!!!
It was fun watching you listen to this. It's my all time favorite song.
Try some music by YES one of the greatest progressive rock groups of all time and my favorite. Some good ones include "Roundabout", "Close to the Edge", "The Gates of Delirium". "Awaken", "Turn of the Century"... Loads of good ones.
This cant be beat from another realm.
Thanks Again for reacting to this Great Tune!! Sound Familiar??? Sean Puffy Combs (-P Ditty) utilized this tune in the GODZILLA movie!!!
Stairway to Heaven will always be my favorite song, Kashmir is by far, one of the greatest songs they did. I've never been able to put it above Stairway, but I hate saying it comes in 2nd, cause it doesn't. :D
So amazing,Led zep surpass themselves each time. The main riff was soundtrack in Godzilla.
Puff Daddy or whatever he’s calling himself these days, sampled this beat back in the day and it just went to show , it’s not that some things should not be sampled but some things simply can not.
You should really listen to the re-done version on the Page/Plant cd No Quarter, it's re-done with an Egyptian orchestra that really adds some stank to it.
And please don't jump on the wagon and say it wasn't Egyptian I'm just going by what they introduced them as when I went to the No Quarter tour. Phenomenal concert by the way!
Hello there , im your Zepphead for life thanks
Now you gotta try Zep's The Ocean & The Crunge! (studio recordings, please)
I would like to see you do Kashmir live Celebration Day O2 Arena. Much older but still got it. Kashmir is my top Zep song.
One of my favorite ones ever
Sitting with elders of a gentle race. Talk of days for which they sit and wait. All will be revealed. He is literally (in the song anyway! in Kashmir with these fellas. The inspiration was a trip to the Moroccan coast. Page was with him.
Sometimes I find this song a little slow and ponderous. Similarly I think Whole Lotta Love is a better song without the interlude. I've listened to both songs hundreds and hundreds of times.
I love your stuff, your taste, and I'm subscribed. I hear you - your goal for the year for 100K subscribers. So I'm gonna tell you the one thing that makes me spend less time here. Who knows, maybe it's keeping your numbers below where they could be. Here it is. Your background music when you speak (before and after the featured tune) is at the same level as your voice, and it makes it hard to focus on what you're saying...which is why we're here, right? I'm an audiophile. I can't handle two competing audio inputs at the same level -- it instantly makes me squirm and run. May I suggest you try turning down your background music by about half and see how that is?
Genius!!! Masterpiece!!! 👏🏼
Biz - you gotta do Stevie Ray Vaughn! Start with 'Voodo Chile ' and then take your pick of Stevie 's amazing back catalog!
This song is off Physical Grafitti , check that album out , a double album , its a Masterpiece 🤘🏻
Check out “Fool in the Rain” by Led Zeppelin
Please, let's celebrate Jimmy's 77th Birthday on January 8!
Please have a Zep day. Please ☺️🙏
Respectfully, his birthday is on the 9th 🙂 great reaction would be from the Royal Albert Hall concert on his birthday 1/9/1970. Here's a link to the fabulous Dazed & Confused LIVE from that concert film ua-cam.com/video/8WoQDpz7HOM/v-deo.html
I love plants voice in this song
"Kashmir" = 🔥🔥🔥
Puff Daddy sampled Kashmir for a song from one of the Godzilla movies
Fire up a indica strain joint ...shut up enjoy the ride...first time before later good 👍 buddy of mine, Scooter .simultaneously introduced me to both with head phones and a bong haha 😄
.
I love your apluase at the end
Gotta listen to heartbreaker/ lovind maid back to back
Actually saw page and Plant do this in the 90s in Detroit with Egyptian state orchestra and it was actually better than the LP version
There is no other rock song that comes close or sounds remotely like this. Robert Plant is the best that ever was.
I gotta do this keep keeping it real brother
Hey Mr. BizMatik my brotha, You need to check out a band called BUDGIE. Another three man band from the 70's that bring it everytime. React to a song called, "Breaking All The House Rules", studio version. I PROMISE, you are going to like them!!! C'MON MAN!!! Do it my brotha!!!!
Fool In The Rain?
‘Cmon!
kashmir is frkn amazing
Listen to Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song”. Definitely.
.....to sit with elders of a gentle race....this world has seldom seen......
It is very mideastern while they traveled through Morocco.
Morocco is middle eastern now?
Procure no Google ou no UA-cam uma performance do Robert Plant e do Jimmy Page com uma orquestra egípcia (não sei bem a nacionalidade)! É demais esse vídeo e os arranjos! Hugs! From Ilha de Paquetá - Rio de Janeiro - RJ - Brasil com S! ✨💖🇧🇷
Takes you on a journey to the Middle East 😮
Off one of the greatest rock albums ever written, Physical Graffiti...a must listen.
While I agree that Physical Graffiti is a great album, the last side is a collection of songs recorded and not released from the previous albums, much like their 'Coda'. So technically, it isn't a truely individual album. The four sides are compiled brilliantly, but it's just not 100% written as a whole. Just saying.
Masterpiece
As many times as I've heard this song, the composition still amazes me, so epic, and Plants vocals are on a plane of their own
Fave song since’75…. It’s my ringtone!!!!
Jimmy Page has said in an interview that this is his all time fave Zeppelin track.
Rumor has it Leonardo Da Vinci couldn’t get Mona Lisa to smile for her portrait until he played this song
😂
Lol
Yeah....just join James Darren and Robert Colbert in "The Time Tunnel" and journey back, somehow get the song RIGHT and the voices RIGHT, with ALL the instruments, and convince Mona Lisa to smile. HA! ha!
Great great comment
Led Zeppelin are magic...they get in your blood, and stay forever!!❤🎶❤
8:18 Everyone watching you to see what your reaction will be to Robert's crescendo & note hold in the song. Your smile said it all. You didn't disappoint my friend. We all feel the same.
In the 45 years following this song, no one has come close to matching it.
This group was not just a group of musicians, it was a group of magicians who together formed the best rock band in history, the catalog of songs created is incredible. And it is incredible that 50 years later they are admired, copied and revered.
You're right man this is pure fire.
I suggest Achilles Last Stand and Nobody's Fault But Mine...two songs off of the Presence album.
Oh my damn you’ve arrived at greatness yet again....enjoy this one. Jimmy Page said he was messing around with tuning, then flipped the progression of chords and boom Kashmir was born. 🎼🎶🎤🎸🎹😎🔥🤘watch them do this live in 2008 with John Bonham’s son on drums, it’ll melt your face.
welcome to the music we grew up with. zep, floyd, sabbath, cream, purple, to name but a few. Dave south africa.
You are beginning to become my favorite reactor...keep up the good work!
Ten years gone.. I listen to this song when I’m happy, when I’m sad, it’s just one of those songs that stays with you till you breathe your last breath.. love the channel ☺️
😁
This song is timeless! Please react to No Quarter or Achilles Last Stand my personal favourites.
Their music legitimately makes me feel high
Yeah that's so true. mostly the manner he sings play the instruments. I think you can play better like him? Lol
I get that too on this song! I feel so high, I can't get enough of this song! It's real. It's the endorphins being release in our brains! I get them on some Prince songs, definitely on MJ's Butterflies! It is such a wonderful high!
Great reaction brother. I think you'll love When the Levee Breaks studio version.
Excellent review. After watching a few of your videos I must say, I love your outlook and insight. You've certainly earned my sub.
OMG!!!! YES!!!! I feel like it’s my birthday AND Christmas all over again!!!!! This was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I saw it flash across the screen while I was watching your NF drop but I didn’t see which one it was ... but I was hoping it was THIS one!!! Man, my face hurts so bad right now from smiling!!!! I TOLD YOU!!!! Hahaha I will never steer you wrong my friend 😉 Omg this was so good!!! I KNEW you would like this one!!! I am so excited still I can’t even think of another one to suggest right now!!! Whew!!! I gotta calm down for real!!! Hahaha And I gotta watch this again!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!! 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I would “like” this 1,000 times if I could!!!!!!! Haha
h
If you Love this!!!
You're gonna really love the Live version, 40 years on from the O2 London in 2007, with the Original Drummers son 'Jason Bohnam' playing!!!
It's Powerful, very, very Powerful!!...
Xx
Fun fact,,,,,,its official,,,you're a Zeppelin fan now. 👍👍👍😎
Watching the appreciation wash over you as you look into the camera smiling, it’s almost like I’m hearing it for the 1st time myself. Warms my heart and smiles my face. Freaking OUTSTANDING reaction my friend. Shows you are a true music lover.
Great energy, great reaction, makes me think you maybe a great human.
Peace to you and yours. ✌🏼
This song is so hypnotic, and epic. This could had easily been a James Bond theme song.
It definitely has that kind of epic sound and feel to it :)
I thought it was! Lol!
@@marilynk30 nope but could've been easily. 😁
Odd to mention, it was featured in the Godzilla soundtrack.
Seeing someone discover and love this music is a beautiful thing to witness it simply makes me feel good! Great job!
I think they have like 90 something songs , they are all amazing in some way or another. You're in for a lot of treats.
Great reaction to a truly great song! I've subscribed. :)
They are so diverse. Pick any song. They go from love songs to hard, nasty, hard shit.
The top of your head is about to come off my man! haha
right at 5;36,,, you lucky you had that hat and headphones on.... i seen your dome piece loosen! hahah
I am an appreciator of your appreciation!
